Abstract As with the PRISM 1.0 trial, an important outcome of the PRISM 2.0 trial is use of the PRISM system and use of the PRISM system compared to the control condition (a standard tablet without the PRISM software). Frequent use over time is an important measure of system success. Further, use data provide key measures of system usefulness and usability. What features do participants use most and how often? Within those features, what activities do they engage in? What are the patterns of use throughout the trial, and how does PRISM system use compare to the control condition? However, quantifying use is not an easy task. This talk presents the challenges of quantifying use of a complex, multi-faceted system, and of making meaningful comparisons in use between two very different systems. Analysis approaches and solutions are discussed.

Safe handling precautions are an important measure used to prevent occupational exposure to hazardous antineoplastic drugs. Historically, the terms ‘antineoplastic’, ‘chemotherapy’ and ‘cytotoxic’ are frequently conflated. However, many current antineoplastic drugs do not have cytotoxic mechanisms of actions, leading to confusion when developing safe handling policies. Based on the mechanistic criteria outlined in this review, we have compiled a list of the most commonly used antineoplastic drugs with their cytotoxic or non-cytotoxic designations. We propose that this list can be used when discussing drug-specific safe handling precaution measures.

Rural revitalization strategy is considered as an important measure in the realization of the modernization of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and rural education holds the balance in the strategy of rural revitalization. This article sticks to the “four confidences” from the perspective of the school, on the basis of the developing the happiness courses, contributing to the form of “triple learning across villages”, which is the new modality of rural curriculum education, and also exploring the new model of curriculum development featured rural characteristics, so as to devote to the new route of helping rural revitalization through education.

As people pay more and more attention to innovative talents, cultivating students' innovative ability has become the main starting point and ultimate goal of talent training in major universities. China needs a large number of innovative talents to realize the great national rejuvenation and to build the motherland's important reserve talent pool. Therefore, the effective cultivation of innovative ability is of great significance to the realization of the national talent training strategic goal. Aircraft-related majors are an important part of the national aerospace and aerospace majors, and training a group of innovative aerospace professionals is an important measure that the party and the country cannot ignore. This article takes how to train a group of innovative talents as a research starting point, and discusses the construction of aircraft-related professional courses and teaching strategies for the cultivation of innovative talents.

Abstract The itinerant notary system was an important measure taken by the Nationalist government in Nanjing to enhance its control of grassroots society in rural China. There was no intent to challenge the central government’s wishes of “enlarging government revenues for the benefit of the state treasury” and safeguarding the integrity of the central government’s jurisdiction, which made smooth implementation of the itinerant notary system possible. It was against this background that the court of Linxia, Gansu province, expanded its reach to local business centers, selected superintendents of public notaries from among local gentry elites, and offered awards for notary services. The itinerant notary system thus combined a “modern” legal institution transplanted from the West with endogenous resources, and turned out to be an experiment conducive to overcoming the either/or binary of Western vs. Chinese, exploring a pluralistic and less disruptive path of institutional development.

Vaccination is a very important measure for the prevention of various infections worldwide including the recent COVID-19 disease. However, until now the COVID-19 vaccine with various platforms has not been clinically tested on autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic disease (AIIRD) patients, due to caution against possible side effects and unknown efficacy. Several recent studies proved that there is increased risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection in AIIRD patients and moreover, those patients also have worse COVID-19 outcomes.  Thus, patients with AIIRD should be prioritized for vaccination because they have an increased burden of infections, including COVID-19. Many studies showed that inactivated/non-live vaccine is safe for AIIRD patients and do not cause disease exacerbations. We conclude that benefits of vaccination greatly outweigh the risks of infection and therefore, COVID-19 vaccines can also be administered safely in stable AIIRD patients.

The [Formula: see text]-extra edge-connectivity is an important measure for the reliability of interconnection networks. Recently, Yang et al. [Appl. Math. Comput. 320 (2018) 464–473] determined the [Formula: see text]-extra edge-connectivity of balanced hypercubes [Formula: see text] and conjectured that the [Formula: see text]-extra edge-connectivity of [Formula: see text] is [Formula: see text] for [Formula: see text]. In this paper, we confirm their conjecture for [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], and disprove their conjecture for [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text].

Carrying out theme education practice is an important measure of Ideological and political work. The goal and content of theme education activities are generally overlapped with other activities, which makes the school unable to bear the burden of carrying out multiple activities at the same time, thus affecting the actual effect of theme education practice activities. In this paper, by improving the method of theme education, and with a positive attitude and innovative spirit to continue to innovate the working mode of theme education practice, the way of using new media technology in the process of theme education is analyzed, and its characteristics and laws are analyzed, so as to improve the effective working path of theme education.

Abstract Following the public thoughts on the recent 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is an important measure to ensure compliance with preventive behaviors. Here, we analyzed public conspiracy thoughts related to COVID-19 pandemic on official Facebook governmental COVID-19 announcements. A total of 343 comments analyzed for posts at the beginning and at the peak of COVID-19 pandemic in Jordan. We found a significant increase in conspiracy related comments in later posts at the peak of pandemic compared with earlier ones. Despite its small sample size, our present analysis provides an important measure for public conspiracy related thoughts on the current COVID-19 pandemic in Jordan.

Abstract Estimating the extent of genetic differentiation between populations is an important measure in population genetics, ecology and evolutionary biology. Fixation index or FST is an important measure, which is routinely used to quantify this. Previous studies have shown that FST estimated for selectively constrained regions was significantly lower than that estimated for neutral regions. By deriving the theoretical relationship between FST at neutral and constrained sites we show that an excess in the fraction of deleterious variations segregating within populations compared to that segregates between populations is the cause for the reduction in FST estimated at constrained sites. Using whole genome data, our results revealed that the magnitude of reduction in FST estimates obtained for selectively constrained regions was much higher for distantly related populations compared to those estimated for closely related pairs. For example, the reduction was 47% for comparison between Europeans-Africans, 30% for European-Asian comparison, 16% for the Northern-Southern European pair and only 4% for the comparison involving two Southern European (Italian and Spanish) populations. Since deleterious variants are purged over time due to purifying selection, their contribution to the among-population diversity at constrained sites decreases with the increase in the divergence between populations. However, within-population diversity remains the same for all pairs compared and therefore FST estimated at constrained sites for distantly related populations are much smaller than those estimated for closely related populations. Our results suggest that the level of population divergence should be considered when comparing constrained site FST estimates from different pairs of populations.
