Fabrication of BaSi2 homojunction diodes on Nb-doped TiO2 coated glass substrates by aluminum-induced crystallization and two-step evaporation method

BaSi2 homojunction diodes on Nb-doped TiO2 (TiO2:Nb) coated glass substrates were fabricated using aluminum-induced crystallization (AIC) and two-step evaporation method. From Raman scattering spectra, the growth of BaSi2 on TiO2:Nb was confirmed when the thickness of poly-Si grown by AIC (AIC-Si) was more than 150 nm. The partial formation of BaSi2 diodes was confirmed from the samples prepared at temperature during AIC TAIC=475-525 oC. The long-wavelength edge of photoresponsivity of the diodes was located around 950 nm, which corresponds to the bandgap of BaSi2 of 1.3 eV, suggesting that this photocurrent is derived from BaSi2 thin films. At TAIC =500 oC, the maximum value of photoresponsivity was obtained. Since the largest grains in AIC-Si were also obtained at TAIC=500 oC, these results suggest that larger grain of AIC-Si leads to the improvement of the quality of BaSi2 thin films themselves and the performance of BaSi2 diodes.

Overview of indicators of information and digital resources of the Federal Tax Service that characterize the small businesses activities

Entrepreneurship is an integral part of the market economy. However, only recently it has been possible to analyse this cluster online. The purpose of the research paper is a qualitative analysis of indicators formed by the Federal Tax Service of Russia to characterize the activities of small and medium-sized businesses. The article presents the results of a review of the indicators of information and digital resources of the Federal Tax Service of Russia that characterize the activities of small businesses: the unified register of small and medium – sized businesses; the unified register of small and medium-sized businesses – recipients of support; the unified state register of taxpayers; the state information register of accounting (financial) reporting; the “Transparent Business” service. It is concluded that the information and statistical databases of the Federal Tax Service of Russia have a significant potential for partial formation of statistical reporting data of small and medium-sized businesses, and are also acceptable for economic and statistical analysis of the activities of both a specific entity and a group of entities.

Preparation of Amylose-Oligo[(R)-3-hydroxybutyrate] Inclusion Complex by Vine-Twining Polymerization

In this study, we attempted to prepare an amylose-oligo[(R)-3-hydroxybutyrate] (ORHB) inclusion complex using a vine-twining polymerization approach. Our previous studies indicated that glucan phosphorylase (GP)-catalyzed enzymatic polymerization in the presence of appropriate hydrophobic guest polymers produces the corresponding amylose–polymer inclusion complexes, a process named vine-twining polymerization. When vine-twining polymerization was conducted in the presence of ORHB under general enzymatic polymerization conditions (45 °C), the enzymatically produced amylose did not undergo complexation with ORHB. However, using a maltotriose primer in the same polymerization system at 70 °C for 48 h to obtain water-soluble amylose, called single amylose, followed by cooling the system over 7 h to 45 °C, successfully induced the formation of the inclusion complex. Furthermore, enzymatic polymerization initiated from a longer primer under the same conditions induced the partial formation of the inclusion complex. The structures of the different products were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, 1H-NMR, and IR measurements. The mechanism of formation of the inclusion complexes discussed in the study is proposed based on the additional experimental results.

Morphological markers with a triploid set of chromosomes by breeding of apple tree at the polyploid level

The results many years of research in the conditions of the Altai low mountains are given the assessment of hybrid apple populations from heterploid crosses according to the characteristics: resistance to scab, degree of culture, growth strength, stem thickness, leaf thickness, leaf index, morphometry of the graft and stipules, ploidy. The correlation was established by the studied indications with the triploid set of chromosomes of hybrids from heteroploidy’s crosses. It is shown that the cytological assessment of karyotypes selected for a complex of morphological features is required in a significantly smaller volume, and varieties of siberian selection are capable for partial formation of germ sacs with a diploid set of chromosomes. Morphological markers for apple tree selection at the polyploid level were determined by identifying seedlings in the juvenile stage with a triploid set of chromosomes inside a hybrid population. The application of morphological markers makes it possible to identify from 14 to 100% of seedlings with a triploid set of chromosomes in dependence on the original tetraploid form.

APPLICATION OF INDOMETHACIN IN MEDICINE AND PHARMACY

Indomethacin, a non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), has been used in different spheres of medicine since the 1960s. It is successfully administered as an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving medication in rheumatoid and other diseases. According to recent research, indomethacin may become a promising drug enhancing endogenous remyelination in patients with multiple sclerosis. Also, indomethacin affects cell proliferation and invasion, thus it is used to manage pancreatic cancer in patients with hyperglycemia. In addition, indomethacin can inhibit protein synthesis in colorectal carcinoma and other types of cancer cells. The article reviews modern indomethacin medications and the different dosage forms on the Russian pharmaceutical market. Indomethacin poor water solubility is one of the reasons for decreasing its biopharmaceutical characteristics. According to the conducted research, a prospective way to improve indomethacin solubility and bioavailability is the Solid Dispersion (SD) method. SDs are bi- or multicomponent systems consisting of the drug and the carrier. They are a highly dispersed solid phase of the drug or molecular-dispersed solid solutions with a partial formation of a variable composition complex and a carrier. The article provides a brief overview on different aspects of obtaining, investigating, and applying indomethacin SDs with various polymers.

Defect-induced magnetism in liquid sodium-exposed stainless steel as studied by Mössbauer and positron annihilation spectroscopic techniques

Detailed Mössbauer studies carried out in liquid sodium (Na)-exposed austenitic stainless steel (SS-316) show that there is a partial formation of ferromagnetically (FM)-ordered ferritic zones in the paramagnetic austenitic matrix. Results of low energy positron beam-based Doppler broadening studies imply the occurrence of vacancy kind of defects in the liquid Na-exposed SS-316. Correlating these results, the partial occurrence of FM-ordered zones in the liquid Na-exposed SS-316 is understood to be due to open volume defects, predominantly that of Ni vacancies occurring at the surface and upto a certain depth of liquid Na-exposed stainless steel. These results are elucidated in terms of hyperfine parameters associated with ferritic zones.
