Abstract Zoonoses are diseases or infections naturally transmissible from vertebrate animals to humans, and can be bacterial, viral or parasitic. The growth of urbanization, industrialization and the advance of agriculture and livestock facilitate the spread of infectious and parasitic agents from wild animals to the human population and to their domestic animals. Among the various reservoirs of zoonotic agents, we find that didelphid species, due to their high capacity for adaptation in urban environments, as an important study case. We reviewed the literature data on the pathogens, including with zoonotic potential of marsupial species occurring in Brazil, accounted for infections by agents that we categorized into Bacteria, Viruses, Protozoa, and Helminths. Aiming identifies possible knowledge gaps, we also surveyed the origin of studied samples and the institutions leading the researches on host didelphids. Among the hosts, the genus Didelphis in the cycles of these agents stands out. Moreover, we found that the majority of reported cases are in the Southeastern Brazil, mean the data from other Brazilian localities and didelphid species could be underestimated. Most studies took place in graduate programs of public research institutions, emphasizing the importance of the funding public research for the Brazilian scientific development.

This study aims to recommend decision making related to the use of debt in corporate financing. This study took data from PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk. In addition to developing, the company also plays a role in providing modern residential facilities. This study focuses on the financing structure between debt and equity. The results of the study become an important study to see the company's performance through the LTDER ratio with the use of 2017-2019 data. The results of the study found that there was a large percentage of debt financing carried out by companies from 2017 to 2019. This condition indicates that debt financing makes a greater contribution than own capital to funding and business growth.    Keywords: Financing, Long-Term Debt, Equity

River science and engineering has been one of the important study areas for geologists, hydrologists and engineers. The open channel flow and associated hydraulics often initiate several geomechanical hazards including silting and scouring, meandering and migration, floods, etc. Such hazards may lead to disastrous consequences if adequate remedial measures are not undertaken by proper river training works. This paper presents selected case studies in northern and north-eastern parts of India where such hazards occurred due to migration of river channel and flooding of adjacent lands. The two study areas have been the Kosi and the Brahmaputra river basins. In the former study area, hazards took place due to eastward migration, whereas in the latter case, significant damages occurred due to scouring and erosion. The descriptions of the hazards occurred, and the mitigation techniques adopted have been briefly summarized in this paper. A critical analysis with prediction techniques for flood occurrence probability and erosion potential has been conducted as well. The relevant conclusions are drawn therefrom.

AbstractThe decolonial theory understands that Western Modernity keeps imposing itself through a triple mutually reinforcing and shaping imprisonment: coloniality of power, coloniality of knowledge, and coloniality of being. Technical design has an essential role in either maintaining or overcoming coloniality. In this article, two main approaches to decolonizing the technical design are presented. First is Yuk Hui’s and Ahmed Ansari’s proposals that, revisiting or recovering the different histories and philosophies of technology produced by humankind, intend to decolonize the minds of philosophers and engineers/architects/designers as a pre-condition for such decolonial designs to take place. I call them top-down approaches. Second is some technical design initiatives that, being developed alongside marginalized/subalternate people, intend to co-construct decolonial sociotechnical solutions through a committed, decolonizing, and careful dialog of knowledge. I call them bottom-up approaches. Once that is done, the article’s second half derives ontological, epistemological, and political consequences from the conjugation of top-down and bottom-up approaches. Such consequences challenge some established or not yet entirely overcome understandings in the philosophy of technology (PT) and, in so doing, are meant to represent some steps in PT’s decolonization. Even though both top-down and bottom-up approaches are considered, the article’s main contributions are associated with (bottom-up) decolonial technical design practices, whose methodologies and outcomes are important study cases for PT and whose practitioners (i.e., decolonial designers) can be taken as inspiring examples for philosophers who want to decolonize/enlarge PT or make it decolonial (that is, a way of fostering decoloniality).

