The limited allocation of time, which is only 2 hours per week, the curricula that often change, the stereotypes about the History of Islamic Civilization (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam or SKI) as a merely complementary and a boring subject, are among significant obstacles for SKI teachers to deliver the learning of the subject with demands for changes in the students’ cognitive, affective, and psycho-motoric aspects,. This paper aims at studying the strategies employed by the SKI teacher at the Islamic Junior High School (Madrasah Tsanawiyah or MTs) “Bahrul Ulum” Gadingmangu – Perak – Jombang in learning the subject to the students. The study is qualitative field research and the data was analyzed using the descriptive method. The findings show that the teacher’s good preparation and mastery of the subject, the Small Group Work (SGW) technique, and self-habituation activities have helped much in overcoming obstacles in the SKI learning as well as helping students to obtain good achievement both academically and non-academically.

Deparaffinization is a stage before the staining process to remove/dissolve paraffin so that the absorption of color in tissue preparations is maximized. Deparaffinization is usually carried out using xylol and toluol. Xylol has toxic effects including acute neurotoxicity, heart and kidney damage, hepatotoxicity, fatal blood dyscrasias, skin erythema, dry skin, peeling skin, and also has a carcinogenic effect. The toxicity effect of olive oil is lower than that of xylol. Oils that have non-polar properties can remove the remaining paraffin contained in the tissue. The purpose of this study was to determine the microscopic appearance of the kidney tissue preparations of mice deparaffinized with olive oil on hematoxylin eosin (HE) staining. The type of research used is experimental research which is analyzed with a descriptive approach. The results of the assessment of preparations deparaffinized with xylol in 80 visual fields obtained 100% good preparations and preparations deparaffinized with olive oil in 80 visual fields obtained 0% poor preparations, 11.3% poor preparations, and 88.7% good preparation. So it can be said that better results are found in the microscopic picture of the kidney preparations of mice (Mus musculus) deparaffinized with xylol.

HIGHLIGHT1. Due to Covid-19 pandemics, anxiety among pregnant mothers is increasing and good preparation for childbirth is needed.2. A survey was carried out to find pregnant mothers level of anxiety and preparation for childbirth during the pandemics.3. Most of the pregnant mothers were severely anxious, but most of them also felt prepared for childbirth. No relationship was found between anxiety and preparedness for childbirth. ABSTRACTObjective: Corona Virus (COVID-19) currently occurring in Indonesia greatly affects the health of the entire community, both physically and psychologically. During the pandemic period, social restrictions are required in an effort to reduce the spread of the virus, especially for pregnant women who are vulnerable to infection because of their weak immune system. This causes increased maternal anxiety during pregnancy. Therefore, good preparation for childbirth is needed so that mothers receive sufficient information and receive safe services from exposure to viruses.Materials and Methods: This research used an analytic survey method with a cross sectional approach. Done by distributing closed questions on online questionnaires to pregnant women in Surabaya through social media networks. The sampling technique used simple random sampling and managed to collect a sample of 90 people. Results: This research showed that pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic in Surabaya experienced 13% mild anxiety, 24% moderate anxiety, 63% severe anxiety. Preparation for childbirth during the COVID-19 pandemic in Surabaya was 20% unprepared and 80% ready. Conclusion: There is no relationship between the anxiety experienced by pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic and their preparation for delivery. Pregnant women were worried that they can be exposed to the virus. Therefore, they can prepare for childbirth properly so that they can go through delivery safely and comfortably.

