In this paper, the change of nanotubes and the current–time curve under different temperature are explained clearly. Also, ginseng shaped nanotubes were found in experiments, which proved the irrationality of field assisted dissolution theory.

This study reports the effect of humidity and pollutants on the formation of dry band phenomena on the insulation surface of an outdoor 20 kV distribution current transformer. From the results of measurements at high humidity 95% and high conductivity 36 mS/cm at a working voltage of 2-20kV test there is a change in the curve of increasing the value of the leakage current which is very volatile. Wet layer of impurity will cause a drastic decrease in surface resistance resulting in a large increase in leakage current. At a high conductivity of 36 mS/cm, the results of the measurement of surface resistance at low humidity of 55% worth 30.2 giga ohms decreased to 2.1 giga ohms at high humidity of 95%. While the value of the leakage current curve is very fluctuating from the value of 206 - 678 A at high conductivity with heavy pollutants. This information confirms the hypothesis that the boundary region of the two air-solid dielectrics of the epoxy resin causes surface discharge problems in dry band formation due to an increase in the non-uniform local electric field in the impurity layer adhering to the surface of the distribution current transformer. Keywords : leakage current, dry band, surface discharge, contaminants

AbstractDevelopable surfaces have a vital part in geometric modeling, architectural design, and material manufacturing. Developable Bézier surfaces are the important tools in the construction of developable surfaces, but due to polynomial depiction and having no shape parameter, they cannot describe conics exactly and can only handle a few shapes. To tackle these issues, two straightforward techniques are proposed to the computer-aided design of developable generalized blended trigonometric Bézier surfaces (for short, developable GBT-Bézier surfaces) with shape parameters. A developable GBT-Bézier surface is established by making a collection of control planes with generalized blended trigonometric Bernstein-like (for short, GBTB) basis functions on duality principle among points and planes in 4D projective space. By changing the values of shape parameters, a group of developable GBT-Bézier surfaces that preserves the features of the developable GBT-Bézier surfaces can be generated. Furthermore, for a continuous connection among these developable GBT-Bézier surfaces, the necessary and sufficient $G^{1}$ G 1 and $G^{2}$ G 2 (Farin–Boehm and beta) continuity conditions are also defined. Some geometric designs of developable GBT-Bézier surfaces are illustrated to show that the suggested scheme can settle the shape and position adjustment problem of developable Bézier surfaces in a better way than other existing schemes. Hence, the suggested scheme has not only all geometric features of current curve design schemes but surpasses their imperfections which are usually faced in engineering.

Abstract The synthesis of devices for efficient energy conversion is shown. It is shown that simple aggregation as the most obvious way to obtain three-phase converters based on single-phase circuit solutions can lead to disadvantages during their operation. The article demonstrates some techniques of the method of structural synthesis, which made it possible to improve the circuit design of a three-phase rectifier with zone-phase regulation and improve the shape of the rectified current curve.

A dense plasma focus is a table top machine producing a short-lived extremely popular plasma and cause fusion. Lee Model Code is a computer-based visual basic simulation package, which was successfully utilized in the plasma focus devices. The dynamics of plasma focus discharge is quite complicated, so to review and simplify the complication Lee Model couples electrical circuit with the plasma focus dynamics, radiation and therefore the thermodynamics. This enables us to simulate all of the gross focus properties. In this paper the numerical experiments are carried out to compute the current trace as a function of time for plasma focus (PF) device NX2. Results obtained by the numerical experiments are compared with the published laboratory measured data. This current fitting is completed to get the model parameters.

An application of the so-called acid-base diode would be the sensitive detection of nonhydrogen cations in an acidic medium based on salt-effects. For diode purposes different connecting elements between the acidic and aqueous reservoirs of the diode were developed, namely a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hydrogel cylinder, and a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) membrane. During the measurement of the voltage – current characteristic (VCC) of the diode, it was found, that in the case of PVA gel cylinder an overshoot (a local maximum followed by a local minimum) appeared in the time vs. current curve, while the diode was switched between modes (open or closed), that is the direction of the applied voltage was reversed. The overshoot did not appear in PVB membrane. The existence of overshoots was studied by numerical simulations. The time response of the diode with different hypothetic connecting elements was investigated, when the diode was switched between modes via changing the polarity of applied voltage. We found that larger diffusion coefficients of hydrogen and hydroxide ions explain the appearance of overshoots. By examining the concentration and potential profiles a qualitative explanation of this phenomenon was given.

Based on the development of the theory of reactive power and distortion power, starting with the works of Fryze and Budeanu, it has been found that the contradictions in the definition of the components of inactive powers are caused by errors in the introduced intermediate concepts and corresponding calculations when switching to nonlinear and non-sinusoidal AC circuits. The materials of the works of modern researchers and the numerical calculations carried out made it possible to trace the differences between reactive power and distortion power, to confirm the orthogonality properties of the active, reactive power, and distortion power components. The paper defines the conditions for achieving a power balance in an AC network with nonlinear loads, compiled and tested criteria leading to the absence of distortion power in a single-phase AC network. Using the time base of the projection of the generalized vectors in vector diagrams, it is shown that compliance with the criteria for the absence of distortion power does not determine the mutual similarity of the voltage curve with the current curve for a nonlinear load. It has been found that the well-known term “distortion power” has an unfortunate wording, since this power, although it characterizes the interaction of harmonics of currents and voltages with different ordinal numbers, is not determined by the visual similarity or the degree of distortion of the load current waveforms relative to the supply voltage curve.
