Abstract Tourism development in Indonesia is currently one of the alternatives in the national program as an effort to economic growth. The study’s objectives are (1) analyzing the perception and motivation values of the stakeholder community; (2) developing a strategy to optimize the development of sustainable peat ecosystem ecotourism. The research result shows that the polarization of perception and motivation of the community and stakeholders expressed a positive attitude towards the ecotourism development in the values of 6-7. The value shows a positive attitude between the community and stakeholders. The motivational value of both actors illustrates an optimistic attitude in the ecotourism development with a value between 6-7. The results of the matrix calculation of internal and external factors produce X coordinates of 0.50 and Y – 0.50 on the strategy quadrant diagram. The strategy is Weakness-Opportunity which is a strategy that minimizes weaknesses and takes advantage of existing opportunities. Strategic formulation, namely: (1) building and strengthening institutional systems; (2) improving the welfare of the community by opening business opportunities; (3) developing infrastructure and tourism support facilities; and (4) targeting marketing programs. The research benefit is that it can be used as one of the basis in drawing up a plan to optimize the utilization of peat ecosystems sustainably. It also can improve local communities’ attitudes of concern, awareness, and welfare.

As the pressures on water supply from shifting forest disturbance regimes continue to escalate, researchers are being asked to answer increasingly complex questions. However, many questions in wildfire-watershed risk (WWR) research remained unaddressed due to a paucity of relevant datasets. There are, indeed, many fundamental processes we do not understand that require additional data collection to develop risk management frameworks. As such, WWR researchers and managers face a paradox in their need to address critical questions important for the sustainability of socio-hydrological systems while dealing with incomplete information. In many cases, this leads to valuable research ideas being discarded on the account of limited data availability. However, imperfect, incomplete, or limited data should not deter researchers and managers from performing analyses to assess risk. In fact, such analyses improve the research benefit-to-cost ratio of existing data, help unravel gaps in data sources, enable generation of new hypotheses, and highlight where data availability and openness can be improved. If we do not use what we have, how can we know what we need? This issue is of particular interest in Canada, where baseline WWR information for the entire country is generally missing, despite growing concerns about water security in the face of a shifting wildfire regimes. In this commentary, we (a) identify several relevant open geospatial datasets, (b) illustrate how these datasets can be leveraged to produce simple yet relevant risk information, (c) identify some high priority data gaps that require immediate attention, and (d) discuss future avenues towards the creation of baseline Pan-Canadian WWR information.

Adolescence is a process to find an identity. The formation of a nationalist character is needed to anticipate not committing deviant actions. Researchers are interested in researching the factors that influence nationalist character values' inculcation based on school culture in Muhammadiyah schools in Yogyakarta City. The research method used is a qualitative approach. The research benefit is to determine the various factors that influence the inculcation of nationalist character values based on school culture in Muhammadiyah schools in the city of Yogyakarta

The quality of anchovy is very dependent on handling and processing, the stages of good anchovy handling are caught fish, washed with clean fresh water, drained fish, dried fish in the sun at 37-40oC, packaged fish and marketed fish. Good handling and processing will produce high quality anchovy. The research objectives were: To determine the quality of anchovy by microorganism and organoleptic tests. The research benefit is to obtain the quality of anchovy which is expected to have an economic effect on fishermen. This study used an exploratory method with direct sampling techniques on the results of catching anchovies on the boat chart fishing gear in Toniku, West Halmahera. The results showed the total density. The test results of microorganisms from 3 (three) samples, the highest TPC value in community anchovy samples (TM), the identification results obtained by three types of bacteria, namely Micrococus, Bacillus, and Stapylococus and organoleptic test results from 3 (three) samples. shows that the average value of the highest level of preference in samples of boiled anchovies with salt (TRG).

This chapter focused on the key relational leadership practices that are significant to higher education technology leaders now and in the future. The methods employed were a literature review of over 200 publications derived from peer reviewed as well as publicly accessible documents which detailed responsibilities such as job descriptions and position announcements culled from higher education institutions where the titles ranged from technology administrator to vice president of information technology. The analysis showed connections between higher education technology administrators and relational leadership and revealed five central practices. The results of this research benefit higher education technology administrators and the institutions they serve.

In recent years, universities and public authorities have increasingly focused on creating USOs (university spin-offs) as a method of transferring research results to society and of achieving the sustainable development sought by European institutions. However, the success of these policies depends on the appeal of creating a USO for academics. The aim of this research was to examine the relative importance of certain factors that may boost academic entrepreneurship and, therefore, to guide public policies. To do this, a qualitative study was carried out among 42 researchers from Spanish universities and research centres to understand their motivations for creating a USO. A quantitative study was then carried out, based on Conjoint Analysis and with a sample of 1726 academics, to identify the relative importance of six conditions that influence their predisposition to become entrepreneurs. This technique is seldom used in the field of entrepreneurship and, to the best of our knowledge, has never been used before to analyse academic entrepreneurship. The results of the study show that personal economic benefit is clearly the factor that heightens the intention to create a USO the most. Research benefit, CV benefit, support programmes, teaching reduction and personal cost are of lesser importance. The study also concludes that there are few differences according to the academic’s profile.

AbstractResearch translation and evaluation are often underconsidered in research design and implementation thus limiting research benefit to the end user. In this article, we first describe a best practice approach to evaluation, for a center of research excellence in polycystic ovary syndrome. Within this, we outline a comprehensive research translation program with inbuilt evaluation of the first International Evidence-based Guideline for the Assessment and Management of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (2018). We seek to provide a real-world example of comprehensive approaches to evaluation and research translation.

Intergroup communication, given its interdisciplinary roots in communication and social psychology, has been eclectic in methodology. Earlier approaches tended to be quantitative and experimental. In the early 21st century, the full range of qualitative approaches—thematic analysis and grounded theory, discourse analysis, conversation analysis, and others—have come to prominence. A key issue has been how to reconcile the broad-brush aspects of surveys, tightly-controlled contexts in experiments, and very limited numbers of participants in qualitative research. In the past decade or so, rapid improvements to the capabilities of computational technologies have brought forth a new generation of computational methods for communication research. Broadly known as visual text analytics, these methods provide communication scholars new ways to model, visualize, and analyze intergroup communication processes. They also allow larger scale in the detailed analysis of texts and discourse. In spite of their great interest to intergroup communication, these new visual text analytic methods also present challenges. In presenting several newer visual text analytic methods, we articulate some ways to approach the tools to achieve maximum research benefit.
