Abstract Although the all-inorganic perovskite CsPbI3 exhibits superior thermal- and photo-stability compared with organic-inorganic perovskites, formation of the photoactive α-phase requires sintering at approximately 320 oC. Herein, we report the partial substitution of Ge2+ ions for Pb2+ as a means of tuning the stability of the material and enabling α-phase formation at 90 oC.

A microbial transglutaminase-induced cross-linked sodium caseinate (MSC) was used to stabilize zein nanoparticles, and the study was to investigate whether zein-MSC nanoparticles (zein-MSC NPs) can be used as an encapsulation carrier for resveratrol. A group of resveratrol-loaded zein-MSC nanoparticles (Res-zein-MSC NPs) with varying zein to Res mass ratios was first prepared. The particle sizes and zeta-potentials were in the ranges from 215.00 to 225.00 nm and from −29.00 to −31.00 mV. The encapsulation efficiency (EE) of Res was also influenced by the zein to Res mass ratio, and the encapsulated Res existed in an amorphous form. The major interactions between Res and zein-MSC NPs were hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interaction. Furthermore, compared with free Res, the photo-stability and bioaccessibility of Res-zein-MSC NPs were significantly improved. The cellular studies also showed that Res-zein-MSC NPs exhibited lower cytotoxicity and desirable anti-inflammatory activity.

In this study, 2-{[(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)methyl]amino}-2-oxoethyl 2-methylprop-2-enoate (BMAOME) monomer was synthesized, and copolymers were prepared with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA). Structural characterizations of the compounds were performed using FTIR, 1H-, and 13C-NMR techniques. Monomer reactivity ratio values were calculated by Finemann–Ross (FR) and Kelen–Tudos (KT) methods. The Tg value of the polymers was determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and their thermal stability was determined by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The molecular weights (w and n) and polydispersity index of the polymers were determined by gel permeation chromatography. The Ea value of thermal decomposition was determined by using the Ozawa and Kissinger methods. The photo-stability of the copolymers was investigated. Furthermore, the photo-stability of the copolymers and the biological activity of polymers against different types of bacteria and fungi were investigated.

Abstract 1,8-naphthalimide (NI) dyes are one class of important organic luminophores with good photo-stability, high fluorescent quantum yields and broad emission color-tunability, which are widely used in biological and chemical fields. However, they exhibit bad ACQ property, which heavily limits their application in real word. Contrary to ACQ, tetraphenylethene (TPE) is an AIE luminogen. To eliminate the ACQ effect of NI, TPE was used as core and NI chromophores was used as peripheries to obtain a new dye TPEDNI. TPEDNI dye demonstrates typical aggregation-enhanced emission (AEE) characteristic with high fluorescence Φ>F, solid up to 100% in the film state, which is 24 times of that for its THF solution. Besides, TPEDNI exhibits marked solvatochromism, and the emission peak red-shifts from 505 nm in hexane to 610 nm in acetonitrile. TPENI also displays evident intramolecular charge transfer property in THF/water mixtures
