A Short story is a miniature of people's experience while the characters, plot, and setting aim to record imaginative events (Stanton, 2017). When making up story ideas, students have problems developing story facts such as plot, characters, and settings (Sayuti, 2006). This barrier emerged conflicts that were unevenly distributed across all stages of the course. The direct characterization employed in storytelling made the short stories less varied. The physical and setting depicted did not work out optimally. The advantage of using the synectic model is that it can allow students to look for and makeup concepts to describe objects through an analogy process. Augmented Reality allows users to interact with an object's interface and see it in a well-designed and attractive 3D format, so it can solve student difficulties in developing story ideas in writing short stories.

Timely removal of snow from the roof ensures the absence of ice and icicles, which contributes to the safety of roofing material and guarantees the safety of people's lives. Various mechanical methods of snow removal from pitched roofs are considered. Various devices and units for snow dumping by means of vibrations are analyzed. A useful model "device for removing snow and ice from an inclined roof"is presented. The device contains an electric motor, a transmission in the form of a rotating shaft with an eccentric placed in the housing on bearings. At least one sole is attached to the body in the form of a plate for fastening the body to the crate or rafters. The motor is powered by a battery or charger. Tests of the device, carried out first on model, and then real roofs, showed that vibrations can be successfully used for snow removal from pitched roofs. The most rapid removal of snow occurs from the roofs with metal, and with painted profiled faster than galvanized. Rough roofs (slate, Ondulin) snow melts more slowly, and with oculina faster due to the smaller mass per square meter of roofing material and more amplitudoi its vibration. It is established that it is most effective to fix the device with the axis of rotation parallel to the rafters and to the Board of the crate to which the roofing material is sewn. Useful model "device for removing snow and ice from a sloping roof" has proven to be reliable in operation, easy to manufacture, mobile and efficient. The device allows you to clean the snow without leaving the person on the roof.

In learning science, it is necessary to have a learning model that can integrate scientific literacy skills. This study aimed to develop discovery learning-based module to improve students’ scientific literacy. We used R & D research that adapts the 4-D model device development procedure, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Product assessment was carried out after revision stage I by 3 media experts, 3 material experts, and 1 SMA YPPK Taruna Bakti teacher. To determine student responses, the product was tested for feasibility and readability on 5 X grade students of SMA YPPK Taruna Bakti through a limited trial. The product was revised and tested again through a broad trial on 16 students. The revision through experts’ comments and students’ initial responses has affected the readability, feasibility, and usability of developed Newton’s Law module. There were no students who have high scientific literacy. Students who have low scientific literacy were 13 and students who have moderate scientific literacy were 3. It can be said that the module cannot significantly improve students’ scientific literacy because of online learning environment. Keywords: Discovery learning, Modul, Newton’s Law, Scientific literacy

Background and Aim: Ultrasonographic fetal sexing is of utmost economic importance for horse breeders. Relatively, a few studies have been conducted to determine fetal sex in mare using transrectal Doppler ultrasound. This study aimed to compare two sexing techniques, two-dimensional (2D) mode and color Doppler ultrasonography. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on 39 mares under field conditions. Examinations were performed using the ultrasonic model device (Medison SonoAce Pico, South Korea), equipped with real-time 3-7 MHz convex multifrequency transducer. Fetal sex diagnosis was carried out in two periods of pregnancy, early period (57-80 days of gestation) and late period (80-150 days of gestation). Results: No difference (p=0.4) was observed between the efficiency of the 2D mode and Doppler ultrasound in sex determination with the respective frequency of 74% and 85%. The best time to sex the early fetus was between 57 and 70 days of gestation and between 90 and 120 days for the older fetus. Conclusion: The accuracy of sex determination can be increased using Doppler mode compared to 2D mode, especially in the early period between 57 and 70 days, in male more than female sex.

Current modulation and rectification is an important subject of electronics as well as spintronics. In this paper, an efficient rectifying mesoscopic device is introduced. The device is a two terminal device on the 2D plane of electron gas. The lateral contacts are half-metal ferromagnetic with antiparallel magnetizations and the central channel region is taken as ferromagnetic or normal in the presence of an applied magnetic field. The device functionality is based on the modification of spin-current by tuning the strength of the magnetic field or equivalently by the exchange coupling of the channel to the substrate. The result is that the (spin-) current depends on the polarity of the bias voltage. Converting an alternating bias voltage to direct current is the main achievement of this model device with an additional profit of rectified spin-current. We analyze the results in terms of the spin-dependent barrier in the channel. Detecting the strength of the magnetic field by spin polarization is also suggested.
