Lack of project scheduling planning and ineffective control make the activity of a project less efficient. This will have an impact on the success of the project. This situation will result in delays and a decrease in the quality of work due to time constraints. Scheduling is important for determining the required activities and arranging a sequence and time frame to complete project activities on time. This study aims to optimize the scheduling of a moderate light rehabilitation project in the Badas Community Health Center building, Kediri Regency, where project start-ups are experiencing delays. The method used is Critical Path Method-Project Evaluation and Review Technique (CPM-PERT), which is a method to determine the duration of a project that can be completed and the percentage of its success. The analysis carried out includes calculation the duration desired acceleration and cost slope. Analysis results using CPM-PERT obtained critical path in: preparation activities (A), earthworks (B), structural work (D), 1st floor work (E), 2nd floor work (F), 3rd floor work (G), roof, ceiling and plank work (H), iron work (I), electrical work (L), floor and wall covering work (M) and finishing work (N). The normal duration of project completion is 140 days and costs Rp. 1,818,182,709, whereas with the CPM-PERT method the duration can be accelerated to 128 days (probability 99.99%) and required additional fee 8.1% or worth Rp. 146,719,664. Implementers can use it in optimizing scheduling and financing on the badas public health center building construction project.

In construction projects, reinforcing iron is a very important material in the implementation of construction work. The remaining iron material cannot be avoided in the field, so the figure for the remaining unused material affects the costs incurred by the contractor. Given that iron material is one of the materials with a high price on the market. One solution to reduce the amount of remaining iron material is to optimize iron cutting to get the number of pieces as needed with minimal cutting. The method used is Linear Programming with the help of the Solver Add-In program in Microsoft Excel. The research was conducted on a 3-storey building construction project, namely Puskesmas Kampung Dalam, Kab. Padang Pariaman. Works that reflect iron work on the upper and lower structures. The analysis results were obtained from 7.31% and cost Rp. 27.067.887,-.  for the ironworks reviewed. So that the use of the Linear Programming method in the case study of this research is able to optimize the remaining iron material quite well and produce minimum remaining reinforcing iron.

This study primarily aims at analyzing the socio-cultural identity of Karnali Dalits and its impact on society, with an additional motive to examine why Karnali Dalits tend to cover up their caste identity. To address the research need, structured interviews, one-to-one interviews, focus group discussion, participant observation and home visits were used. Major findings include the existence of rich socio-cultural identity of Dalits, who suffer from inferiority complex due to acute caste-based discrimination against them, and who are extremely excluded politically, socially and economically. The study, therefore, suggests that the state and other stakeholders formulate a strategy to empower Karnali Dalits, who often tend to conceal their caste identity due to prevailing severe discrimination against them. After the political changes in Nepal, there are many positive discriminatory laws and opportunities, which are still untapped by the Dalit communities in comparison to other ethnic and disadvantaged section of the communities. The comparative study of Dalit to provide concrete solution to develop positive discriminatory plans and programs which could provide some relief to the Dalits to some extent. The study reaffirms that Kamis are rich in iron work and mechanics, while Sarkis are craft persons in leather work, with Damais being skilled in musician, dance and tailoring.

Business competition in the Batam city nowadays can be said to be very strict because of the growing knowledge, culture and technology so that more competitors are opening a business in the same field. To overcome the tight competition in the marketing of stainless steel and iron work, one of the efforts must be done by the company is to implement the strategy of service quality and promotion to improve customer satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of service quality and promotion on customer satisfaction at PT Stainlessindo Anugrah Karya in Batam city individually and at the same time. This study method is by using descriptive analysis, data quality test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis test. The results of this study indicate that the variable of service quality and promotion individually and simultaneously have a positive value and significance below the alpha level that has been assigned on customer satisfaction variable which the coefficient value of service quality has the most dominant contribution, so it can be concluded that the variable of service quality and promotion have positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction variable individually and simultaneously.

AbstractIron deficiency is a common health problem in mammals, especially in growing piglets hence iron administration to suckling piglets is a routine practice in swine production.A total number of 160 weaners were allotted to two experimental groups according to body weight (I – cachectic underweight piglets; II – piglets with appropriate weaning body weight). Additionally, each group was divided into two subgroups, with iron administered to piglets in subgroups IA and IIA on the first day of the experiment. In order to monitor the weight gains in pigs, they were weighed twice. To estimate the haematological status, blood samples were taken on the weaning day from selected piglets (10 in each subgroup). Haematological analyses were conducted using Hb, Ht, RBC, MCV, MCH, MCHC as early anaemia indicators. Additionally plasma iron (PI) and total iron-binding capacity (TIBC) were assessed as parameters of the actual and potential circulating extracellular iron. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of additional postweaning Fe supplementation on production results. A lower concentration of PI was noted in weaker piglets (Group IA and IB). Throughout the experiment higher daily gains were noted in Group II; differences between Group IIA and IA as well as IB were statistically confirmed at p≤ 0,01.It might be expected that an additional Fe dose applied in weaning piglets can be used as a growth promoter. On the other hand, in case of cachectic animals toxicity of supplemental iron must be taken into consideration.
