The formation of variable questions in direct speech is remarkably regular in Hellenistic Greek. There are, however, a few exceptions to the standard rule that the Greek New Testament exhibits. These exceptions occur for rhetorical and social reasons and in such a way that they affect the information structure and meaning of these interrogatives. Questions that follow the rule—and the exceptions—both evidence the regularity of word order in New Testament Greek.

While—like all artistic forms—it allows for deviation from this standard rule, rap is heavily reliant on building blocks of sixteen bars and a refrain. In addition, rhyme plays a prominent role in structuring rap, which is why the form is also colloquially referred to as “rhyming.” In view of this, Billy Woods’s record Today, I Wrote Nothing was a considerable departure from the existing rap norm. On the record, Woods stylistically adapted a collection of works by Russian absurdist writer Daniil Kharms, which was also called Today, I Wrote Nothing. Kharms was known for writing short prose without any formal structure. Most of his stories deal with absurd situations and slapstick humour. The structure of the fragmented fiction is adapted into rap on Woods’s record. The long rap verses are replaced by short songs without any specific narrative. The record maintains the non-structure of Kharms’s writing, as well as its absurdity, but it abandons any semblance of traditional rap. The second important stylistic and structural choice made in Woods’s record was the integration of aspects of Flannery O’Connor’s writing, particularly its humour and darkness. The article will focus on how Billy Woods integrates intertextuality into his lyrics to give the songs additional layers of meaning.

This chapter explains Article I of the Colorado Constitution, which defines the state’s boundaries. The constitution adopted the boundaries established by Congress under the Organic Act establishing Colorado Territory in 1861, ignoring earlier proposals that used the continental divide as a boundary. The state’s east-west limits are defined by two meridians measured from Washington, D. C. The north-south boundaries are set at 37 and 41 degrees of north latitude. A resurvey of the 37th parallel led to New Mexico’s suit to claim a significant slice of territory, but the Supreme Court rejected the revision based on the standard rule that a resurvey does not change a boundary that has been relied on.

Abstract Process uncertainty can have negative effects on part quality and is, therefore, critical to the safety and performance of products. Those effects are manifested in the dimensional measurement uncertainty associated with those parts and products. To minimize the effects of process uncertainties, the sources of dimensional uncertainty must be identified and clearly communicated to collaborators and suppliers. A principal source of dimensional uncertainty is the measurement equipment itself. This paper presents an activity model, rule types, and sample rules for selecting dimensional-metrology equipment. The activity model represents key operations and information flows associated with dimensional measurement. Analysis of the included activity model facilitates the development of rule types for measurement-equipment selection as described in the Quality Information Framework (QIF) standard. Rule types are based on design information and measurement requirements. Standard rule types enable industrial metrologists to capture, exchange, and share equipment-selection rules with their collaborators. Example QIF rules are defined for successful and cost-saving use in planning a measurement process with functionally complex and appropriate dimensional-measurement equipment.

This article aims to describe the application of the standard of proof in arbitration and to question whether the standard to be applied should be the same as or lower than in ordinary civil justice as a result of the contractual origin of the dispute. The determination of the applicable standard takes into consideration the equality of arms and other guarantees of due process, along with the fact of the absence of the standard rule in the Arbitration Act 1996. The arbitrator shall establish these aspects at the beginning of the process, considering also the rules of burden of proof.

The article deals with three issues: (1) how to understand the crisis in the context of the city, (2) what components in the urban crisis equation can be distinguished (constant, variable, unknown), and (3) according to which criteria the predictability of the dynamics of processes taking place in an urbanized environment should be understood. In the analysis, categories of text, code, narrative (discourse), structure and conditions were used as levels of crisis interpretation – in the light of findings of culture semiotician Y. Lotman and mathematician R. Thom. The main result of this study is that the crisis is a stable standard (rule) for all unstable morphologies, including cities.

The objective of this research paper is to establish the relationship between a randomly selected point of the field of play and the target. The analysis has been based on an exemplary pitch and the rules of football. A decision to desist from the field gain and to take a shot must take into account the relationship between the possible angle of dispersion and the angle at which the goal can be seen. The latter one (denoted as γ) has been devoted special attention here. Then, we have paid special attention to the fact that the view of the goal decreases as the player moves away from the longitudinal axis of the pitch. By turning the direction of the goal line b to the direction that is perpendicular to the line of shot, we obtain a decreased projection of the goal t. The indicators such as angle γ, projection t and its quotient version N aptly define various spatial situations that occur in the field of play. However, in order to add better illustration to the assessment, another indicator (V) has been proposed. It treats the changing view of the goal as an “aiming target” observed from varying distances. The comparability of the opportunities has also been demonstrated in the form of circle-shaped isolines, based on the chord of the goal. The performed analyses have legitimised the standard rule and aim of football which involves favourable field gain along the wings and finally crossing the ball into the middle field.
