Abstract: Socioeconomics is the field of study that examines social and economic factors to better understand how the combination of both influences something. Here is the report on the socioeconomic status of a small village which is situated on a hill near tourist spot Sahstaradhara. Socioeconomic study of villages is mainly for understanding the present condition of villages regarding the lifestyle, education status, health status, water hazards, food scarcity and overall development of rural areas. People of such areas are totally dependent on their shops which are in Sahastradhara. Apart from this, the people of the village are little engaged in primary activites like agriculture and forestry. Zimbabwe has been affected by numerous floods-related disasters in the recent past. These disasters often left rural communities in difficult socioeconomic situations. Floods are among the major water-related hazards and natural disasters worldwide. They are associated with excess rainfall, resulting in river overflow due to climate change . Developing countries constitute a large number of losses caused by water hazards. Thereby, in these countries, the vulnerabilities of households that depend on rain fed agriculture and livestock production for their livelihoods increases. This review paper seeks to establish the association between anthropogenic flash floods and climate change and unearth the impacts; vulnerabilities and adaptation options associated with anthropogenic flash floods in rural Zimbabwe. The study found that numerous anthropogenic activities perpetuate an increase in flood risk. These include littering, river or dam regulation measures, intensified land use and emissions of greenhouse gases, which subsequently result in global climate change. The impacts of flash floods established in the study include drought, food insecurity, displacements, malnutrition and severe effects on subsistence economy. The study concluded that even though most rural communities in Zimbabwe are vulnerable to the effects of floods, they have devised numerous diverse adaptation strategies to cope with the changes in the environment.

Due to the complex interactions of human activity and the hydrological cycle, achieving urban water security requires comprehensive planning processes that address urban water hazards using a holistic approach. However, the effective implementation of such an approach requires the collection and curation of large amounts of disparate data, and reliable methods for modeling processes that may be co-evolutionary yet traditionally represented in non-integrable ways. In recent decades, many hydrological studies have utilized advanced machine learning and information technologies to approximate and predict physical processes, yet none have synthesized these methods into a comprehensive urban water security plan. In this paper, we review ways in which advanced machine learning techniques have been applied to specific aspects of the hydrological cycle and discuss their potential applications for addressing challenges in mitigating multiple water hazards over urban areas. We also describe a vision that integrates these machine learning applications into a comprehensive watershed-to-community planning workflow for smart-cities management of urban water resources.

Based on laboratory experiments, the paper researches the effect of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) content on the performance of fly ash-based cement grouting materials. The test results show that the addition of PVA has limited effect on the initial and final setting time and brings a certain but minor delay on the appearance of the hydration peak period. It enhances cement hydration during the hydration slow down period. The impermeability of PVA to the grouting material is obviously improved, and it increases with the growing amount of PVA content. PVA improves the flexural strength and compressive strength of the sample block to varying degrees, and the improvement on flexural strength is more obvious than that on the compressive strength. It has a significant effect on the mechanical properties of the grouting material and can effectively improve the rock mass’s hydraulic coupling characteristics. It also has great application value and practical significance for the prevention and control of water hazards in deep coal stopes.
