Background. Paclitaxel-induced peripheral neuropathy (PIPN) is a major side effect of paclitaxel in patients with cancer with no fully known mechanisms. The aim of the study was to investigate the fine sub-microscopic structure of the spinal cord anterior horn neurons in PIPN combined with 2-ethyl-6-methyl-3-hydroxypyridine succinate administration. Methods. The experiment was performed on 80 white rats, which were administered intraperitoneally with Paclitaxel (Actavis, Romania), pre-dissolved in an isotonic saline at a dose of 2 mg / kg body weight four times a day to achieve a dose of 8 mg / kg. Then 48 of these animals were injected intraperitoneally 2-ethyl-6-methyl-3-hydroxypyridine succinate at a dose of 10 mg / kg (32 rats received intraperitoneally water for injection). Observation periods were 1, 7, 14, 21, 28 days. Results. We found that 2-ethyl-6-methyl-3-hydroxypyridine corrects the morpho-functional state of the motor neurons of the spinal cord and revealed a positive metabolic effect on them. Conclusion. This was manifested by the improvement of the electron microscopic picture of the neuronal structures responsible for their protein-synthetic (granular endoplasmic reticulum, ribosomes and polysomes), respiratory (mitochondria), and protective (lysosomes) functions.

Abstract We study the genus expansion on compact Riemann surfaces of the gravitational path integral $$ {\mathcal{Z}}_{\mathrm{grav}}^{(m)} $$ Z grav m in two spacetime dimensions with cosmological constant Λ > 0 coupled to one of the non-unitary minimal models ℳ2m − 1, 2. In the semiclassical limit, corresponding to large m, $$ {\mathcal{Z}}_{\mathrm{grav}}^{(m)} $$ Z grav m admits a Euclidean saddle for genus h ≥ 2. Upon fixing the area of the metric, the path integral admits a round two-sphere saddle for h = 0. We show that the OPE coefficients for the minimal weight operators of ℳ2m − 1, 2 grow exponentially in m at large m. Employing the sewing formula, we use these OPE coefficients to obtain the large m limit of the partition function of ℳ2m − 1, 2 for genus h ≥ 2. Combining these results we arrive at a semiclassical expression for $$ {\mathcal{Z}}_{\mathrm{grav}}^{(m)} $$ Z grav m . Conjecturally, $$ {\mathcal{Z}}_{\mathrm{grav}}^{(m)} $$ Z grav m admits a completion in terms of an integral over large random Hermitian matrices, known as a multicritical matrix integral. This matrix integral is built from an even polynomial potential of order 2m. We obtain explicit expressions for the large m genus expansion of multicritical matrix integrals in the double scaling limit. We compute invariant quantities involving contributions at different genera, both from a matrix as well as a gravity perspective, and establish a link between the two pictures. Inspired by the proposal of Gibbons and Hawking relating the de Sitter entropy to a gravitational path integral, our setup paves a possible path toward a microscopic picture of a two-dimensional de Sitter universe.

The fixation solution that is widely used in anatomical pathology laboratories is NBF 10%, the excess of NBF 10% because the pH is close to neutral, can be stored in large quantities and a long time. Helly's fixation solution is a good fixation solution for the cytoplasm, and only requires 2-3 hours of fixation. Knowing the microscopic picture of the preparation of hepar mencit tissue (Mus musculus) fixated with NBF 10% and Helly solution. This research is an experimental study with a descriptive analysis approach. picture of hepar mencit tissue preparation (Mus musculus) fixation with NBF 10% obtained as much as 100% good preparation. While the fixated with Helly solution obtained as much as 66% good preparation. Conclusion: Microscopic picture of hepar mencit tissue preparation (Mus musculus) fixated with NBF is 10% better than Helly solution.

AbstractRecent theoretical explanations for how hydrodynamic-like flow can build up quickly in small collision systems (hydrodynamization) has led to a microscopic picture of flow building up in a gluon-dominated phase before chemical equilibrium between quarks and gluons has been attained. The goal of this contribution to Offshell-2021 is to explore consequence of assuming a long-lived gluon-dominated phase, which we shall denote a gluon plasma (GP). As these consequences are naturally enhanced in a large systems, we assume and explore the extreme scenario in which a GP would be created in AA collisions and exist for significant time before the formation of a chemically-equilibrated quark-gluon plasma (QGP). The GP and its formation would be impossible to probe with light-quark hadrons, which are first produced later in this scenario. As charm quarks are produced early in the collision, they can circumvent the limitations of light quarks and we propose charm balance functions as an effective tool to test this idea and constrain the dynamics of the GP.

Forensic medical examination should always be based on incontestable provisions, proven by appropriate scientific development. In some cases, the scientific development of individual issues available to date turns out to be insufficient and we have to look for new evidence that will facilitate the exact resolution of the questions posed to the examination. This is the position now on the issue of gunshot injuries.

Parathyroid adenomas(PTH) are rare lesions. We report a case of recurrent parathyroid adenoma in a 28 year old male patient. He was operated for parathyroid adenoma, right inferior parathyroid was removed ten years bsck. Now he presented with extreme muscle weakness and renal calcinosis. Entire clinical history, laboratory investigations, microscopic picture are discussed in detail.

Compliance with standardized conditions for the use of lasers and the development of modes in experimental conditions is one of the main factors that make it possible to safely use a laser in surgical practice. To date, a new 445 nm blue laser has now become available for otorhinolaryngologists. The use of this type of laser in rhinosurgery requires some both experimental and clinical studies that will help signal the possibilities and limitations of the use of this laser. Objectives: Choose the safest and most sparing mode of exposure to a laser with a wavelength of 445 nm for rhinosurgery. Materials and methods: The experimental part of the study was carried out on samples of biological tissues with optical properties close to the tissues in the nasal cavity. As a biological model, preparations of chicken muscle tissue and preparations of chicken liver tissue were selected. A new laser with a wavelength of 445 nm was used. The results of the microscopic picture were evaluated by histological examination. The study was carried out using a biological microscope Biolam M-1 (JSC “LOMO”, Russia), with standard magnification of 100 times. Staining of histological preparations was carried out according to hematoxylin-eosin, trichrome according to Masson. To measure the specified parameters, the VIDEOTEST system for morphometry was used. Conclusion: A laser with a wavelength of 445 nm in the experiment showed the possibility of using it in a constant contact mode. The obtained results of the maximum depth of damage when using a laser with a wavelength of 445 nm suggest the most sparing and safe modes of using the laser in surgical practice.
