Currently, obesity leads to health problems, including type 2 diabetes. These two diseases are closely linked. Despite the spectacular development of the synthesis of active ingredients and chemotherapy, we have not ceased to be interested in medicinal and aromatic plants, their effects, indications, and methods of use. Thus, we see that the number of herbal medicine or plant substances is growing in a very important way. The present study was carried out on the chemical structures of 16 plants, whose existence could help reduce obesity and its complications. Through molecular docking methods, ADMET, and molecular dynamics. Due to the interaction, and good stability, we have found that quercetin may have the obesity treatment.

This article summarizes the literature data and the results of our own studies on the search for antiviral compounds based on terpenoids, flavonoids, alkaloids. New bimolecular and ketoamide derivatives based on sesquiterpene γ-lactones arglabin, grossheimin and α-santonin were synthesized in quantitative yields up to 80%. The molecular docking method was used to study the “structure-activity” relationship of natural compounds and their derivatives in relation to SARS-Cov-2. The results obtained in silico demonstrated that sesquiterpene γ-lactones and their derivatives inhibit the SARS-Cov-2 spike protein and proteases, as well as the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2. The identified molecules can be considered as candidates for the development of new drugs with antiviral activity on their basis.

The process extraction of ecdysterone from the aerial parts of Silene brahuica was studied. On the basis results research, the following extraction conditions were established: extractant – 90% ethanol, particle size of raw material – no more than 5 mm and process temperature – 20–30 °C. A five-fold extraction of ecdysterone from the aerial parts of Silene brahuica is proposed. To purify of the extract, a sequential liquid-liquid extraction is proposed, according to which the concentrated extract is diluted with water and treated three times with extraction petrol to remove hydrophobic impurities, then extracted six times with butanol to remove hydrophilic impurities. For effective drying of the silekbin substance, a filler was used, as which microcrystalline cellulose was selected in a mass ratio of 1 : 2 to the dry residue of the dried water solution. The technology of obtaining the substance of the adaptogenic and immunostimulating drug "Silekbin" from the aerial parts of Silene brahuica, which is tested on semi-industrial installations of the Pilot production of the Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, has been developed.

Vegetable feed additive “Biostrong 510” based on essential oils and plant substances contains active substances exclusively of vegetable origin, which have a more intense eff ect on the animal’s body. The mechanism of action is based on the synergism of several plant substances containing active substances that, when combined, aff ect a certain category of animals. The additive contains essential oils, herbal plants, and seasonings such as anise oil, thyme oil, gentian powder, chili paprika powder, and quillaya extract. The purpose of the research was to determine the feasibility and eff ectiveness of fortifi cation of compound feed with the vegetable feed additive based on essential oils and vegetable substances to increase meat productivity and meat quality. In order to study the eff ectiveness of feeding vegetable feed additive in compound feed for broiler chickens under the conditions of LLC “Akashevskaya poultry Farm” in the Republic of Mari El, a scientifi c and economic experiment has been carried out. Experiments have been performed on broiler chickens of the cross Cobb-500 from the daily to 40-day age of the birds. The eff ect of the vegetable feed additive “Biostrong 510” based on essential oils and vegetable substances on meat productivity and nutritional value of broiler chicken meat has been studied in the paper. The level of feeding and the quality of the feed consumed by poultry has a big infl uence on meat productivity. The use of our selected vegetable feed additive based on essential oils and vegetable substances increase the slaughter weight by 9,0–13,7 %, the slaughter yield by 2–5 %, the amount of muscle tissue and meat qualities of carcasses. The best results have been obtained by including the vegetable feed additive based on essential oils and plant substances in the amount of 0,015 % of the dry substance of the feed.

The renewable energy for the production of syngas (synthetic gas) by gasification of biomass has specific features and objectives. The present chapter aims to describe the specific features of renewable energy for the production of syngas by gasification of biomass. The specific objective refers to the study of the equipment for the production of synthetic gaseous fuels (syngas) by gasification of biomass. The “biomass” term can be defined generically as the biodegradable part of agricultural products, residues and waste, gathering both animal and plant substances, wood industry, and also the biodegradable component of urban and industrial waste. Biomass sources are the most found renewable resources on Earth, also including all the organic components resulted from the organism's metabolic process, being the first resource of energy man has used, since the discovery of fire.

Phytoestrogens are the plant substances, which are structurally and functionally similar to steroids and produce estrogenic effects. It is well established that phytoestrogens when administered orally caused remarkable effects on the reproductive organs in females. It is also known that female rats, which consume more phytoestrogen for longer period, suffer from sterility. In the present study, efforts have been made to assess the effect of coumestrol on reproductive organs when exposed in uteroin mother and its effects on the development of postnatal pups. The administration of coumestrol during different days of pregnancy induced remarkable changes in the histological features of ovary of female rats of F1generation even at the age of 6 months.

Of the diseases caused by the use of food or other plant substances, latirism is one of the most interesting, in terms of the clarity of the clinical picture, the purity of the nervous phenomena and the comparative simplicity and stereotypicality of symptomatology. This disease is far from uncommon in some exotic countries, in former times and in Europe, it required quite a few sacrifices, but nowadays it is relatively rarely observed in our latitudes, for all this, many questions, especially regarding its pathogenesis and pathological anatomy, are still awaiting clarification
