Abstract Over the last 20 years, studies of Caenorhabditis elegans natural diversity have demonstrated the power of quantitative genetic approaches to reveal the evolutionary, ecological, and genetic factors that shape traits. These studies complement the use of the laboratory-adapted strain N2 and enable additional discoveries not possible using only one genetic background. In this chapter, we describe how to perform quantitative genetic studies in Caenorhabditis, with an emphasis on C. elegans. These approaches use correlations between genotype and phenotype across populations of genetically diverse individuals to discover the genetic causes of phenotypic variation. We present methods that use linkage, near-isogenic lines, association, and bulk-segregant mapping, and we describe the advantages and disadvantages of each approach. The power of C. elegans quantitative genetic mapping is best shown in the ability to connect phenotypic differences to specific genes and variants. We will present methods to narrow genomic regions to candidate genes and then tests to identify the gene or variant involved in a quantitative trait. The same features that make C. elegans a preeminent experimental model animal contribute to its exceptional value as a tool to understand natural phenotypic variation.

Introduction. Matarcha was the cathedral city of the Diocese of Zichia of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. It was a major religious and missionary center in the Northwestern Pre-Caucasus. The priests of this autocephalous archdiocese took an active part in the church life of the Byzantine Empire. In this context, among the most important sources on the history of the Byzantine Matarcha, a special place is occupied by the monuments of Byzantine sphragistics. Methods. The paper examines three Byzantine church seals of the 11th–12th centuries, discovered during the research of the Taman settlement (medieval Matarcha was the center of the diocese of Zichia of the Patriarchate of Constantinople). The owners of the seals were: deacon Michael, monk Ignatius and nun Euphemia. Analysis. The article provides information about the previously known 19 seals belonging to the church hierarchs of Zichia and other representatives of the clergy. Similar finds of seals in the Crimean urban centers (Cherson and Sughdea) are indicated. Results. The few details that relate to the ecclesiastical history of the diocese of Zichia emphasize the exceptional value of each new find of seals, and the evidence of direct contacts and established correspondence between the Orthodox clergy once again shows that, in addition to the cleric – deacon, the monastic brotherhood also played a significant role in the development of relations between the church and society. To a certain extent, this could also be facilitated by the trips of the city’s residents to pilgrimage sites, as evidenced by the brought relics, the finds of which are known.

A room in the Archaeological Museum of Villa Arbusto (Lacco Ameno, Ischia) was set up to house rocks and fossils collected by the renowned archaeologist Giorgio Buchner during his excavation activity on the Island of Ischia. The collection is witness to a long multidisciplinary research activity that saw archaeological studies at the center of volcanological, pedological and palaeoenvironmental researches, aimed at reconstructing the archaeological contexts in the complex geological dynamics of the island.  In fact, during the different phases of colonization recorded on the island, the Ischia volcanoes were very active and produced explosive and effusive eruptions, accompanied by a strong geological dynamics that included earthquakes, landslides (even gigantic ones), rapid ground uplift and strong hydrothermal activity.  In the room, the samples on display “tell” the evolution of the island and its dynamics in four windows and a chest of drawers, where there is an exposition of the products of the various eruptions, from the oldest to the most recent, sedimentary rocks and the collection of macro and microfossils found in marine sediments, displaced at variable altitudes by the rapid volcano-tectonic deformations that characterize the island.  A series of panels and monitors accompany the visitor along a path that, starting from the geological evolution of the island, passes through the relationship between humans and the volcano, the main volcanic phenomena and the reconstruction of an archaeological excavation of exceptional value, where it is possible to see the strong interaction between primary and secondary volcanic phenomena and a human settlement of the first Greek colony in the west: Pithecusae.  The exhibition was designed with the purpose of educating the visitors and the local population about the natural history of the island and its volcanoes, and their impact on the human life through time.

In Vietnam, humanity thought is a national cultural value that is highly appreciated at all times. Typical for the humanistic thought of Vietnam is the philosophy Nguyen Trai’s. To better understand of Nguyen Trai’s thoughts on humans, the article uses a comprehensive method and specific history of dialectical materialism to clarify the humanity content of philosophers around the world. At the same time, the article uses analysis, comparison, and synthesis methods to see the interference of Chinese Confucian thought with the value humanity of Viet Nam inside of humanity Nguyen Trai. From there, the paper draws great ideas of Nguyen Trai clarifies the idea of benevolence with justice, empathy, and understanding of the plight of others. Nguyen Trai humanity thought to help the suffering and unhappiness of others, even those of your enemies. However, in the history of Vietnam and the war situation, Nguyen Trai’s humanity thought has exceptional value. Humanity also means respecting and valuing the good, great, and sacred dignity in every human being. The social wisdom in managing the country is that hate the brutal forces trampling on the right to life, and happiness. That is the value for Vietnam today to build socialism.