Reaching the EU climate-neutrality objective in 2050 is very ambitious, especially for the Member States from Central-Eastern Europe. All the Member States will face challenges of transformational changes, but a good preparation of their administrative capacity will be a consistent support. The aim of this article is to analyze Romania’s decision-making process for the implementation of the European Green Deal Strategy, reflected in its administrative capacity. For achieving this goal, an interesting model of analysis was elaborated, which takes into consideration three levels and dimensions: strategic (with executive and legislative dimensions), administrative (national and regional dimensions) and outcomes (assessed from a well-being lens and public opinions surveys). The model will be applied at the European and national levels (Romania). It uses qualitative research strategies and methods. The transversal character of the EGD strategy, the coordination needed for its implementation, and the interdependencies and regional approach are important components that pave the way for the elaboration of the National Green Deal Plan, which becomes compulsory for an adequate design of the sustainable, adaptive, and mature Romanian administrative capacity. In addition, the article proposes a few recommendations at the national and local levels for the preparation of a better implementation of the EGD.

The fixation solution that is widely used in anatomical pathology laboratories is NBF 10%, the excess of NBF 10% because the pH is close to neutral, can be stored in large quantities and a long time. Helly's fixation solution is a good fixation solution for the cytoplasm, and only requires 2-3 hours of fixation. Knowing the microscopic picture of the preparation of hepar mencit tissue (Mus musculus) fixated with NBF 10% and Helly solution. This research is an experimental study with a descriptive analysis approach. picture of hepar mencit tissue preparation (Mus musculus) fixation with NBF 10% obtained as much as 100% good preparation. While the fixated with Helly solution obtained as much as 66% good preparation. Conclusion: Microscopic picture of hepar mencit tissue preparation (Mus musculus) fixated with NBF is 10% better than Helly solution.

Abstract This study aimed to analyze factors affecting income of organic curly red chili farming in Cepogo District, Boyolali Regency. The samples in this study were selected using random sampling method. Results shows the average cost per hectare in total cost, income earn by farmer after sales, and income received per farm are Rp. 5,637,058; Rp. 110,050,711; and Rp. 105,914,352, respectively. The factors affecting chili production are land area, seeds, liquid organic fertilizer, labor costs, and pesticides. To get better chili production, a good preparation to handling weather and climate changes is needed. In here, those two factors seem to have great impact on the spread of pest and disease as evidenced by high cost of organic pesticides and liquid organic fertilizers.

AbstractProgressing from postdoctoral training to a STEM faculty appointment at a Research Intensive Institution (RII) is a daunting transition, and may be especially challenging to those who have followed a less-than-conventional path or whose peers have lost interest in academic careers. This article describes how to prepare for and progress through the application process for institutions in the USA, which takes approximately 1 year, including what to expect at each step and recommendations for a successful transition. The odds of success for any individual application are low, making good preparation and careful planning the more important, as does managing expectations to avoid becoming discouraged early in the process. The rewards of landing the faculty appointment at an institution that matches your professional and personal needs and for which you are best suited more than exceeds the effort required to attain it.

ObjectiveThe widespread adoption of endovascular therapy (EVT) for emergent large vessel occlusion has led to increased nationwide demand for neurointerventionalists, heightened interest among neurology residents to pursue neurointervention as a career, and increased importance of neurointervention exposure for all neurologists who care for patients with acute ischemic stroke. Exposure to neurointervention and its career path are not well-defined for neurology trainees.MethodsThe Society for Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN) Education Committee conducted a multicenter electronic survey directed towards neurology residents and vascular neurology (VN), neurocritical care (NCC), and neurointervention fellows in June 2018. A total of 250 programs were invited to participate; 76 trainees completed the survey.ResultsRespondents self-identified as 22% postgraduate year (PGY)2, 40% PGY3/4, 30% VN fellows, and 8% neurointervention or NCC fellows. Eighty-seven percent of trainees had more than 2 months exposure to VN during residency, 41% to NCC, and only 3% to neurointervention. Sixty-eight percent of respondents had no exposure to neurointervention during residency. Whereas 72% believed that a background in neurology was good preparation for neurointervention, only 41% agreed that fellowship training pathway in neurointervention is well-structured for neurology residents when compared to other subspecialties.ConclusionIn this survey, respondents identified lack of exposure to neurointervention and a well-defined training pathway as obstacles towards pursuing neurointervention as a career. These obstacles must be addressed for the continued development of neurointervention as a subspecialty of neurology.
