The emotions and affective factors of teachers play quintessential roles in academic contexts as they influence almost all aspects of their profession. T provide a theoretical review of some psychology constructs of teachers in this area, this study examines the psychological wellbeing, mindfulness, and immunity of teachers as three novel variables. More specifically, this study presents the definitions, dimensions, theories, and frameworks related to this domain drawing on positive psychology, complexity/dynamic systems theory, self-organization process, reflexive self-consciousness theory, integrative awareness theories, and mindfulness framework. These theoretical underpinnings explain the constructs and the way they function in second language education. Then, to provide evidence and justify the findings and propositions, empirical studies on each of the variables are reviewed. Finally, implications, research gaps, and suggestions for future inquiries are offered to interested researchers.

Abstract This article focuses on the multiple violations of labor rights that on-demand delivery workers are facing in Ecuador—as well as their resistance. By presenting a case study of a recent organizational process to raise awareness of workers’ demands, we bring forward the role of women in platform workers organizations. Our reflections are based on data collected and analyzed from a survey of 148 anonymous delivery workers from three Ecuadorian cities; an in-depth interview; and our involvement in the project “Platform Observatory”. The analysis draws upon theoretical, methodological, and analytical frameworks developed by Feminist Economics. Our findings highlight how a migrant woman sustains la lucha—the fight—in a masculinized sector and her struggles to keep the organization alive. Moreover, we contribute to generating an archive of workers’ demands and their organization process in the country.

ABSTRACT The inventory organization process in the PDVSA Industrial affiliate companies was analyzed, under a descriptive investigation, with a field design, not experimental and transectional. The population was made up of the managers, leaders and supervisors of the PDVSA Industrial subsidiary companies, located in the Cabimas and Lagunillas municipalities of the Eastern Lake Coast. For data collection, the survey was used using a questionnaire, made up of 9 items with a frequency scale. Validity was carried out through expert judgment, and the Cronbach Alpha Coefficient method was used to calculate its reliability, with a result of 0.907. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, based on the arithmetic mean. Overall, a moderate application of the selection of personnel, training and suppliers was verified as activities involved in the inventory organization process.

The effect of daylight on the self-assembly process in cysteine-silver solution (CSS) and hydrogels based on it has been comprehensively studied. It was found that CSS based on L-cysteine and silver acetate under the action of illumination first turns yellow and then brown, which is a consequence of plasmon resonance on the resulting silver nanoparticles in CSS and hydrogels. A model for the formation of silver nanoparticles in a hydrogel is proposed.

Rheological, structural, and antibacterial studies of hydrogels based on L-cysteine, silver acetate, and polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride (PHMG-GC) have been carried out. It was found that aqueous solutions based on L-cysteine and silver acetate mix well with an aqueous solution of PHMG-GC, forming transparent hydrogels. A model of the structure of the spatial grid of the gel is proposed. High antimicrobial activity of the hydrogel was shown in relation to test cultures of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms.

Self-organization processes in an aqueous solution of L-cysteine, silver nitrate, carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), and sodium sulfate were studied using viscometry and UV spectroscopy methods. It was found that an aqueous solution based on L-cysteine and silver nitrate (cysteine-silver solution - CSS) is well compatible with an aqueous solution of CMC, thus forming a transparent hydrogel without introducing an initiator electrolyte. An increase in the concentration of CMC in solution and an additional introduction of an electrolyte (sodium sulfate) led to an increase in the viscosity of the resulting hydrogels.

This survey discusses behavioral and experimental macroeconomics, emphasizing a complex systems perspective. The economy consists of boundedly rational heterogeneous agents who do not fully understand their complex environment and use simple decision heuristics. Central to our survey is the question of under which conditions a complex macro-system of interacting agents may or may not coordinate on the rational equilibrium outcome. A general finding is that under positive expectations feedback (strategic complementarity)—where optimistic (pessimistic) expectations can cause a boom (bust)—coordination failures are quite common. The economy is then rather unstable, and persistent aggregate fluctuations arise strongly amplified by coordination on trend-following behavior leading to (almost-)self-fulfilling equilibria. Heterogeneous expectations and heuristics switching models match this observed micro and macro behavior surprisingly well. We also discuss policy implications of this coordination failure on the perfectly rational aggregate outcome and how policy can help to manage the self-organization process of a complex economic system.
