The reason for the construction of the Ngabean (Yogyakarta)-Palbapang (Bantul)-Sewugalur (Kulon Progo) railway line with a length of 28 km was to accommodate 4 sugar factories along the line. In order to shorten the rail transport line on the Yogyakarta-Sewugalur railway line, 12 small stations were made. But unfortunately, in 1942 this line was closed causing some of these stations to be closed and disappeared. Among the available stations are Winongo Station, Bantul Station, and Palbapang Station. This study aims to look at the characteristics of 18th century Dutch Indonesian architecture in the station building. Knowing the architectural character of the station building can play as a reference for maintaining the conservation of historical buildings in Indonesia. This study employed a rationalistic-qualitative approach. To identify the architectural character of the station building, this study was conducted by looking at the spatial system, architectural system, and structural building system. From the results of the study, it was found that Winongo Station, Bantul Station, and Palbapang Station have a distinctive character both from the spatial system, architectural system, and structural system.

Many shared mobility solutions have been developed over recent decades. In the case of mobile technological innovations, new solutions that are more flexible to user demands have emerged. These dynamic solutions allow users to be served by optimizing different aspects such as the detour to pick up a passenger or the waiting time for users. Such methods make it possible to satisfy requests quickly and to match as closely as possible user expectations. However, these approaches usually use fleets composed of numerous small-capacity vehicles to serve each user. By contrast, microtransit aims to serve a more massive demand than conventional shared mobility methods. Our study falls within this context. It aims to identify recurrent patterns of mobility and to verify the possibility of implementing microtransit lines to serve them. In other words, the proposed method identifies spatial and temporal areas where the implementation of a flexible transport line would meet a potential mobility demand. The recurrence of trips in these specific areas provides a guarantee of the reliability of the designed lines.

The design of a low-energy beam transport line in the helium ions linear accelerator is proposed. For experiments with the low-energy helium ions the vacuum chamber in a transport line is in addition included for an irradiation of investigated materials. The mathematical modeling method investigates coordination variants of an injector beam output emittance with an accelerating structure acceptance with use of electromagnetic quadrupole lenses, electrostatic lenses and the focusing solenoid. It is shown that the optimal variant, ad hoc, is the focusing solenoid application. The calculated value of a current of the helium accelerated ions makes 4.5 mА.

Proton laser-plasma-based acceleration has nowadays achieved a substantial maturity allowing to seek for possible practical applications, as for example Particle Induced X-ray Emission with few MeV protons. Here we report about the design, implementation, and characterization of a few MeV laser-plasma-accelerated proton beamline in air using a compact and cost-effective beam transport line based on permanent quadrupole magnets. The magnetic beamline coupled with a laser-plasma source based on a 14-TW laser results in a well-collimated proton beam of about 10 mm in diameter propagating in air over a few cm distance.

The results of self-consistent beam dynamics simulation are presented for the linac of the NESTOR storage ring. Consideration is given to the influence of particle energy change at the output of the electron gun during the current pulse. The obtained data have formed the basis for the computation of the beam transport line for research in the field of high energy physics.

Background: It is proposed to use maglev transport as the basis for the development of the transport system of urban agglomerations. Its operation requires a special high-speed infrastructure, new rolling stock. The project for the construction and operation of the maglev transport line (MLT) St. Petersburg Sertolovo has an extremely long-term nature, significantly affects the development of urban high-speed transport, and therefore its implementation is possible only within the framework of strategic management of the development of urban transport systems. Aim: Commissioning of maglev transport lines in places of concentration of growing passenger traffic, which will help to reduce travel time, meet freight needs, improve the quality and increase travel safety when driving on dedicated lanes. Method: The article has developed proposals for the tariff policy on the maglev transport lines. Also, a forecast of passenger traffic on the MLT line was given, taking into account the recommended tariffs for collecting tolls, and the potential income of the project on the MLT line was determined. Results: The purpose of the introduction of this MLT line is to improve transport services and reduce the time spent on trips for the population of the city of Sertolovo by providing high-speed communications, improving the technical level of rolling stock and MLT stops, which significantly affects the comfort of passenger movement.

Computerized traffic modeling makes it possible to find out the modification needs to assess the traffic flow on the roads and detect likely problem areas in order to take timely measures to eliminate them. Competent preparation of a road network formation plan based on the acquired information makes it possible to reduce the load on the road transport line, avoid traffic jams, and also reduce the average time spent by drivers on the roads. The macroscopic and microscopic models of the cars flow were analyzed by authors to implement the computer model. The article considered the model of the cellular automata by Nagel–Schreckenberg, with the author’s addition that takes into account the presence of the road sections inaccessible for driving in. The need to modify the lane change algorithm was implemented: the condition of the need to change the lane when car is meeting an inaccessible road section was added. And also the “polite” drivers algorithm for bypassing inaccessible areas with a high density of the traffic flows was proposed. Such a model is realized on Python programming language. An analysis of vehicles behavior with different traffic density and location of inaccessible road sections for two- and three-lane roads was carried out based on that model modification.

In response to the national concept of green and low carbon, the carbon emission analysis and peak prediction of transportation in 20 cities were carried out by using the carbon emission calculation model based on residents’ travel, and the quantitative effects of various improvement measures were evaluated. The results show that the urban transport structure and residents' travel distance are positively correlated with the urban carbon emission intensity, and the urban transport carbon emission in China will reach the peak around 2023. Accelerating the application of new energy, optimizing the urban transport structure, building a green transport system, and optimizing the urban transport line network all have good emission reduction effects.
