Despite a decrease in the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in the Russian Federation in recent years, among the newly diagnosed patients there remains a significant proportion of patients with bacterial excretion and destructive pulmonary tuberculosis. In patients with destructive pulmonary tuberculosis, surgical treatment is often the only possible method for saving lives. We studied the results of extrapleural posterosuperior thoracoplasty in 42 patients with destructive pulmonary tuberculosis. The comparison group consisted of 30 patients who received medicamentous therapy. The mortality rate for 3 years of follow-up in the conservative treatment group was 36.7%, in the surgical treatment group it was 23.8%, p = 0.237. Among patients with more than 2 years of disease experience, mortality was 45% in the main group, 88% in the comparison group, p = 0.070. In the absence of drug resistance, mortality in the main group was 4%, that in the comparison group – 14.2%, p = 0.283. Mortality in individuals with normal body weight was lower in the group of patients who underwent thoracoplasty than in the comparison group: 17.6% vs. 33.3% (p = 0.202). Among those who did not achieve sputum negative reaction, mortality was lower, and passing to the 3rd group of dispensary care was more common in the surgical treatment group – 41.7% vs. 71.4% (p = 0.077) and 33.3% vs. 21.4% (p = 0.426). Among patients with drug resistance or low body weight or unachieved sputum negative reaction, mortality rates were comparable in both groups. Thus, thoracoplasty, in comparison with conservative therapy, makes it possible to improve treatment results in patients regardless of the length of the disease in groups with Mycobacterium tuberculosis sensitive process, with normal body weight, with preservation of elimination of bacilli. The effectiveness of thoracoplasty decreases in patients with an increase in the disease duration.

One of the most significant intangible organisational assets is reputation. It's a complicated phenomenon that needs to be handled carefully. In fact, it has been proven that an organization's reputation is a prerequisite for individual stakeholders' willingness to participate in a relationship with it. This essay seeks to clarify the communication tactics that should be utilised to restore an organization's reputation that has been harmed by a problem. A case study of postal currier services was used to demonstrate how a problem might lead to a negative reaction from stakeholders. In maintaining an organization's reputation, the essay stated that addressing the issue immediately, developing inclusivity among employees, and organisational commitment as a corporate citizen are all vital.

The advancement of technology has been accompanied by the rise of data breaches and privacy concerns. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI)-based virtual assistants into society has led to smart homes that enable users to complete commands instantly. This project uses the diffusion of innovation theory to explain why consumers adopt the technology. A thematic analysis was conducted on Twitter news stories, and open coding showed a strong negative reaction to the stories, with users concluding that privacy was too essential to purchase a virtual assistant for their home. These findings have implications for the future rate of adoption of AI and virtual assistant technology.

Schollz (D. m. W. No. 31, 29), on the basis of his many years of experience in the treatment of gonorrhea, indicates that Protargol and Albargin remain the best drugs to this day, because they act not only in a killing manner on gonococci, but also exert their influence on mucous membrane in the sense of its impregnation. In cases where gonococci sit deep in tissues (prostata, epididymis, ovaries), the author recommends using protein therapy. In stubborn cases, it is recommended to "Fieberbehandlung" with hot baths or inoculation with malaria. To establish the fact that gonorrhea has been cured, the author uses microscopic examination after a series of provocations, and also examines the patient with the help of cultures. An excellent means for establishing the cure of gonorrhea is the B.-G. reaction, and a negative reaction that occurred after the previous positive one is more likely to speak for a cure, while a persistent positive reaction indicates the need for a series of repeated microscopic and bacteriological studies.

A recent study by Thomsen and Andreasen (2019) has induced a negative reaction to the usefulness of strontium isotope proveniencing. Although there are higher strontium isotope values in the landscape of Denmark, Thomsen and Andreasen are not correct about the impact of this finding on studies of prehistoric mobility. Several case studies identify such “hotspots” in the landscape and help evaluate their consequences for identifying non-local individuals. In sum, (1) there are small areas of higher strontium isotope values in Denmark, (2) surface water is not a reliable proxy for baseline information on local strontium isotope sources, and (3) strontium isotope proveniencing remains a very useful method for identifying non-local individuals.