We introduce a concept of asymptotic vector of an entire curve with linearly independent components and without common zeros and investigate a relationship between the asymptotic vectors and the Picard exceptional vectors. A non-zero vector $\vec{a}=(a_1,a_2,\ldots,a_p)\in \mathbb{C}^{p}$ is called an asymptotic vector for the entire curve $\vec{G}(z)=(g_1(z),g_2(z),\ldots,g_p(z))$ if there exists a continuous curve $L: \mathbb{R}_+\to \mathbb{C}$ given by an equation $z=z\left(t\right)$, $0\le t<\infty $, $\left|z\left(t\right)\right|<\infty $, $z\left(t\right)\to \infty $ as $t\to \infty $ such that$$\lim\limits_{\stackrel{z\to\infty}{z\in L}} \frac{\vec{G}(z)\vec{a} }{\big\|\vec{G}(z)\big\|}=\lim\limits_{t\to\infty} \frac{\vec{G}(z(t))\vec{a} }{\big\|\vec{G}(z(t))\big\|} =0,$$ where $\big\|\vec{G}(z)\big\|=\big(|g_1(z)|^2+\ldots +|g_p(z)|^2\big)^{1/2}$, $\vec{G}(z)\vec{a}=g_1(z)\cdot\bar{a}_1+g_2(z)\cdot\bar{a}_2+\ldots+g_p(z)\cdot\bar{a}_p$. A non-zero vector $\vec{a}=(a_1,a_2,\ldots,a_p)\in \mathbb{C}^{p}$ is called a Picard exceptional vector of an entire curve $\vec{G}(z)$ if the function $\vec{G}(z)\vec{a}$ has a finite number of zeros in $\left\{\left|z\right|<\infty \right\}$. We prove that any Picard exceptional vector of transcendental entire curve with linearly independent com\-po\-nents and without common zeros is an asymptotic vector. Here we de\-mon\-stra\-te that the exceptional vectors in the sense of Borel or Nevanlina and, moreover, in the sense of Valiron do not have to be asymptotic. For this goal we use an example of meromorphic function of finite positive order, for which $\infty $ is no asymptotic value, but it is the Nevanlinna exceptional value. This function is constructed in known Goldberg and Ostrovskii's monograph``Value Distribution of Meromorphic Functions''.Other our result describes sufficient conditions providing that some vectors are asymptotic for transcendental entire curve of finite order with linearly independent components and without common zeros. In this result, we require that the order of the Nevanlinna counting function for this curve and for each such a vector is less than order of the curve. At the end of paper we formulate three unsolved problems concerning asymptotic vectors of entire curve.

This article reviews the Yakut ritual dance called “Pattern” which is connected to archaic funeral rite and to the concepts of life and death intrinsic to Yakut culture. The purpose of this article is to find in this dance symbolic and image-bearing elements indicating major concepts in the Yakut consciousness — concepts of life and death; to show the exceptional value and significance of “life” constant in ethnos consciousness; to address the Yakut ritual dance “Pattern” as one of the ways to display life in dance images; and, analysing the meaning of dance structure and choreography, to demonstrate transformation of “death” into a new quality, a symbol of “life”. The present study reveals the meaning of ritual movements by which death “changes into” life. The methodological basis of the article consists of the analysis of bibliographic sources on Yakut ritual dance. The content and meaning of the dance movements are identical to the worldviews of the ancient Turkish people and their concepts of life and death.

The single-mindedness of this study is to find the key factors prompting the Students Organization Improvement and explore the causal relationships between perspectives (P) and criteria (C). This case study used Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method used for making decisions and analyses to forecast future scenarios. The results found that the DEMATEL include six main perspectives and eighteen criteria were extracted and then validated by fifteen experts. Therefore, the most critical evaluation perspective with the most exceptional value was 11.4074, although Availability (P4) was the least essential perspective with the smallest value 7.0138. Regarding value, the prioritization of the importance of four evaluation perspectives numbered from perspectives P1 to perspectives P4. Finally, the proposed methods not only improve the DEMATEL methodology but also provide a valuable reference to do the best planning for Calculating the Students Organization Improvement in POLITALA.

Luxury goods are defined as conducive to pleasure and comfort and also, hard to obtain. Building on the definition by Vigneron and Johnson (2004), we posit that luxury products can – either alternatively or cumulatively – deliver personal indulgence and social esteem on consumers, aside from the functional utility of owning or experiencing a good or service that offers superior value in terms of quality, design, performance, durability and overall customer satisfaction. Hence, by providing exceptional value and overall excellence, luxury products enable consumers to satisfy both or either of their socio-psychological and functional needs (Shukla, 2012; Wiedmann et al., 2007; Hennigs et al., 2012). Customer experience is again a real time concept, experience is more of personal and internal, this concept focuses more on the points of direct and indirect interaction between customer and organisation. Knowing such points of interaction is very vital in delivering complete customer experience. The present study is conducted in the city of Ahmedabad with sample size of 520. All the major luxury goods retailers are covered under the study. Major aim the study is to understand factors determining experiential value while customer is buying luxury goods from such organised retailers.
