Deparaffinization is a stage before the staining process to remove/dissolve paraffin so that the absorption of color in tissue preparations is maximized. Deparaffinization is usually carried out using xylol and toluol. Xylol has toxic effects including acute neurotoxicity, heart and kidney damage, hepatotoxicity, fatal blood dyscrasias, skin erythema, dry skin, peeling skin, and also has a carcinogenic effect. The toxicity effect of olive oil is lower than that of xylol. Oils that have non-polar properties can remove the remaining paraffin contained in the tissue. The purpose of this study was to determine the microscopic appearance of the kidney tissue preparations of mice deparaffinized with olive oil on hematoxylin eosin (HE) staining. The type of research used is experimental research which is analyzed with a descriptive approach. The results of the assessment of preparations deparaffinized with xylol in 80 visual fields obtained 100% good preparations and preparations deparaffinized with olive oil in 80 visual fields obtained 0% poor preparations, 11.3% poor preparations, and 88.7% good preparation. So it can be said that better results are found in the microscopic picture of the kidney preparations of mice (Mus musculus) deparaffinized with xylol.

The metal smelting industry tends to have high air Pb levels exceeding the threshold determined by the CDC is 100 g/m3. The smelting dust particles are Pb and SO2 circulating in the air along with combustion fumes is very possible to be inhaled by metal smelters who do not wear proper personal protective equipment. High levels of Pb The air inhaled by metal smelters can affect the health level of workers, one of which is the disruption of the erythropoiesis process which can cause abnormal erythrocyte index levels. This study aims to determine the description of erythrocyte index levels in metal smelters based on literature studies. This research is an observational qualitative research through a literature review approach, with data collection methods that use secondary data from several related scientific journals. Secondary data analysis is descriptive and presented in tabular form. Based on the results of research from three related scientific journals, the average level of the erythrocyte index in metal smelting workers is normochromic normocytic with an average length of work of more than 3.89 years, workers who smoke as much as 78% and those who do not smoke as much as 22%, workers who using PPE as much as 56% and 44% who do not use PPE.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus accounts for about 90% of all diabetes cases worldwide. Type 2 DM is caused by the body's inability to respond well to insulin or called insulin resistance. Insulin resistance causes hyperglycemia and hyperinsulinemia which results in decreased uric acid excretion function in the kidney tubules, so that there will be an increase in uric acid in the blood or hyperuricemia. Type of research including descriptive with cross sectional approach. The examination was carried out at Dr. Adhyatma, MPH. The research respondents were 24 people, uric acid levels were examined with a TMS 50i Superior device. The data obtained is processed and presented in the form of diagrams and percentages. Type 2 DM respondents numbered 24 people. The highest hyperuricemia is based on the characteristics of the respondents, those are above 55 years old (25%), female sex (25%), high blood pressure (25%), and exercise activity 1x / day (21%). Of the 24 respondents, 14 people (58.3%) had normal uric acid levels and 10 people (41.6%) had hyperuricemia, with an average female uric acid value of 5.54 mg / dL and men of 6,48 mg / dL.

Of chronic kidney failure is a state of decreased kidney function, where the kidneys are no longer able to excrete the rest of the body's metabolism. In end-stage chronic kidney failure hemodialysis is needed to eliminate the rest of the body's metabolism that accumulates in the blood and reduce the risk of death. The effectiveness of hemodialysis can be seen from the decrease in urea levels after hemodialysis. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of urea levels before and after hemodialysis in kidney failure patients. This research method uses descriptive observational data collection with URR (Urea Reduction Ratio) involving 130 patients with kidney failure who undergo hemodialysis. This research was conducted in July and October 2019 in the laboratory unit of the Klaten Islamic Hospital. The results There was a decrease in urea levels before and after hemodialysis. Where ureum levels before hemodialysis averaged 133.19 mg / dl and after hemodialysi s averaged 39.74 mg / dl . Conclusions  Urea levels in patients with renal failure before hemodialysis increase / height can be 2 times or more than normal levels, an average of 133.19 mg / dl. Increased urea level increases influenced by several factors, including sex, age, indications such as supplements, medications and diabetes mellitus. Urea levels after hemodialysis  average  39.74 mg / dl resulting in a decrease in urea levels before and after hemodialysis 70,16%.
