The study aimed to identify the level of availability of action research standards among senior teachers to improve educational practices in Oman's schools. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the descriptive curriculum, and after verifying the validity and stability of the tool was applied to a sample of (55) teachers and senior teachers, the results of the study revealed that the degree of availability of action research standards among teachers in basic education schools in Oman came with an average percentage (37.33), and that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α =0.05) between average availability of action research criteria attributable to the sex variable. The researchers recommended that teachers should be trained in how to interpret the results of the study and discuss them, spreading the culture of action research in the field of education.

Several studies have investigated the association of the Parkinson’s disease (PD) polygenic risk score (PRS) with several aspects of well-established PD. We sought to evaluate the association of PRS with the prodromal stage of PD. We calculated PRS in a longitudinal sample (n = 1120) of community dwelling individuals ≥ 65 years from the HELIAD (The Hellenic Longitudinal Investigation of Aging and Diet) study in order to evaluate the association of this score with the probability of prodromal PD or any of the established risk and prodromal markers in MDS research criteria, using regression multi-adjusted models. Increases in PRS estimated from GWAS summary statistics’ ninety top SNPS with p < 5 × 10–8 was associated with increased odds of having probable/possible prodromal PD (i.e., ≥ 30% probability, OR = 1.033, 95%CI: 1.009–1.057 p = 0.006). From the prodromal PD risk markers, significant association was found between PRS and global cognitive deficit exclusively (p = 0.003). To our knowledge, our study is the first population based study investigating the association between PRS scores and prodromal markers of Parkinson’s disease. Our results suggest a strong relationship between the accumulation of many common genetic variants, as measured by PRS, and cognitive deficits.

The aim of this study is to identify publications in 21 century pandemic situation by coronavirus disease (COVID-19) related to augmented reality (AR) and to describe the characteristics of those studies. The Google Scholar database was searched for publications on AR in COVID-19 research criteria between 2019 and 2021. Bibliographic coupling of the details and co-occurrences of the publication of the author keywords were examined for the selected publications. A total of 2907 publications were selected following the research criteria between 2019 and 2021. The results showed that among the most researched researchers in AR study are the names of authors with color highlights from different countries. Background: Globally, the education of students at primary and secondary schools has been severely disrupted by the implementation of school closures to reduce the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The effectiveness of school closures in reducing transmission of COVID-19 and the impact of re-opening schools are unclear. Methods: Research criteria for this rapid review included empirical studies, published or pre-published worldwide before January 25, 2021, that assessed the effectiveness of school closures in reducing the spread of COVID-19 and the impact of school re-openings on COVID-19 transmission. Results: Twenty-four studies on the impact of school closures and re-openings on COVID-19 transmission were identified through the seven databases that were searched. Overall the evidence from these studies was mixed and varied due to several factors such as the time of implementation of public health measures, research design of included studies and variability among the levels of schooling examined. Conclusion: Preliminary findings suggest that school closures have limited impact on reducing COVID-19 transmission, with other non-pharmaceutical interventions considered much more effective. However, due to the limitations of the studies, further research is needed to support the use of this public health measure in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Millenials, also known as Generation Y, are a demographic cohort who were born between early 1980’s and late 1990’s and are reportedly to be active users of FinTech. At the same time, recent research documents the problems Millenials are prone to inadequate financial knowledge, an unsatisfactory current financial situation, and misuse of retirement accounts. The last segment is particularly very important since life expectancy today is rising, while pension and social welfare systems are being strained. In this paper we examine the level of financial literacy among millennial students who at the same time active users of financial technology. The data was collected via questionnaire distribution to International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) students in the campus. From all collected responses 217 which matches the research criteria such as students who belong to Millennial generation were selected for analysis. To measure financial literacy level, we use the “Big Three” method designed by Lusardi and Mitchell (2011). In our study where respondents are university students, findings suggest that 47% out of all 217 respondents has a satisfactory level of financial literacy. The level of financial literacy is higher among post-graduate students and engineering students. Mobile payment users comprise 64% of respondents and only 24% among them is financially literate. It is also noteworthy that 93% of respondents do not have a retirement account. These findings are very important since the study is conducted in a university environment where 100% of the respondents are involved in higher education. It is crucial to teach finance subjects in all faculties and there is a dire need to establish an institution which will regularly conduct a nationwide survey to access the level of financial literacy and financial behaviour of youth to avoid the financial collapse of Generation Y.
