Abstract The title of the Conference XXI Conference of PhD Students and Young Scientists “Interdisciplinary topics in mining and geology” The location and the date of the conference virtual event - online conference, Poland, June 23-25, 2021 XXIth Conference of PhD Students and Young Scientists “Interdisciplinary topics in mining and geology” continues a series of events that started in 2000 at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Scientific programme of the Conference focuses on four thematic panels: 1. Mining Engineering: sustainable development, digitalisation in mining, problems of securing, protecting and using remnants of old mining works, underground mining, opencast mining, mineral processing, waste management, mining machinery, mine transport, economics in mining, mining aeronautics, ventilation and air conditioning in mines 2. Earth and Space Science: geology, hydrogeology, extraterrestrial resources, groundwater and medicinal waters, geotourism 3. Geoengineering: environmental protection, applied geotechnics, rock and soil mechanics, geohazards 4. Geoinformation: mining geodesy, GIS, photogrammetry and remote sensing, geodata modeling and analysis. List of Scientific Committee, Organizing Committee, Editorial Team are available in this pdf.

The article presents the results of an analytical study of the equipment of production facilities for automatic control and maintenance of mining equipment. The analysis of the needs of enterprises in parameter control systems and the actual availability of these systems is carried out. Based on the list of parameters, conclusions are drawn about the development of modern automated control systems. The list of parameters was divided into groups to simplify data processing, as well as to be able to draw conclusions about each specific group. The solution of the problem is presented, which allows one to optimize the operation of the equipment and to avoid the occurrence of critical situations as much as possible.

Mining transport systems largely determine effectiveness of mining enterprises. The study aim is developing new technical solutions for progressive mining transport systems based on the harmonization of technological solutions and equipment. The aim is achieved through the introduction of new mine transport designs compatible with tunneling machinery, enabling change from cyclic concept of a mining enterprise activity to in-line system concept. The option is considered on development of designs of steeply inclined and curving conveyors in transport workings, including overhead and floor pipe belt conveyors and airdraulic pipeline systems for delivering lump ore from the face to the surface in the mine. At the same time, the basis of the proposed technology and equipment is the method of contactless hard rock breaking by using hydroimpulsive facilities. The proposed solutions allow decreasing mineral mining and processing capital and operating costs.

According to the characteristics of the ore under inclined lane transportation, design a kind of system which can prevent the transport vehicle’s speed out of control. The system can according to the different load of transport vehicles and the stall speed given different braking force to expand the application range of the system and increased its practicability. This set of system automation control and flexible intercept, prevent the stalled car accidents, and eliminate potential safety problems.
