Abstract We provide a complete characterization of periodic point free homeomorphisms of the $2$ -torus admitting irrational circle rotations as topological factors. Given a homeomorphism of the $2$ -torus without periodic points and exhibiting uniformly bounded rotational deviations with respect to a rational direction, we show that annularity and the geometry of its non-wandering set are the only possible obstructions for the existence of an irrational circle rotation as topological factor. Through a very precise study of the dynamics of the induced $\rho $ -centralized skew-product, we extend and generalize considerably previous results of Jäger.

AbstractMany of us are all too familiar with the experience of taking pleasure in things we feel we ought not, and of finding it frustratingly hard to bring our pleasures into line with our moral judgements. As a value dualist, Kant draws a sharp contrast between the two sources of practical motivation: pleasure in the agreeable and respect for the moral law. His ethics might thus seem to be an unpromising source for help in thinking about how we can bring our agreeable pleasures into line with our moral values. But I argue that a careful reading of Kant’s texts reveals a helpfully realistic view about the extent to which we can modify our agreeable pleasures. On my interpretation, Kant shows us how to hold together two seemingly incompatible ideas: on the one hand, that pleasure in the agreeable is resistant to rational direction, and on the other hand, that we can cultivate these pleasures with a view to ethical self-transformation.

The existing technology for the purification of diffusion juice and its hardware design has not fundamentally changed over the past four decades. The lack of the necessary theoretical developments and experimental data hinders the development of existing and the development of new technological processes. Therefore, the main direction of improving the purification efficiency of juices of sugar beet production is the disclosure of its unused reserves and their implementation in practice. The scientific problem of choosing the rational direction for improving the technology of juice purification, which ensures the production of consumer granulated sugar in the face of changes in a wide range of quality of raw materials, is relevant and has important economic importance, especially in the context of the transition of beet sugar factories to a market economy. One way to solve it is to make fuller use of the adsorption capacity of calcium carbonate particles while increasing the filtration properties of saturation sediments. Therefore, the study investigates the effect of cavitation effects – vapor condensation and hydrodynamic processing of diffusion juice on the processes of purification of diffusion juice, juices of preliminary defecation, first and second saturations. The analysis of the influence of various effects of cavitation processing of juices from the point of view of improving the purification efficiency, the optimal place of the purification process in the technological scheme of production is established.

Here, we successfully prepared macroscopically oriented films of Cu-based pillar-layered MOFs (Cu2(Linker)2DABCO) having regularly ordered 1D nanochannels. The direction of 1D nanochannels was controllable by optimizing the crystal growth process; 1D nanochannels either perpendicular or parallel to substrates, which offer molecular-scale pore arrays for a macroscopic alignment of functional guest molecules in the desired direction. We also showed the fabrication of oriented Cu2(Linker)2DABCO MOF patterns, where the direction of 1D nanochannels is controllable on individual locations on the same substrate. These Cu2(Linker)2DABCO MOF films and patterns with controlled orientation are importante steps towards the development of MOF film-based applications such as sensors and electrical/optical devices because functionalities derived from the accommodated guest species in their 1D nanochannels are optimized for the rational direction on the desired substrate for the device fabrication.<br>

The most rational direction of disposal of industrial waste is their use in obtaining products for construction purposes, such as concrete. For the purposeful regulation of the structure and properties of cement mortars and concretes, special highly effective additives-modifiers to concrete are widely used to increase strength and durability. In this paper, it was proposed to use the product disposal of bottoms residues as a hydrophobic additive – a composite material in the form of a fine powder. Disposal products, containing in their composition hydrophobic wax substances and silica-containing sorbents, give strength and water resistance to cement brick due to the manifestation of the acquired property of bulk hydrophobization. By keeping the samples in a solution of Na2SO4, the hydrophobic properties of the disposal products were confirmed. Concrete with the addition of a disposal product, obtained on the basis of the decontamination composition CaO:SFDP:spent silica gel, has the best performance.

The article describes the analysis of features of safe orbital motion control for two geostationary satellites in one orbital zone. Under the given assumptions and limitations, the methods of controlling the satellite orbit eccentricities and inclinations by means of corrections, ensuring the implementation of the I-E-collocation method, are investigated. The result of research is the development of rational strategies for controlling the orbit eccentricities and inclinations of two satellites. The strategy of controlling eccentricity is a modification of the sun pointing perigee strategy and is called the quasi-sun pointing perigee strategy. The strategy of controlling inclinations takes into account the evolution of the orbital inclinations under the influence of the gravitational potentials of the Sun and the Moon in certain periods of the year and at different positions of the Moon orbit line of nodes. The developed strategies provide for reducing the fuel cost for the orbital parameter corrections at collocation of two satellites since eccentricity corrections are partially combined with corrections of satellite hold in longitude, and inclination corrections are performed in the most rational direction opposite to the direction of inclination vector growth
