The advances in computer-aided design tools have enabled design visualization and realization to become more efficient and effective. However, these fast-growing digital technologies are also gradually reducing the presence of hand drawings in architectural education. This leads to a reduction in the ability to be inspired from the direct observation of the architectural environment through on-site freehand sketching. This study aims to implement digital technology as a teaching aid to retrieve these lost abilities. Analytical drawing is a method that encourages thinking before drawing, laying out the invisible underlying structure, and finalizing it with a visible appearance. This method remains an effective way of three-dimensional visual thinking. Accordingly, this study presents an interactive smartphone application that brings computer-assisted instructions into mobile learning. Promising responses from students revealed that using digital technology as a teaching aid can help to retrieve the lost abilities of visual thinking through on-site sketching.

This paper explores the changes in student’s level of achievement and per-ception towards authentic learning environment based on visual thinking elements. The three elements in visual thinking continuum are visual thinking, visual learning and visual communication. This research is a quan-titative design involving quantitative and qualitative data. Research instru-ments included pre and post achievement tests, and a questionnaire on stu-dent’s perception towards visualization level. There are 29 samples students, from teacher training first degree program in one of Malaysian public univer-sities. The research data were analyzed by inferential and descriptive statisti-cal analysis. Research findings through paired-sample t-test showed that there is a significant difference between scores of mean for the pre-test and post-test (p< 0.05) and shows positive student’s perception towards authen-tic learning environment. All students have experienced positive growth in their level of visualization through authentic learning environment activities which based on visual thinking elements. Therefore, it can be concluded that the visual-based website has helped to enhance the students’ performance and visualization levels.

The research aims to find out “academic boredom among the students of the University of Qadisiyah” and to measure the level of academic boredom among the students of the University of Qadisiyah according to the gender variable (males - females). Relying on the theory (Pekrun, 2007), which consists of (3) areas and (45) paragraphs, the researcher confirmed and after applying the tool to the sample, the data was unloaded and statistically processed using the t-test for one sample and the t-test for two independent samples. The level of academic boredom among all students of the University of Qadisiyah is equivalent to the default average of the visual thinking scale and with a non-significant difference. At the present, a set of conclusions was reached, and the researcher recommended some recommendations and suggestions.

The aim of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of a proposed strategy according to visual thinking in the achievement of physics and mental sharpness among fifth- grade biology student , by verifying the following null hypothesis : there is no difference or statistical significance at the level ( 0.05 ) average scores of the experimental group students which was studied according suggested strategy and the average scores of the students of the control group who studied in the usual way at the level of achievement in physics and mental sharpness . The research limited for fifth grade biology students in the middle and high schools of the day affiliated to the directorate of education Al-Diwaniyah center for the academic year ( 2020 – 2021 ) , the research chose Al-Zaytoun high school intentionally , then two division were chosen out of four divisions for the fifth grade biology were randomly selected , the sample number was ( 71 ) students , and by ( 35 ) students for the control group , which studied in the usual way and ( 36 ) students for the experimental group , which studied according to the proposed strategy , the pilot and officer groups have been equal in a number of variables are the time-old in the months of the semi-year test degree with physics and previous information , for the purpose of achieving my research goals , researchers adopted a threat to a multi-choice (35) paragraph , the test was verified and its stability was also verified as the discriminatory force was calculated for its paragraphs , the mental acuity test was also built , which consisted of (45) items distributed over 3 sub-dimensions , the validity and reliability of the test were verified , and the discriminatory power of the items was calculated , the results showed the superiority of the students of the experimental group that studied according to the proposed strategy over the students of the control group that studied in the usual away in achievement in physics and mental acuity for the fifth grade biology students , thus , the null hypothesis was rejected accordingly, the researchers recommended using the proposed strategy in teaching physics and suggested conducting other studies for other stages of study and different study subjects to know the effectiveness of the proposed .

Abstract Ample scientific literature recognises the role of visual thinking in the constructive process of ideas and mental images and the function of visual intelligence in the communicative processes. Starting from the sectoral studies, we have turned our attention to the visual communication of the results of scientific research, relating it to some characteristics of artistic communication to find a shared ground, that is, a third space inhabited by common languages and competencies. In so doing, we have overcome the traditional antinomy between humanists and scientists, starting instead from the results of a recent study that has shown how such an opposition does not find real confirmation in the sector of science communication. We have thus analysed three case studies (graphical abstract, augmented reality, audiovisual documentation) on the grounds of a 10-year long experience of research in the field of visual communication (iconography and iconology, art teaching, video research) to acknowledge visual thinking and graphical/artistic competencies, situated in the third space between didactics and art, a fundamental role in the formation of a scientist and a researcher.
