The symmetry of molecular structures is captured by topological indices, which provide a mathematical vocabulary for predicting features such as boiling temperatures, viscosity, and gyration radius and are also employed in QSPR/QSAR research. Dendrimers are a brand-new type of polymer. It is characterized as a macromolecule due to its highly radiated structure, providing great water solubility and adaptability. Because of these features, dendrimers are a strong alternative for medication delivery. This article investigates some topological indices based on neighborhood degrees such as Modified Randic index, Inverse Sum Index, SK, SK1, and SK2 index for some dendrimers.

This study aims to analyze students' strategies in translating English-Indonesian mathematics texts. The study was conducted on students of the Mathematics Education study program in the English for Teaching Mathematics course. The research method is a qualitative descriptive method with data analysis units of text translation as many as 31 students. The translation strategy uses 2 stages, namely the comprehension strategies, referring to the analysis of the source text, and the production strategies, referring to the production of the translated text. The results of the study reveal that in general students have been able to carry out comprehension strategies well as evidenced by their good understanding of mathematics and mathematics learning vocabulary, while the production strategy stage is still lacking, i.e the results of the production of a full sentence translation text in paragraph form involving mathematical vocabulary still too 'stiff'. The conclusion of this study is that the factors of experience and student habituation in reading mathematics texts in English have an effect on the ability in understanding strategies and production strategies.

The questions of pre-university training of foreign students on the example of training at the Yaroslavl State Agricultural Academy have been considered. A comparative analysis of the levels of mathematical training in national African schools, schools (universities) of the Middle East and Russian schools has been carried out. Based on the teaching experience the author revealed a number of problems for foreign residents come to Russia to study at the preparatory department of the university: poor knowledge of the Russian language in general and the mathematical Russian language in particular, lack of knowledge of mathematical vocabulary and terminology, differences in the levels of basic mathematical training among students from different countries, adaptation difficulties. At the same time a survey of foreign students allows us to conclude that the study of mathematics causes them less difficulty than the study of other special subjects (physics, chemistry, biology). An analysis of the level of mathematical training of foreign students studying at the preparatory department of the academy showed that it was quite high above average.

This study aimed to describe students' ability to comprehend the meaning of mathematical vocabulary in one Madrasah in North Sumatera. This research was a qualitative research, with a phenomenology approach. The participants of this research were the seventh-grade students of one Islamic Junior High School (Madrasah) who had high, medium and low ability. The data were collected by using observation, interview and documentation, and were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman models. The results of this study showed that students who had high ability could master three indicators of the ability to understand vocabulary in mathematics; interpreting, summarizing, and explaining. For students who had moderate abilities, they only mastered two indicators of the ability to understand mathematical vocabulary; interpreting and summarizing. For students who had low ability, they only mastered one indicator; interpreting or in other words interpreting vocabulary used in mathematics in their own words.

Difficulties faced in learning a specific mathematical vocabulary are amplified through incomplete English knowledge among students who English Language Learners (ELLs). Therefore, the present study aims to investigate the relationship between English language anxiety and the mathematical achievement of EFL/ESL students who are using EMI. Mixed research method was employed to identify and understand this relationship between language anxiety and mathematics achievement in the math classroom. To collect quantitative data, a questionnaire was distributed to the students to measure their level of English language anxiety and mathematics achievement using their grades in their mathematics classes. The association between English language anxiety levels and ESL/EFL achievement in Mathematics was investigated through Pearson’s correlation test. The results showed medium levels English language anxiety among the EFL/ESL students with a mean of (2.15) and a standard deviation of (0.73). The results indicated no statistical difference in means of English language anxiety that can be attributed to the program type or graduation year (α≤ 0.05). The study concluded that English language anxiety was neutral as majority of students become nervous, when the teacher asks them unexpected questions.
