This paper’s aim is to describe the results of the phase transformation of BCuAl9Fe4 alloy after casting, quenching and aging. After casting, the microstructure of this alloy consists of [Formula: see text] phase with grain size about 100 [Formula: see text]m, mixture [Formula: see text] and the inter-metallic phase Fe3Al. However, the proportion of the [Formula: see text] phase in the casting alloy is coarse. The alloy was heated at [Formula: see text]C for 2 h then quickly cooling in water. After quenching, the microstructure of alloy shows that the grain size reduced to about 40 [Formula: see text]m. After quenching, the alloy was aged at [Formula: see text]C for 2 h, the martensite phase of this alloy decomposed into order phase ([Formula: see text] with fine grain size, dispersed in the matrix. The intermetallic phase was fine and evenly dispersed in the matrix. By TEM analysis, after heat treatment, the structure of martensite and the inter-metallic phase in this alloy which had small grain size were formed.

The usefulness of the addition of fermented herbs (katuk/Sauropus androgynusplus bay leaves) onfat accumulation, and chemical, amino acids and fatty acids composition ofbroiler meats was investigated. At 15 days of age, 280female broilers were divided into seven treatments, as follows:T0) the control;T1) broilers were given a ration with 2.5% fermented katuk plus bay leaf mixture formula 1;T2) broilerswere givena ration with 2.5% fermented katuk plus bay leaf mixture formula 2;T3) broilerswere givena ration with2.5% fermented katuk plus bay leaf mixture formula 3;T4) broilers were given a rationswith 5% fermented katuk plus bay leaf mixture formula 1;T5) broilers were givena ration with 5% fermented katuk plus bay leaf mixture formula 2;T6) broilers were givena ration with 5%  fermented katuk plus bay leaf mixture formula 3. The results of this study showed that the administration of fermented herbs to the ration significantly reduced abdominal fat, gizzard fat, total fat deposition, meat fat, and cholesterol contents. Their inclusions changed calcium, iron, moisture, serine, threonine, arginine, valine, lysine, methionine, myristic acid, pentadecanoic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid, linolenic acid, cis-11,14-eicosadienoic acid, cis-5,8,11,14,17-eicosapentaenoic acid, and n-3 unsaturated fatty acids of female broiler meats. It can be concluded that administration of fermented herbs formula 2 at5% levels producedchicken meat with lowerfat and cholesterol levels, but higher protein, minerals and n-3 unsaturated fatty acidslevels.

The effective modulus of elasticity of a layered composite is one of the important characteristics. At the moment, the so-called mixture formula is most often used to calculate this characteristic. However, as a number of experiments demonstrate, the formula of the mixture does not always allow calculating the effective modulus of elasticity. The reason for this fact is the inhomogeneous stress-strain state arising in a layered composite. This article presents a method for finding the effective modulus of elasticity of a layered composite based on the contact layer model. Such approach to the calculation allows us to take into account not only the volume content of the composite components, but also many other parameters of the model.

The dependence of the potential energy [Formula: see text] of Sb atoms on [Formula: see text] symmetry normal coordinates for [Formula: see text] crystal in ferroelectric phase with a varying mixture [Formula: see text] is investigated in the current paper. The potential energy of Sb atoms is characterized by a high anharmonicity within the temperature range 295–377 K. The large anharmonicity of the potential energy [Formula: see text] implies that [Formula: see text] crystals exhibit intermediate behavior between displacement and order–disorder type phase transitions. The phase transition temperature [Formula: see text] depends on the mixture composition [Formula: see text].

Four kinds of fiber reinforced asphalt mixture formula are made, i.e., non fiber, polyester fiber, polyacrylonitrile fiber and the compound of the last two fibers, and then the Residual Marshall Stability (RMS) tests and Residual Cleavage Strength (RCS) tests are carried out. It is found that with the adding of fiber, the RMS is raised from 88% to 92% and the RCS from 86% to 88%. In the view of water-relating stability enhancement, the compound fiber is the best, the polyacrylonitrile fiber is the second, and the polyester fiber is at last, however, it is still better than plain asphalt mixture. More compaction work should be done on fiber reinforced asphalt mixture in practical engineering.
