Abstract We present the 30 minutes cadence Kepler/K2 light curve of the Type Ia supernova (SN Ia) SN 2018agk, covering approximately one week before explosion, the full rise phase, and the decline until 40 days after peak. We additionally present ground-based observations in multiple bands within the same time range, including the 1 day cadence DECam observations within the first ∼5 days after the first light. The Kepler early light curve is fully consistent with a single power-law rise, without evidence of any bump feature. We compare SN 2018agk with a sample of other SNe Ia without early excess flux from the literature. We find that SNe Ia without excess flux have slowly evolving early colors in a narrow range (g − i ≈ −0.20 ± 0.20 mag) within the first ∼10 days. On the other hand, among SNe Ia detected with excess, SN 2017cbv and SN 2018oh tend to be bluer, while iPTF16abc’s evolution is similar to normal SNe Ia without excess in g − i. We further compare the Kepler light curve of SN 2018agk with companion-interaction models, and rule out the existence of a typical nondegenerate companion undergoing Roche lobe overflow at viewing angles smaller than 45°.

A profiling attack is a powerful variant among the noninvasive side channel attacks. In this work, we target RSA key generation relying on the binary version of the extended Euclidean algorithm for modular inverse and GCD computations. To date, this algorithm has only been exploited by simple power analysis; therefore, the countermeasures described in the literature are focused on mitigating only this kind of attack. We demonstrate that one of those countermeasures is not effective in preventing profiling attacks. The feasibility of our approach relies on the extraction of several leakage vectors from a single power trace. Moreover, because there are known relationships between the secrets and the public modulo in RSA, the uncertainty in some of the guessed secrets can be reduced by simple tests. This increases the effectiveness of the proposed attack.

Abstract Double power supplies are widely used in analog integrated circuits for the sake of power export and dynamic ranges. By contrast, single power supply and the ground line are regular in digital integrated circuits so far. In this paper, it is shown that double power supplies with cross-zero clocks help decrease the power consumption and noises in digital integrated circuits. They are firstly explained in frequency domain and then by a three-level energy system.

Abstract All Combined with the characteristics of frequent abrupt load in the field operation of tractors, and aiming at the problems of single motor energy input and large fluctuation of battery state in the energy system of pure electric tractors, a power supply structure with multiple battery packs was proposed. A dynamic model considering real-time power and load fluctuation and a multi-power cooperative input model based on fuzzy control threshold logic rule based on power fluctuation ratio are established. Matlab and Simulink are used to simulate the model and compare it with the traditional single power model. The results show that when the speed is constant ploughing, the output power of the lithium battery of the multi-power cooperative input model is effectively compensated compared with that of the single-power model under sudden load. The average fluctuation ratio of rising power decreases from 5.8% / s to 2.7% / s, which realizes “peak clipping” and “slow peak” when the current fluctuates greatly. and then made the estimation of battery state of charge (SOC) more accurate, and prolonged the battery life.

This chapter describes the development of the grounds in law for exercising the power to remove a person from the UK, from Immigration Act 1971 to Immigration Act 2014. These include people who have overstayed the limit of their leave or have breached conditions of leave or obtained leave to remain by deception, and the families of such people. The Immigration Act 2014 s 1 abolished the historic distinction between overstayers and illegal entrants and replaced a number of separate powers with a single power to remove a person who requires leave to enter or remain in the UK but does not have it. The chapter also examines the practical obstacles to removal. These are often as important to the individual as the legal ones.

For several decades development of methods for generating ultrashort pulses has been an  independent urgent scientific and technical problem. There is a constant improvement both in the methods of such pulses receiving and in methods of their use. The aim of this work was to investigate the possibility of realizing the coordinated  operation  of  two  fundamentally  different  types  of  pump  lasers for the femtosecond oscillator and amplifier based on one single-lamp laser head and to create on this basis a compact high-power femtosecond system with pulsed pumping and one power unit. The practical implementation of two types of pulsed lasers (nano- and picosecond ones operating, respectively, in Q-switch and modelock regime) on a single laser head with two active elements and one pump lamp is carried out. The required synchronization in time the pump pulse femtosecond amplifier formation and quasi-stationary region of generated pulses in the output radiation of a femtosecond Ti:sapphire is obtained. On this basis a compact, pulse pumped monoblock laser system has been developed that can generate femtosecond pulses with a duration of 50–150 fs with an energy up to 1 mJ and a high enough pulse repetition rate (up to 1 kHz which is determined by the type of laser head and pump unit used). In the developed laser system a compact scheme of a stretcher-compressor with a single common diffraction grating is used.Laser systems of this type characterized by a relatively low cost due to the use of a single power supply unit for simultaneous pumping  of  the  amplifier  and  oscillator,  as  well  as  lower  requirements for the quality of optical elements and usage conditions due to the pulse mode of operation, are quite practical and  can  be  used  both  in  scientific research  in  the  field  of  ultra-high-speed kinetic spectroscopy and nonlinear optics, as well as in numerous technical applications, particular in the precision processing of materials, as optical  simulators  of  the  action  of  heavy  charged  particles  in  testing the radiation resistance of integrated circuits and electronic modules.
