Patients with Down syndrome have a delay in neuropsychomotor development. For this reason, physiotherapy is indicated early, in order to stimulate motor activities and provide a better quality of life. To verify the effects of exercise on the quality of life of patients with Down syndrome. A non-systematic review was carried out through a search in the PEDro database, with randomized clinical trials, published between 2008 and 2019, using the following keywords: exercise down, down syndrome physiotherapy. Six studies were included for review. Strength increased with various exercises in the 5 studies in which it was evaluated. Three studies showed improved balance with the use of resistance, isokinetic and stabilization exercises. Two articles evaluated physical function, based on resistance exercises, and only one improved. One article assessed blood glucose, fat, cholesterol and blood pressure, but there were no significant differences. Exercise improves important aspects such as strength and balance, with different types of intervention for patients with Down syndrome, reinforcing the importance of early physical therapy.

Objective: To understand impact of physical activity on pain perception in patients presenting with acute pulpitis for endodontic therapy. Study Design: It was quantitative correlational by design. Place and duration of study: Department of Operative Dentistry, Dental Section, Islam Dental College, Sialkot. Materials & Methods: 500 patients from the Dental Section of Islam Dental College Sialkot were included in this study. The correlation of movement/walk and pain during endodontic treatment was determined. Numeric pain scale was used to document pain. Activity was measured by the number of minutes of walk of the patient. Results: There is a significant association between physical activity/exercise and pain. Statistical significance between pain and exercise was -.158. Conclusion: Pre-operative assessment of physical activity may be a predictor of pain perceived by patients. Therefore, it is important to educate and consider patient’s physical activity to manage pain during the dental treatment. Life style modification may seems insignificant but has proven positive impact in pain management. Keywords: Exercise, local anaesthesia (LA), endodontic therapy, pain.

AbstractScapular dyskinesia refers to the functional disorder that affects  the shoulder complex. Strength training has recently been used as a non-pharmacological strategy to minimize functional disorders that affect the musculoskeletal system. However, the evidence pointing to the contributions of strength training on scapular dyskinesia is still poorly understood. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to systematically review the evidence on the effects of strength training on scapular dyskinesia. The search for articles was carried out in the index databases Google Scholar, SciELO and PubMED until October 2017, with the application of the following descriptors: "scapular dyskinesia" and "strength training" in Portuguese and English, in different orders and combinations. Two researchers participated in the process of searching and selecting the articles and the PEDro scale was used as an instrument to evaluate the quality of the studies. 12 articles were found and after the application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria six manuscripts presented eligibility to compose the review. The evidences found allows us to point out the effects of strength training on the increase of lean mass, strengthening of the shoulder complex, reduction of reported pain and improvement in movement pattern. Therefore, considering the evidence found, strength training is suggested as one of the possible and efficient strategies in the people’s rehabilitation with scapular dyskinesia. Keywords: Exercise Therapy.

AbstractThis study aims to determine whether speed and agility exercises have a significant effect on improving catching abilities in roundball games. The method used in this study is the experimental method, with the independent variables being speed and agility, and the dependent variable is the round ball catching technique. The sample used in this study was 40 students - 19 public elementary school students and as a comparison for students at the base of the city of Bengkulu. The data collection instrument or tool used in this study is a 30-meter sprint, running back and forth with a distance of 10 meters with 4 times back and forth and throwing a catch into the target wall of 2 meters in 30 seconds. Based on the management and analysis of the data obtained, the results of this study are the initial test average of 42.65. agility 19.66 and catching 59.60 the average test finally speeds 56.14. Agility 5.06 and throw catch 7.20 - the average difference of 1.9. The conclusion of this study, judging from the data, is that speed and agility training have a significant effect on round ball catching. Keywords: exercise speed and agility

Abstract This article attempts to project a new focus on the exercise and tutelage of rights, reviews the categories of (representative) Modernity and projects the recuperation of collectivity in a post-modern (participative) paradigm. The starting point, in methodological terms, is the classic Roman model of process and direct democracy. And, along those lines, to contribute to the development of the post-modern participative republic foreseen in CRFB/1988, the authors identify the participative legislative, administrative and judicial processes and establish a distinction, between diffuse interests (inappropriate collectivity) and collective interest. Keywords Exercise of rights; collective tutelage; participative process; participative republic.
