Abstract OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to investigate postoperative conduction disorder differences between continuous and interrupted suturing techniques for the closure of perimembranous outlet-type ventricular septal defects (VSDs) in both tetralogy of Fallot (ToF) and isolated VSD cases. METHODS Patients aged 4 years or younger who underwent VSD closure for ToF (n = 112) or isolated perimembranous outlet-type VSD (n = 73) from April 2010 to December 2018 at 3 centres were reviewed. Patients either received continuous suturing for ToF (C-ToF, n = 58) or isolated VSD (C-VSD, n = 50), or interrupted suturing for ToF (I-ToF, n = 54) or isolated VSD (I-VSD, n = 23). Cohorts did not differ in preoperative characteristics. Postoperative conduction disorder differences upon discharge and postoperative year 1 (POY1) were evaluated by electrocardiography. RESULTS The C-ToF group showed significantly shorter PQ intervals (124.0 vs 133.5 ms; P = 0.042 upon discharge, 125.3 vs 133.5 ms; P = 0.045 at POY1) and QRS durations (98.0 vs 106.2 ms; P = 0.031 upon discharge, 97.3 vs 102.5 ms; P = 0.040 at POY1) than the I-ToF group. Right bundle branch block incidence was significantly lower in the C-ToF versus I-ToF groups (56.8 vs 75.9; P = 0.045 upon discharge, 56.8 vs 75.9; P = 0.045 at POY1). Heart rates were significantly lower in the C-ToF versus I-ToF groups at POY1 (109.2 vs 119.3 bpm; P < 0.001). No parameters significantly differed between C-VSD and I-VSD groups. Multivariable analyses confirmed the group (C-ToF versus I-ToF) as a significant covariate in postoperative heart rate, PQ interval, QRS duration and right bundle branch block outcomes at POY1 (P = 0.013, 0.027, 0.013 and 0.014, respectively). CONCLUSIONS A continuous suturing technique for the closure of outlet-type VSD in ToF could reduce the incidence of postoperative right bundle branch block, shorten the PQ interval and lower heart rate. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The data sources used were words and actions as well as written sources. The techniques of research subject collection were purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The data collection techniques chosen were observation, interview, documentation, and triangulations. Data validity testing techniques included triangulation of technical resources. The data were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/ verification. Based on the research findings, the implementation of the link and match program starts from the preparation/ planning stage, the implementation of the teaching and learning process in schools and the cooperation with the industry, and the evaluation stage. The supporting factor for the link and match is the cooperation between the school and DU/DI. In addition, there are a positive responses from students, parents, DU/DI, and the government. There are wo inhibiting factors of the link and match, namely internal and external factors. The solutions used to overcome the problems that occurred are (a) the school always provides supplies and maximizes the practice unit; (b) the school tries to maximize the existing curriculum with work processes in industry so as not to deviate from the core competencies or basic competencies (KI/KD) determined by the Education Office.

One important component of digital academic library construction is to sort out the unique or rare resources from academic institutions by digitalizing and organizing them by themes. Building special subject databases is an important sub-project under CALIS. Throughout the continued construction and development of Phases I, II and III, a large number of special subject databases have been built. These databases are not only important digital resources that strengthen discipline development, but they are also rich special data resources of digital libraries for higher education in China. By reviewing the development path of the CALIS Special Subject Collection, this chapter will cover the management mechanism, technical platform, standards, social benefits, and philosophy behind it.

Studi ini memberikan praktik terbaik tentang penggunaan sistem temu balik informasi di perpustakaan pemerintah yang memiliki keunikan dalam hal jenis koleksi, subjek, koleksi itu sendiri dan pengguna perpustakaan.ABSTRACTIn the digital age, library retrieval system tools must be evaluated to find out the satisfaction and effectiveness of its use. This research discusses information retrieval system evaluation at Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT) library. The study used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data was collected through observation, document study and qualitative audio visual analysis. The results showed that in terms of coverage, its information retrieval tool has been able to cover and process numerous and varied collections from various subjects used by library users. Recall and precision were also high and measurement result on search time lag was fast and effective with resulting average time of 0.48 seconds. Catalog interface made it easy for library users to use and search information even though it seemed rigid. Online catalog has able to help reduce library users excess of effort with familiar display as well as several simple classifications categorizing collections into particular subjects. This study provides best practice on the use of information retrieval system for government libraries, in which its uniqueness in terms of collection types, subject, collection itself and library users.

Paper deals with whole process of organization of photo documentation produced by magazine ARKzin. ARKzin was published from 1991 to 1998 and first existed within the Antiwar Campaign Croatia, a network of peace, antiwar, and human rights groups, and later became independent subject. Collection of photographs consists of around 1500 items, taken from different authors, with some of them later becoming well-known photographers, and covers many subjects: protests, war atrocities, portraits of people interviewed for ARKzin, various social events, and graphics. The collection itself is valuable overview of social and political situation in Croatia in the nineties. The collection was transferred from ARKzin as creator to Documenta in 2011, with the aim of identification of items, organization and digitization, and publishing on virtual archive on the Internet. The paper is presenting the challenges of collection management in both physical and virtual environment, with emphasis on physical organization of the collection.
