Cognitive development is a change processes of human life in understanding, managing information, solving problems and knowing something. Jean Piaget is one of a figures studied cognitive development and said about cognitive development steps. Jean Piaget is also a biologist who links the physical maturity development with cognitive development steps. These steps are the motoric sensory step (0–2 years), pre-operational (2-7 years), concrete operations (7–11 years) and formal operations (11–15 years). In understanding the world actively, a child uses a scheme, assimilation, accommodation, organization and equilibration. A child's knowledge formed gradually in line with the information experience found. According to Piaget, children undergo a definite sequence of cognitive development steps. In this theory, children predicted to have maturity quantity and quality based on the steps passed. a step of cognitive development is a continuation of previous cognitive development. Cognitive problems arise in elementary school children viewed from Piaget's cognitive development theory including dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia.

Traditional arts and professions are the carriers of our culture because they carry historical background. For this reason, traditional arts and professions and cultural heritage are easily transferred to future generations. While knife was a tool that facilitated human life in the early periods, it turned into an art in time. The art of knife and the techniques and methods used in this art have been used for many years in history. Today, there are many artists who want to prevent the art of knife from turning into a craft. They intend to take this art to an even more advanced level. In this study, we interviewed three artists as samples who dealt with knifemaking by addressing the art of knife in Düzce. Interviews and works with the artists are visualized in this work. Thus, what has been done about the art of knife in Düzce, which methods and techniques are applied have been revealed. Along with the previous methods applied to this art, traditional Turkish arts such as marbling, illumination and miniature were used as a surface decoration technique in the art of knife which is a branch of Turkish metal arts. The aim of the study is to show the path that knife art has taken from its historical background to the present day and to show the feasibility of new methods in this field and thus to indicate that knife art is open to development. It is believed that this work, in which interviews and images obtained are evaluated using a descriptive analysis, will contribute to literature related to traditional art and the art of knife. Keywords: Knife art, jewelry, metal art, cultural heritage, traditional art

Environment is everything around the human being and influences the development of human life. Environmental problems have to be solved by all parties, including parents. Environmental responsibility behavior comes from an awareness of the problems that occurred. This awareness can solve the problems. The responsibility behavior of parents is the result of the interaction of various factors, one of them is a personality factor. This study aimed to recognize the correlation between personality and environmental responsibility behavior of parents. This research was conducted in SMP (Junior High School) Labschool Jakarta, SMP Labschool Kebayoran, and SMP Labschool Cibubur in the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The population of the study was all parents whose children study at the mentioned Lab schools. The method used was a survey method through correlational studies. The correlation coefficient obtained was 0.961. It could be interpreted that the determination coefficient was 92.4 %. Based on the result, it could be concluded that the personality variable contributed to the parents’ environmental responsibility behavior (92.4 %) while 7.6 % was determined by other factors. The very high correlation could have an impact on a child's parenting. Parents who have a high personality will educate their children to have a high personality and environmental responsibility as well. Learning models in schools that are appropriate and contain strong Islamic values will be able to strengthen the personality of a child that has been formed by his parents at home.

The present article has two objectives. One is to elucidate the philosophical approach presented in the so-called Strahov Systematic Manuscripts of Jan Patočka in terms of consciousness and nature. The other is to compare this philosophical approach with Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s theses on nature, as elaborated in 1956–1961, and to point out some advantages and limitations of both approaches. In our opinion, Patočka’s philosophical approach consists, on the one hand, in a descriptive analysis of human experience, which he understands as a pre-reflective self-relationship pointing towards the consciousness of the world. On the other hand, on the basis of this descriptive analysis Patočka consequently explicates all non-human life, inorganic matter, and finally the whole of nature as life in its own right, the essence of which is also a certain self-relation with a tendency towards consciousness. The article then briefly presents Merleau-Ponty’s theses on nature, and finally compares them with Patočka’s overall theses on nature. The advantage of Patočka’s notion of nature as against Merleau-Ponty’s is that, in Patočka’s view, nature encompasses both the principle of unity and individuality. On the other hand, the advantage of Merleau-Ponty’s understanding of nature as against Patočka’s lies in the consistent interconnectedness of the infinite life of nature and the finite life of individual beings.

This study explores the motivations and institutional barriers of local agripreneurs who are involved in different branches of agriculture in Brunei. Descriptive analysis and thematic analysis were performed to analyse the data. The agripreneurs in the study consider their venture into agriculture as an act of symbolic nationalistic support whereby they envision Brunei to be a nation less reliant on food imports, in line with the country's vision or better known as Wawasan 2035. In addition, their motivation is also based on Islamic values with the intention of seeking lawful earning and a path to a blessed monetary and hereafter rewards. The main problems faced by the agripreneurs are lack of access to finance, lack of infrastructure and technology, and lack of exposure. The research on local agripreneurs in the context of Brunei is scarce, thus this chapter provides a better understanding of their motivations and constraints for Brunei to realize the potential of the agriculture sector as an important driver of the economy and thus develop the sector further.

Islam is a universal civilization, a religion of equity not destruction. Islam encourages its followers to believe in their own abilities and not depend on what other people give while prioritizing what is beneficial for them. Islamic civilization will develop if it is able to communicate with the local culture in a selective manner and still adheres to Aswaja (Ahlus sunnah Wal Jamaah) values. If Islam blindly followed the developing culture in the society, both the local and foreign cultures, Islam would lose its identity and the Muslim community would be separated from its cultural roots. The values of Islamic civilization are: Rabbiyah value (the divine values), Insâniyah value (the human value). Wâqi'iyah value (the practical value), Wasathiyah value (the Islamic moderatation value), Tawâzun value (the equilibration value), Tsabât value (the fixity value) and Murûnah value (the flexibility value). The nobleness of Islamic values should not only be a theory, but also needs to be implemented. The deeper the implementation, the more sublime the civilization will be. Human life must be based on the belief that we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.
