To ensure uninterrupted railway communication with the Republic of Crimea, within the framework of the largest national infrastructure project, the construction of a transport crossing through the Kerch Strait was completed in 2018, which also includes a railway component. The article considers the regulatory legal grounds for the use of modern stationary inspection and screening complexes that allow for the inspection of freight trains plying on the railway of the transport passage through the Kerch Strait. The uniqueness of the legal regime for the protection of this structure is complemented by the use of the latest technical means of ensuring transport security to prevent the commission of unlawful encroachments in the activities of the transport complex, including stationary inspection railway complexes. The principle of operation of inspection complexes, which is based on the physical method of introscopy, is shown, and their technical characteristics are given. The use of inspection railway complexes allows the transport security forces to identify objects and substances that are prohibited or restricted for movement into the transport security zone, practically without interfering with the technological processes of freight traffic, since the scanning of wagons is carried out while the passage is moving. Modern installations at a high level reliably protect the Crimean bridge from illegal encroachments.

Štore Steel Ltd. is one of the largest flat spring steel producers in Europe. There are two production lines after rolling – one for flat bars and the other for round bars. The flat bars production generally consists of visual examination, straightening and cutting operation. In addition, heat treatment or magnetic particle testing could be conducted. On the other hand, the round bars production consists generally of straightening, automatic control line control, chamfering and cutting. In addition, heat treatment is possible. For manipulation of the material in the rolling plant, the electric transporter and several cassettes are used. In the paper path planning and production storage optimization (i.e. storage spaces for cassettes) were conducted using genetic algorithm. The production storage is actually the space between main transport passage and individual operations. In the research the universal system using CAD geometry is presented where AutoCAD environment and in-house developed AutoLISP system were used. The production storage – storage spaces for cassettes (location and orientation) with corresponding electric transporter trajectories are represented as CAD objects and thus form individual solution/organism. The organisms undergo simulated evolution. The results of the evolution are compared with actual production storage in the steel plant.

Defining the degree of risk of maritime transport nodes is an important basis for studying the security status of maritime transport passages. However, some important straits or canals are key nodes in the maritime transport passage, and their system security conditions are affected by the interaction of uncertainty risk factors. This study addresses the issue of the security status of transport nodes from the perspective of the characteristics of influencing factors. With a focus on catastrophes and the mutual coupling characteristics of the factors that influence the security of maritime transport nodes, a model based on principal component analysis (PCA) and catastrophe theory (CT) is constructed, and the coupled risk degree of the key nodes in Chinese maritime transportation is empirically analysed. The results show that the Taiwan Strait has the lowest risk degree and that the Windward Strait has the highest risk degree among the key nodes in Chinese maritime transport. From the perspective of the security status of these key nodes, most nodes are currently in a stable and safe state.

Abstract The article is dedicated to the multi agent approach for urban public transport dispatch system to organize priority transfer management, based on interaction with traffic lights control system. The article deals with the issue of urban passenger transport priority transfer of signalized intersections. Priority transfer management algorithm developed by the authors based on interaction of traffic lights control and public transport dispatch systems. The authors considered the role of agents in interaction process of traffic lights control and public transport dispatch systems for implementation of the buses priority passage. Criterion for decision making taking into account savings and loses of time of all participants of traffic at the intersection. The results of simulation modelling of priority public transport passage a signalized intersection are presented

Abstract Based on 16 years of Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) data and NCEP Climate Forecast System Reanalysis data, the most intense convective systems (ICSs) along the southern Himalayan front (SHF) are studied using the multivariate techniques of principal component analysis in T mode and k-means cluster analysis. Three clusters, classified according to the near-surface fields of wind, specific humidity, convective available potential energy, and convective inhibition, correspond to the premonsoon (March–May), the establishment of the monsoon (late May–early June), and the Indian summer monsoon itself (June–September), respectively. The location of ICSs along the SHF is closely related to the establishment of the transport passage from the eastern SHF to the northwestern SHF along the Himalayas. During the premonsoon, the southwesterly wind is weak and moist air from the Bay of Bengal is transported to the eastern SHF, where ICSs are densely distributed. The oceanic southwesterly wind is enhanced and the transport passage extends to the central SHF during the monsoon establishment period, when ICSs distribute over the whole SHF homogeneously. The southwesterly wind is the strongest and the transport passage extends to the westernmost SHF after the monsoon is established, when ICSs mainly concentrate over the concave indentation region. Backward trajectory analysis confirms that, besides the local environment, the moisture transport from the Arabian Sea (17%) and the Bay of Bengal (9%) are two important long-range transport pathways for the summer monsoon ICSs at the western end of the SHF.

The leading type of nature use in Crimea is recreation. In this article, the peninsula is considered as a tourist region, identified are its strengths and weaknesses, opportunities for its development and threats it is facing. Many of them are associated with joining the peninsula to Russia in March 2014 and a variety of consequences of this event. During the last year significantly decreased the number of tourists and accessibility of the peninsula, which dramatically increases the urgency of the construction of a transport crossing in Kerch. The article provides recommendations for the development of new types of tourism, which, along with the improvement of relations with Ukraine and the transport passage allow to increase the number of tourists. This is important both for the economy of the Crimea as a whole, and for the majority of its inhabitants. The paper also proposes to carry out a redistribution of tourist flows and to actively pursue the advertising campaign of the Crimea as a tourist region in the information space of the Russian Federation. It can be used by patriotic sentiments that have taken place in the country after joining the Crimea. The popularity of the peninsula could rise as a result of the depreciation of the Russian ruble, which significantly changes the situation on the market of tourist services. It is proposed to consider the coast of the Crimea as a set of natural and natural-social system that provides new opportunities for environmental management in the coastal zone. In particular, this approach allows identifying the most important tourist potential areas of the territory, as well as spatial boundaries of human impact. In recent years, the share of organized tourist sharply increased and the geography of tourism greatly changed. It should be remembered that for Crimean are important both organized and unorganized holiday makers.