This study explores one of the most active and productive educational methods; hence, this stylistic phenomenon has its importance in embellishing discourse and speech with respect to diverse opinions. Nowadays, societies love discussions and debating especially Middle-East ones. A simple discussion may lead to a different topic and escalates into a hot debate that may be accompanied by verbal and physical conflicts rather than tolerance and the spirit of acceptance. Active dialogues and politeness in selecting words are evidences of the nations’ awareness, as they are considered to be the effective methods of dialogues and the advancement of society. This paper is divided into an introduction, definitions of terms and three sections. Firstly, the dialogues in Surah Maryam. Secondly, the etiquettes of rhetoric and talks in Surah Maryam. Thirdly, the applied educational milestone from the methods of dialogue and their etiquettes in the Surah. The importance of this research shows the fact that the dialogue styles and their etiquettes are the most important pillars in the process of people’s communication, and the convergence of views among opponents and disputants. The dialogue and its etiquettes provide the most appropriate conditions for conflict resolution, compromise and consensus which reflect positive influence on human relationships among community individuals. The main objective of the study is to highlight the ways to strengthen brotherhood and human cooperation. This method and its etiquettes can be also used to renounce clash and conflicts among people and community; besides, it can be a good attempt to replace those negative points with taking the best of opinions through spreading the causes of harmony, love, goodness and peace. The most important study results are: adhering the rules of a proper dialogue to change of many nowadays conflicts into a peaceful dialogue, happiness, reduce rivalry or quarrels, and removing many obstacles in front of the people and community.

Purpose: Emissary foramens in the skull and emissary veins (EV), respectively, have been known for a long time, but their importance is often disregarded. In the present study, we introduce variants of occipital emissary foramens (OEF) unilaterally located on the left, close to оccipital condylе in a formation of three apertures that open together in a sinus near clivus. Material/Methods: Corpses of 30 dеad people were dissected in the Department of Anatomy, and standard techniques for soft tissue separation or maceration of the skull were used. After the removal of the calvaria, fixed bones of the skull were disarticulated. Foramens were cleaned using a double-ended probe, and depth and diameter measurements were performed using an atomical caliper. Results: We found variants of mastoid emissary foramens (MEF) situated into two groups, each of a couple of foramens. Their clinical significance is discussed, compared with existing experience and analysis of their phylogeny and embryogenesis. Conclusion: We introduce OEF and MEF to be important markers for detection of dural venous sinuses (DVS). The latter, together with EV, provide an important mechanism for decreasing intracranial pressure. This happens due to the absence of a valve apparatus in the veins of the brain, and the lack, or small amount, of muscle tissue. There is a possibility of existing varicose veins, such as those caused by arterio-venous fistulas and the pathology associated with it. We suggest the application of EV in imaging as an important study before surgery by lateral and transcondylar approach to the anterior foramen magnum.

After the U.S. dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan in 1945, both nations experienced a profound need for a new and encompassing story of what it meant to be Japanese, and to be American, in the permanent nuclear age. This article is a thought experiment to juxtapose the writings and personas of two people who helped their respective societies answer those needs and questions during the early Cold War: Takashi Nagai—medical radiologist, and survivor of the American atomic bombing of Nagasaki, and Albert Wohlstetter—leading American civilian nuclear strategist for the RAND Corporation in the 1950s. Using a combination of mythopeic analysis, biography and illuminative juxtaposition, the study discovers surprising similarities and analogies between the two cases. They each enact and propose interesting variations of sacrificial causalities—claims that human nuclear sacrifices past or promised can bring peace by deterrence now or peace by abolition soon enough. This is an important study now, as both Japan’s nuclear pacifism and the American nuclear umbrella in Northeast Asia are coming under more severe questioning than perhaps ever before.

In vehicle battery mounting systems are very important due to different aspects and performance. At the start of improvement, the construction of the battery holder should be promptly checked and accurately analyzed, without sufficient authorization from the vehicle. The battery mounting bracket has been designed as a frame to support the battery. Battery carrier vibration and fatigue has always been a concern that can lead to tray failure if the design is wrong, due to vehicle vibration and stress, the mounting tray will be damaged. This is an important study that requires extensive investigation to understand the structural features and its dynamic behavior. This research presents a Finite Element (FE) analysis of a typical battery mounting tray of a car will be performed and the natural frequency will be determined.
