In this work, different cationic surfactants with various aliphatic and aromatic ammonium cations were used to prepare inhibitor coatings and were characterized by different techniques such as IR spectroscopy and NMR. The inhibitor coatings were prepared by electrografting on the steel surface and their anticorrosion properties were evaluated in different media (HCl, H2SO4 and NaCl solutions). The electrochemical potentiodynamic polarization technique was used to study the inhibition efficiency of the prepared coatings. The dependence of the wetting properties of the electrografted layer and its homogeneity on the molecular structure of the prepared surfactants was studied. Particular attention was paid to the relationship between the properties of these surfactants in terms of critical micellar concentration, packing and wetting, and the anti-corrosion efficiency of their coatings. In this paper, we discuss the synergistic inhibition effect and the anticorrosion efficiency.

In this study, we focus on the 3D surface measurement and reconstruction of translucent objects. The proposed approach of surface-shape determination of translucent objects is based on the combination of the projected laser-beam-based sinusoidal structured light and the polarization technique. The theoretical analyses are rigorously completed in this work, including the formation, propagation, and physical features of the generated sinusoidal signal by the designed optical system, the reflection and transmission of the projected monochromatic fringe pattern on the surface of the translucent object, and the formation and the separation of the direct-reflection and the global components of the surface radiance of the observed object. The results of experimental investigation designed in accordance with our theoretical analyses have confirmed that accurate reconstructions can be obtained using the one-shot measurement based on the proposed approach of this study and Fourier transform profilometry, while the monochromaticity and the linearly-polarized characteristic of the projected sinusoidal signal can be utilized by using a polarizer and an optical filter simultaneously for removing the global component, i.e., the noised signal contributed by multiply-scattered photons and the background illuminance in the frame of our approach. Moreover, this study has also revealed that the developed method is capable of getting accurate measurements and reconstructions of translucent objects when the background illumination exists, which has been considered as a challenging issue for 3D surface measurement and reconstruction of translucent objects.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to see if Cymbopogon schoenanthus aerial extract (CSA extract) could reduce the corrosion of aluminum brass in acid cleaning solutions in the distillation plant. For this assessment, measurements of weight loss and polarization technique have all been used. We discovered that at 250 ppm, the efficiency of CSA extract was excellent (97%). Polarization assessments confirmed that the organic compounds in CSA extract were effective mixed-type corrosion inhibitors. HPLC and FTIR analysis were used to explore the key chemical components of CSA extract. CSA extract caused the corrosion process to have a higher energy barrier. Observations of SEM and FT-IR spectra confirmed that CSA extract prevents corrosion attacks at the aluminum brass’s surface.

Natural inhibitors are the most crucial manner to lessen the corrosion price of various business metals. There are several strategies being used with corrosion inhibitors. One technique being used is the Electrochemical strategies. The gain with this technique is their brief size time and mechanistic information. It is beneficial in the corrosion's layout safety techniques besides the layout of the brand new inhibitors, there are 3 styles of corrosion inhibitors as anodic inhibitors, cathodic inhibitors, over one inhibitor. The corrosion inhibition of slight metallic in 1.0 M HCl solution with the aid of using Jordanian -Bay- leaves extract has been studied with the use of potentiodynamic polarization technique. Results received a display that Bay- leaves aqueous extract behaves as an anodic inhibitor for slight metallic in 1.0 M HCl solution. The inhibitor capabilities thru adsorption following Temkin adsorption isotherm. The impact of parameters like temperature and inhibitor awareness at the corrosion of slight metallic has additionally been studied.
