This study investigates how employee gatekeepers decode cultural signals applicants send out during job selection procedures. By focusing on declarative and non-declarative cultural signals such as leisure activities and presentation style, this article examines how recruiters and hiring managers do their gatekeeping recognition work. This is done by in-depth interviewing of 40 HR managers and recruiters, from the cultural and corporate sector in the Netherlands, using a video-elicitation method. The interviews revealed (1) the importance of a fun-factor, (2) that leisure activities not only serve as status markers or indicators for competence but enter as important interactional tools, (3) that gatekeepers look for authentic self-presentation but that this varies between fields and the perceived gender of the candidate. In addition, the comparative design uncovered significant sector variations. Corporate gatekeepers are characterized by the way they decoded sport activities as a signal for a work mentality, valued self-presentation in terms of representativeness and repeatedly relied on competence as an evaluative principle. Cultural gatekeepers, on the other hand, used leisure activities more often as way of cultural matching and were more drawn to a fun-factor while displaying a clear disdain for formal presentation styles.

In defining “the global archive,” this essay refers, first of all, to the historical development of exhibitions in Germany that address a global horizon, a distinct cultural project since at least the Enlightenment. After 1945, modern art, which had been removed from public view by the Nazi state, was reintroduced as a project of reeducation as much as aesthetics. Documenta, beginning in 1955, exhibited modern and later artists in the destroyed buildings of the city of Kassel, and expanded its formal and cultural address to a global scale over its fifty-year history. Documenta itself became a kind of continuous archive of its own exhibition history, a mode of formal presentation that increasingly relied on the works it presented. Here I read in detail the archival strategies and form of dOCUMENTA 13, arguably a highpoint of this effort to archive globality as it emerges. Theorists from Michel Foucault, Fredric Jameson, and Arjun Appadurai to the “critical regionalism” of Cheryl Herr and the “negative globality” of Alberto Moreiras assist in the project of comprehending the “archive as form,” seen in a series of artists working on a global scale.

This paper will explore briefly what research tells us about library design and, more specifically, the design of reading spaces for the provision of pleasure reading in school libraries. Acoustics, lighting and temperature levels, amongst other factors, all have an impact upon the learning experience that takes place in any school space. How we approach the creation of library reading spaces will be discussed with a particular focus on student views and opinions. Furniture, layout, colour, display and ambience will all be considered in light of how they affect comfort and learning opportunities. A number of illustrative examples of school library reading spaces and the views of students will be shared with the audience during the formal presentation.

Psalm 104 is a majestic hymn to creation, a dynamic corollary to the more formal presentation of the creation of the world in Genesis 1. Reflection upon some of the passages provides us with insight into the biblical author’s appreciation for nature, an attitude that needs to inspire us in this age of ecological crisis. Though the biblical text is unaware of such an ecological crisis; nonetheless, passages shine forth that can speak to us in our modern age of global warming and environmental collapse.

The article explores the informal side of the idea of the proof. The word "idea" is used in a sense dating back to Plato. Proof is understood as a precisely established connection of precisely formulated and objectively existing ideas. This connection of ideas belongs to the realm of the possible and can be present in some possible worlds and absent in others. Attempts to interpret the proof as a procedure of convincing argumentation are criticized. It is shown that the proof is not necessarily convincing, and that persuasiveness may be inherent outside the proof-based forms of argument. The genesis of the idea of the proof is briefly traced from its origins to the present day. Arguments are made in favor of the thesis of the idea of the proof in Pythagorean philosophy. The question of why the idea of the proof has not been rediscovered anywhere and never is discussed. The problem of the time gap between the appearance of the proof and the exact definition of the concept of the proof in modern logic is considered. An accessible example substantiates the inseparability of the idea of the proof from its formal presentation in one or another logic. A list of some basic informal predicates of the proof is given and a brief description is given.

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to describe Arabic literacy through modern ngalogat in the Islamic thaqafah book. Methodology: The research method used is descriptive analysis. To obtain accurate analysis results, this study was conducted in three steps. First, the method of providing data descriptively is carried out by the converse method. The data was taken from a sample of 106 students studying Islamic thaqafah from a population of 300 people in pesantren and colleges in West Java. Second, the analysis used an eclectic approach to the analysis of the content-semiotic language-culture. Third, the presentation of the results of the analysis is conducted in two ways, namely formal and informal. The formal presentation method is in the formulation of rules through signs and symbols, while the informal presentation method is in the form of an ordinary explanation. Main Findings: The results of this study are the form of three descriptions and explanations of Arabic literacy and Islamic values in modern civilization. First, it describes and provides solutions to learner's anxiety when reading Arabic texts. Second, describe and provide solutions to cognitive problems in Arabic grammar. Third, describe the importance of Islamic values in a variety of modern literacy. Implications/Applications: The implications of Islamic tsaqafah literacy are as follows: a) The area of aqidah Islam-tauhid that is practiced in a good and correct way will help to find the direction and meaning of happiness in the world and the hereafter (akhirah). b) The area of fiqihmu’amalah that is properly practiced will help to fasten the increasing of human life prosperity. c) The area of syirkahsyar’iyyah’s (business cooperation) function is to increase the economic distribution for society. Novelty/Originality of this study: Based on the findings of modern literacy on students, the awareness of technology literacy is quite high between 63% and 72%. However, the literacy awareness of information and statistic is still average. This allows too much information in the mass media (internet, WA, Twitter, etc.) that need to be filtered by Islamic tsaqafah. This study has highlighted the literacy difficulties of Islamic thaqafah books through the anxiety scale of reading Arabic texts and also proposed solutions to reading difficulties through ngalogat modernization.

The paper presents a cloud service for the formation of case records, the feature of which is a formal presentation of all entered patient data. A formal presentation of the case record is necessary for further processing of patient data by intelligent decision support services, as well as for obtaining new knowledge about the diagnosis and treatment of patients based on machine learning methods. The service is implemented on the medical portal of the IACPaaS cloud platform. The basic principles of development, architecture and software interface are presented. The technology of using the service is described.

The article proposes an information technology for the development of a knowledge base for the automated solution of problems in the planning and organization of an air strike against enemy targets, using fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic. A formal presentation of information technology was performed using the IDEF0 functional modeling methodology. The use of a single hardware and software platform in the form of a set of standard platforms and unique architectural layers corresponding to the studied subject area will provide full control over the fuzzy neural network and achieve their benefits through the use of training and will increase the efficiency and validity of decision making. In the process of assessing the situation and making a decision, the commander seeks to present (predict) the dynamics of the future battle. This is necessary in order to develop an optimal plan of action, a reasonable allocation of forces and resources, as well as to determine measures for the rational implementation of the combat mission. The difficulties associated with planning the actions of aviation units for various tactical purposes are most evident in the operations of inflicting damage on enemy ground targets. The task of defeating which is one of the main for strike aircraft. The ground target is an extremely complex and multifunctional dynamic system that combines objects that solve various functional tasks. Planning of actions of aviation forces and means when striking ground targets requires the development of an optimal (in terms of the accepted criterion of optimality) scenario of their application, which provides for spatial and temporal coordination of aircraft from the aviation group. The most complete such coordination can be ensured through the use of a set of models that most adequately describe the space-time state of all aircraft, conditions and results of the use of aircraft.
