Electrical connectors are very sensitive parts in an electronic system. The actual meaning of reliability and the problems associated with determining it, are often not right understood. The paper presents some particular aspects of the automotive industry connectors’ i.e. fretting, fretting corrosion prevention, aluminium connections. The performance factors governed by the operating conditions and design-technology factors determined by the manufacturing characteristics of a contact unit were analyzed.

It is stated that the operation of the sliding contact unit is accompanied by vibrations of the brushes that occur as a result of internal and external mechanical influences. The resulting violations of the sliding contact (SC) and the instability of contacting lead to a deterioration in the quality of current transmission, increased sparking, accelerated wear of the SC. The article is devoted to the derivation and verification of universal formulas for calculating the relative instability factor (RIF) of the SC. Derived formulas allow calculating the RIF of any SC compounds. Mathematical expressions are obtained to determine the distributions of instability in the tangential and axial directions of the transition layer of the SC. An experimental stand for studying the instability of various SC compounds at idle and in the rated load mode is described. The contacting cycle, which establishes a correspondence between the instantaneous value of the length of the measuring platform and the movement of the collector is described. Expressions for determining the equivalent length of the measuring area for different cases of placing the measuring brush relative to the zone of the main sliding contact are derived. These formulas allow us to find the RIF of various SC regions on experimental data based.

Each Concentrate revision guide is packed with essential information, key cases, revision tips, exam Q&As, and more. Concentrates show you what to expect in a law exam, what examiners are looking for, and how to achieve extra marks. This chapter focuses on child abduction whereby a parent takes a child out of England and Wales. It looks at two forms of parent–child abduction—removal without consent, and retention once consent has expired—and considers methods of preventing child abduction, including port alerts and court orders. The chapter also discusses the role of the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit (ICACU) in the recovery of an abducted child under the Child Abduction and Custody Act 1985, as long as the child is in a country that is signatory to the Hague Convention 1980, Hague Convention 1996, or European Convention. It concludes by considering extradition of the guilty parent to England and Wales.

Background: This analytical approach aims to accentuate the interconnections between two universes which are apparently in contradiction: ideal and pragmatic, or symbol and sound. The mountain – viewed as a place of creative inspiration – represents a leitmotif of creation in most of the artistic fields. Thus, literature, visual arts and music give this symbol a historical anchor in the artistic movements of all eras Methods: In order to exemplify a possible way of interference between the two philosophical areas, we have chosen as a “contact unit” the symbol of the mountain, observing the intuition with which it was represented in Alpen Symphony by Richard Strauss and the tone poem The Mountain by Csíky Boldizsár. In the compositional context of the twentieth century, Richard Strauss made a remarkable creation with a strong philosophical idea as a model of descriptive Programmatism. In his work, the composer suggests the ascension of a traveler in a mountain climb that encounters, in his journey, places either  protected by nature or dangerous  The whole journey is dominated by majestic symbols of life, nature, and, and resembles an initiatic journey through which the hero is challenged to push himself to the limits and evolve. Equally, this is an allegory of life. On the summit, The Glacier, or The Storm are just some symphonic scenes with complex symbolic connotations that will be analyzed in this research through the connection with the componistic technique of the creator. In a mysterious universe, the tone poem The Mountain by Csíky Boldizsár depicts the monumental landscape of the Transylvanian lands, the symbols of greatness, boundlessness and eternity. The intention of the composer is to raise a monument dedicated to the invincible human will, a force that drives explorers of unknown seas and lands, researchers of all mysteries, poets, psychologists, artists, to the eternal unknown. In music, the composer uses an abstract language, anchored in modernity, using a whole arsenal of complex mixtures of chords, bartokian modes, non-imitative polyphony, mobile clusters, elements that serve the expression. Results, Conclusions: Finally, this research aims to demonstrate, as a synthesis, how the tonal and modal languages manage to illustrate the connotations extracted from the symbol of the mountain.

Such processes in electric machines having sliding contacts as sparking and overheating can be the reason of the deep electroerosive wear. Searching effective ways to reduce sparking has an obvious practical significance since it extends the service life of the sliding contact in particular and service life of the electro-mechanic units in whole. This article contains information about physical processes in the electrical sliding contact. The method of spark suppression related to LC filters introduced to the electromagnetic brush circuits is considered, the device for spark reducing is suggested. The calculations of the impact of the device for spark reducing on sparking and thermal processes in the contact pairs are described.
