The common bean is a valuable food source in the human diet. Leklek is a local variety of common bean (Phaseolus sp.) widely grown in Mersin's Gülnar district, but little is known about this variety. In the present study, bacterial species from root nodules of this common bean variety were identified by PCR-amplified 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) gene and 16S-23S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) region and sequencing. The partial 16S rRNA gene and 16S-23S rRNA ITS region sequences were submitted to the NCBI database (accession numbers MT967369, MT968518, respectively). Amplified sequences were used to construct a phylogenetic tree. Phylogenetic analysis based on the identified sequences showed that the isolate belonged to the genus Microbacterium and was closely related to Microbacterium paraoxydans. The findings presented here will provide a clue for understanding this bacterium's role in nodule formation in Phaseolus sp. (variety Leklek).

Abstract In this study, the isolation of lactic acid bacteria were carried out from approximately one hundred white cheese samples collected from different regions of Turkey. Subsequently, phenotypic and genotypic characterization of the isolates were performed. Finally, biotechnological enzyme and bacteriocin production potentials of the isolates were determined. As a result of the analysis, a total of fourty one bacteria were isolated and seventeen of them were found to be different species. The isolates generally grew at 4–6 pH values, 0–8% NaCl and 30–40 oC. Genomic fingerprint profiles of the isolates were determined by using BOX-PCR. According to 16S rRNA sequence results, test strains belong to Lentilactobacillus kefiri, Levilactobacillus brevis, Lacticaseibacillus casei, Lacticaseibacillus paracasei, Pediococcus lolii, Staphylococcus haemolyticus, Lysnibacillus sinduriensis, P. parvulus, Lactiplantibacillus paraplantarum, Staphylococcus hominis, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum, Enterococcus faecium, Micrococcus yunnanensis, Microbacterium paraoxydans and Micrococcus aloeverae species. Since the isolate coded MA56 is 96.41% similar to Lentilactobacillus buchneri, it is thought to be a new species. Also MA19, MA25, MA43 and MA47 were determined to have multi-enzyme production potential. MA43 was found to be the only isolate producing bacteriocin.

Rhizobacteria was group of bacteria that colonize roots, affect growth and control plant pathogensBased on the results of previous studies, 6 isolates have the best ability to control G. boninense in oil palm seedlings. To determine the ability of these isolates, characterization needs to be done. This study aims to identify the molecular isolates of selected rhizobacteria indigenous that act as biocontrol agents G. boninense. Molecular identification of selected rhizobacteria isolates using the 16S rRNA gene. The results showed that All RBI isolates were identified as different species of Bacillus paramycoides strain MCCC (RZ1A 2.1), Microbacterium paraoxydans strain CF36 (RZ2B 1.1), Bacillus albus strain MCCC 1A02146 (RZ2C 2.1), Bacillus cereus strain JCM 2152 (RZ2E 2.1), Serratia marcescens strain NBRC 102204 (RZ2E 1.2), Bacillus cereus ATCC 14579 (RZ1E 2.1).

This study aimed to isolate a bacterial consortium that capable of decomposing PAHs. Three halo-tolerant bacterial strains of Microbacterium paraoxydans B3F (S1), Stenotrophomonas N3 (S2), and Citrobacter NB2 (S3) were isolated from bovine manure. The isolate Microbacterium paraoxydans B3F showed the least resistance to salinity and growth not observed at 2 and 2.5% of NaCl, while isolate Citrobacter NB2 indicated growth in all salinity levels. The PHE biodegradation was more efficient in bacterial consortium compared to pure culture. At the end of the 35th day, the removal efficiency of PHE with an initial concentration of 100 mg/kg for seed volumes of 2, 10, and 20 mL was 33%, 50%, 52%, respectively. The TPHs biodegradation efficiencies at different soil/water ratios of 25%, 50% and 100% were 12%, 28.7 % and 60.8%, respectively. Three halo-tolerant bacteria were isolated from Bovine manure were efficiently used for bioremediation of phenanthrene.

Abstract In Hungary, which is famous for its thermal baths, according to the regulations, waters are investigated in hygienic aspects with standard cultivation methods. In the present study, two thermal baths were investigated (the well and three different pool waters in both) using cultivation methods, taxon-specific polymerase chain reactions (PCRs), multiplex PCRs and next-generation amplicon sequencing. Mainly members of the natural microbial community of the well waters and bacteria originating from the environment were detected but several opportunistic pathogenic taxa, e.g., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, P. stutzeri, Acinetobacter johnsoni, Acinetobacter baumanni, Moraxella osloensis, Microbacterium paraoxydans, Legionella spp., Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and Staphylococcus aureus were revealed by the applied methods. Pools with charging-unloading operation had higher microscopic cell counts, colony-forming unit (CFU) counts, number of cocci, P. aeruginosa and S. aureus compared to the recirculation systems. Bacteria originating from human sources (e.g., skin) were identified in the pool waters with less than 1% relative abundance, and their presence was sporadic in the pools. Comparing the microbiological quality of the pools based on the first sampling time and the following four months' period it was revealed that recirculation operation type has better water quality than the charging-unloading pool operation from a hygienic point of view.
