In the following article, the Authors present the results of initial researches into a building component needed for thermal insulation. The building component is a elastic insulation plate made from recycling materials. The solution is protected by industry patter Elastyczna pyta izolacyjna No 23 621 for Silesian University of Technology Gliwice. The paper presents the determination method of effective thermal conductivity for granular materials. It is based on the geometrical model for the determination of granular medium structure, which is based on the theory of the highest-density arrangement of equal-sized spheres. The elaborated by the Authors modeling results, obtained on the basis of an innovative description (definition) of granular medium, were addressed to the commonly applied two-component medium. To verify the correctness of the calculation model proposed by the Authors, the results were subjected to validation, basing on the thermal conductivity of elastic plates in a hot plate apparatus.

Faced at the present situation that the noise level of most combine harvesters was generally higher than the national standard limit in our country, experiments carried out to reduce the driver's ear noise, which chosen 4LZ-5.0E type tracked combine harvester as experimental prototype. The method of noise sources separation was used to test the whole machine on different working conditions. Based on the contribution analysis to obtain the contribution of main working parts for the driver's ear noise and identify the main noise sources. Through designing the reasonable structure of sound insulation for engine and installing the sound insulation plate on the left of driver, testing results showed that the noise of the driver's ear was reduced 3.1dB (A).

For the measurement of radiation heat transfer in the low-density nanoporous insulation material at extreme temperature environment, this paper describes in detail on how the experimental optical system is established, and the way and method of measurements are presented .A Silica Aerogel nanoporous insulation plate specimen is experimented and its result is compared with the analytical result, their discrepancies are analyzed. This work is intended to give reference to the development of new types of thermal protection system (TPS) with low density microporous material insulations.

The new reinforced concrete composite wall (RCCW) with inner insulating layer of polystyrene panel was developed to improve the durability of external thermal insulation plate on walls. The composite structure and construction method of the RCCW is briefly introduced in this paper. The thermal insulation behaviors such as conduct heat coefficient and total heat resistance of RCCW are tested by the protection chest method, the measured and calculated results of thermal insulation properties of the RCCW are compared with each other, the effect of heat-bridge resulted from connected concrete supports of specimen and bottom side concrete of specimen covering inner insulating layer on the test results is discussed.

To improve the durability of external thermal insulation plate on walls, the new reinforced concrete composite wall(RCCW) with inner insulating layer of polystyrene panel was developed. The paper introduces the thermal insulation tests of the RCCWs by the protection chest method, and studies the method for eliminating the effect of heat-bridge on the test results of conduct heat coefficient of the RCCW. The results show that the test value of conduct heat coefficient of the RCCW was obviously affected by the heat-bridge in specimen caused by the connected concrete such as support and concrete cover around the polystyrene panel, the practical value can be obtained by mean of taking off the percent of heat-bridge effect.
