As an important member of the Klebsiella pneumoniae complex, Klebsiella variicola is poorly studied as an emerging human pathogen. We, for the first time, report a unique K. variicola isolated from a pediatric patient in China.

Building on recent advances in the field of Neo- and Late Babylonian medicine, this paper presents the edition and thorough analysis of two unpublished medical tablets from the collections of the British Museum (BM 30918 and BM 31071). In the first part, the archival and social context of these tablets will be explored, while also reporting on findings about how they might fit into the larger corpus of Late Babylonian medical texts. The two tablets are published in the second part of the paper. The aim of this paper is to illustrate that the discussed tablets contribute a lot to our understanding of how medicine as a scientific field worked in the latter half of the first millennium B.C.E. It advances further and draws up more comprehensively the thesis about the “personalisation” of medical knowledge, put forward only recently in the scholarly literature. In addition, it also collects evidence that ties Itti-Marduk-balāṭu, an important member of the Egibi family, to the craft of incantation priests (āšipūtu); this person has so far been known mostly for his activity as a businessman.

While designing any structural building, the only distress of the designer is the stability of the building and its performance under internal and external forces & Loads. These forces & loads mostly comprise of dead load of the structure, superimposed load, snow load, or some other loads due earthquake, wind etc. Increase in height more force will be generated in taller building. So, for repelling developed forces, high strength members of the structure are required. Column, being the vertical member, is the most important member in a structure as it transfers the whole loads & forces from all the other structural members to the foundations. Its shape, cross-section and the area of reinforcement will change with the total load acting on the structure. Shape & Size of column can change for any structure according to its purpose. In the present study various models were analyzed considering individual and combinations of various geometric and from results various conclusions were draft.

Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) is an important member of the TLR family, which is an important group of pathogen-associated molecular patterns. TLR3 can recognize double-stranded RNA and induce activation of NF-κB and the production of type I interferons. In addition to its immune-associated role, TLR3 has also been detected in some tumors. However TLR3 can play protumor or antitumor roles in different tumors or cell lines. Here, we review the basic signaling associated with TLR3 and the pro- or antitumor roles of TLR3 in different types of tumors and discuss the possible reasons for the opposing roles of TLR3 in tumors.

Neoantigen, as an important member of tumor-specific antigens, has attracted a great deal of attention as a target for immunotherapy. Neoantigens are potential targets for personalized vaccines and adoptive cell transfer therapies. However, most of the neoantigen-targeted immunotherapies in the process are customized and costly. So, we are inclined to find shared neoantigens suitable for more patients. With the help of existing neoantigen prediction algorithms, we found that the most frequent shared neoantigens occurred in more than 1% of patients for 17 tumor types and the ten most frequent shared neoantigens covered approximately 50% of pancreatic cancer patients, providing a potential list of targets for off-the-shelf immunotherapy.

Old Irish is a notoriously difficult language, and the chapter begins with an account of why this is so, exploring the features such as consonant mutations, palatalization, the absolute and conjunct inflections of verbs, conjugated prepositions, verb-initial sentences, and infixed pronouns that make it so distinct from the other languages considered so far. But even so, it is still of Indo-European stock, and a couple of selections from the Táin Bó Cuailnge reveal some of this shared ancestry. The chapter also offers an extended comparison with Welsh, another important member of the Celtic branch, highlighting, with an excerpt from the Mabinogion, the Celtic features common to it and Irish, as well as the points of difference between the two.

This short paper highlights the importance and relevance of studying Chinese public administration. As China becomes an increasingly important member in the global village, more attention should be paid to the study of Chinese public administration. On the one hand, many studies will continually focus on studying Chinese public administration itself, and on the other hand comparative study between China and other countries will likely flourish as well.