Leibniz upholds immortalism in its extreme form. Nothing ever really dies, for animals (and not only their souls) are indestructible except by God’s power. Eighteenth-century philosophers described Leibniz’s doctrine as exilium mortis or “the banishment of death”, which most of them rejected as an implausible, ridiculous, or even scandalous notion. In order to understand this negative reaction, this chapter reconstructs the German debate among Leibniz’s contemporaries and immediate posterity on such issues as: Is the banishment of death a novelty or just an updated version of some traditional belief? How can the living body preserve its own identity through the dramatic transformations caused by death? On the other hand, the general hostility that surrounded the banishment-of-death doctrine suggests that the denial of natural mortality was actually perceived as a threat to Christian dogma – which challenges the naive assumption that immortalist claims are mere expression of a philosopher’s pious concerns.

The aim of this study was discuss to role of religious tentions in afsharid - ottoman relations. The method of this research is historical in which researchers seek past works and documents to meet the objectives of the research. In historical studies, the researcher should seek to answer the ambiguities by referring to the documents and studying them and analyzing and interpreting them accurately. The results showed documents and correspondences left from this period indicate that Sultan Mahmoud II refused to accept these suggestions despite tendency to settle disputes and accept religious suggestions of Nader Shah due to avoidance of negative reaction of Ottoman scholars and subjects and their opposition to these suggestions and expressed his inability to assume such heavy responsibility in his letter to Nader Shah by mentioning the presence of lawful and reasonable prohibitions and excuses.

Today, the advent of social media has provided a platform for expressing opinions regarding legislation and public schemes. One such burning legislation introduced in India is the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and its impact on the National Citizenship Register (NRC) and, subsequently, on the National Population Register (NPR). This study examines and determines the opinions expressed on social media regarding the act through a Twitter analysis approach that extracts nearly 18,000 tweets during 10 days of introducing the scheme. The analysis revealed that the opinion was neutral but tended to a more negative reaction. Consequently, recommendations on improving public perception about the scheme by suitable for interpreting the Act to the public are provided in the paper.

Abstract Introduction: Patient preferences for long-acting antiretroviral therapies (LA-ART) should inform development of regimens with optimal adherence and acceptability. We describe a systematic process used to identify attributes and levels for a discrete choice experiment (DCE) designed to elicit preferences for potential LA-ART options in the US. Methods: Our approach was conducted in four stages: data collection, data reduction, removing inappropriate attributes, and optimizing wording. We started with 8 attributes defining potential LA-ART products based on existing literature and knowledge of products in development. We conducted 12 key informant interviews with experts in HIV treatment. The list of attributes, the set of plausible levels for each attribute, and restrictions on combinations of attribute levels were updated iteratively. Results: Despite uncertainty about which products will become available, key informant discussions converged on 4 delivery modes (infusions and patches were not considered immediately feasible) and 6 additional attributes. Treatment effectiveness and frequency of clinical monitoring were dropped. Oral lead-in therapy was split into two attributes: pre-treatment time undetectable and pre-treatment negative reaction testing. We omitted product-specific systemic and local side effects. In addition to mode, the final set of attributes included: frequency of dosing; location of treatment; pain; pre-treatment time undetectable; pre-treatment negative reaction testing; and late-dose leeway. Conclusions: A systematic process successfully captured elements that are both feasible and relevant to evaluating the acceptability of potential LA-ART alternatives to patients.

The article discusses certain issues related to the participation of attesting witnesses during investigative actions, their procedural status and their role in ensuring the reliability of evidence obtained in the course of criminal proceedings. The negative reaction of the persons invited as attesting witnesses is voiced. The problems of ensuring compliance with the requirements of the law regarding their disinterest in the case and establishing independence from the criminal prosecution authorities are investigated. It is noted that the investigating body cannot reliably verify that the invited citizens are not interested in the outcome of the case. It is proposed to involve attesting witnesses at the discretion of the person conducting the criminal proceedings. Such discretion may arise if there is an assumption about the absence of an objective possibility of perceiving information during the production of investigative actions.
