Introduction: A firefighting job is a demanding job that has a high degree of stress due to constant exposure to life-threatening conditions. Therefore, the present study investigates the mediating role of intrinsic job motivation in the relationship between job commitment and professional ethics with extra-role performance among firefighters in Isfahan. Materials and Methods: The type of study was descriptive and correlational. The statistical population included all firefighters in Isfahan, from which 228 people were selected as a sample through random sampling. The instruments used include internal job motivation questionnaires (Gagne et al., 2015), job commitment (Blau, 2009), professional ethics (Hackerina, 2011), and extra-role performance (Lee and Allen, 2002). Data were analyzed by the Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling (SEM). SPSS23 and Smart PLS3 software were used for data analysis. Results: The results showed that professional ethics has a direct effect on intrinsic job motivation, extra-role performance toward organization and individual; Intrinsic job motivation affects directly on the extra-role performance toward an individual; Job commitment has a direct effect on intrinsic job motivation and extra-role performance toward the organization (P <0.05). Also, the proposed model has a good fit and by examining the indirect and mediating effects through the bootstrapping method in PLS software, was shown that intrinsic job motivation mediates the effect of job commitment and professional ethics on the extra- role performance toward the individual. Conclusion: The findings of the present study showed that professional ethics and job commitment could increase extra-role behaviors through intrinsic job motivation. Therefore, due to the role and importance of extra-role behaviors in the firefighting profession, attention to this should be considered by managers and policymakers of this organization.

Abstract This paper is an exploratory review of selected literature that focused on adult learning facilitators' professional identity. We employed the snow-ball technique for selection and followed the review protocol by Beijaard, Meijer, and Verloop (2004) to explore empirical studies that discussed how professional identity is defined, what constructs encompass professional identity, which methodologies are relevant when studying professional identity and what are adult learning facilitators' common characteristics as professionals. Our review shows that the studies included have a common understanding of professional identity: it is conceived of as a dynamic construct which encompasses job motivation and future vision as well. Narrative interview with biographical perspectives was used as the main research method in all the reviewed studies. This exploratory review offers a set of perspectives which could be considered as entry points into an in-depth (empirical) study of adult learning facilitators' identity formation in various regional and national contexts.

Abstract Teachers’ sense of identity plays a central role in understanding their actions as individuals inside and outside the classroom. Therefore, it is important to determine teachers’ understanding of who they are. Thus, teachers’ opinions about their professional self-understanding in the study were aimed to be analysed. In line with this purpose, the qualitative research method was used to address teachers’ views on their professional self-understanding holistically, and the research was carried out according to the phenomenology pattern. The research study group consists of 44 teachers working in primary, secondary, and high schools located in the Pendik district of Istanbul. Research data were obtained as a result of in-depth interviews with teachers through semi-structured interview forms. The findings obtained were grouped under five themes: “Image, Respect, Job Motivation, Perception of Duty, and Future Views”, taking into account the relevant literature. The study revealed that professional self-understanding is closely affected by emotions and teachers’ social status.

This study adopts a narrative approach to revealing how English as a foreign language teachers construct their teacher identities. Kelchterman’s five dimensions of teacher identity; i.e., self-image, self-esteem, task perception, job motivation and future perspectives, were used as the theoretical lens to explore eight participants’ identity construction via the narratives they told in an online written interview form. Participants were eight EFL instructors who worked at higher education institutions around Turkey. Data was collected via an online survey tool and analysed via thematic analysis and open coding. Data revealed that the five dimensions of teacher identity do not develop in isolation from each other but a dynamic interaction among these identity dimensions exists.

Effectiveness of an organization is largely dependent on its employees’ job performance. Job performance is influenced by job stress and job motivation, whereby job motivation is believed to have a mediation effect in the relationship between job stress and job performance.  Hence, this paper is aimed at identifying the relationship between these three variables among Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officers at the Federal Territory Police Headquarters. This is a quantitative study for which data has been collected from 341 police officers through a survey. Data was analyzed statistically using PLS-SEM. Findings showed that there was a significant, negative relationship between job performance and job stress; and between job stress and job motivation. Job motivation was found to be a significant mediator in the relationship between job stress and job performance.

This research aims to investigate the effect of organizational culture and job motivation as independent variables toward the teacher’s work productivity of state junior high school teachers as dependent variable, both individually and collectively.           Among 60 senior high school  teachers were surveyed and 52 respondent were selected as samples for the research. Normality, homogenity, linearity, multiple regression, and multiple correlation are several data analysis method that were used in this research using the SPPS 21.0 program for Windows. The result of this research imply that: Firstl,  a positive and significant effect was found Teacher’s Work Productivity by Organizational Culture and Job Motivation collectivelly and expressed in coefficient correlation  ry1.2 = 0,672 (a = 0,05) and regression equation as Y = 43,0378 + 0,603 X1  +  0,273 X2 and  determination coefficient is  r2y1.2 = 0,451.Secondly, a positive and significant corelation was found Organizational Culture toward Teacher’s Work Productivity  can be found and  expressed in hypothesis testing that the value of Sig = 0.000 and t = 5.767, while t table = 2.021. Because the value of Sig <0.05 and tcount > ttable, H0 is rejected, it means that there is a significant effect of the independent variable X1 (organizational culture) on the dependent variable Y (Teacher’s Work Productivity). Thirdly, this research also found that there is a positive and significant corelation was found Job Motivation toward Teacher’s Work Productivity can be found and  expressed in  the hypothesis testing, it was obtained that the value of Sig = 0.000 and tcount = 3.881, while ttable = 2.021. The value of Sig <0.05 and tcount > ttable, so H0 is rejected, it means that there is a significant effect of the independent variable X2 (job motivation) toward the dependent variable Y (Teacher’s Work Productivity).           According to result of this research that improvement of Teacher’s Work Productivity  can be in creased by Organizationalal Culture and Job Motivation interest.
