Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan biometri dan morfometri spermatozoa kambing Kacang, Peranakan Ettawa dan Boer. Penampungan semen dilakukan menggunakan vagina buatan. Satu bagian semen segar diencerkan dengan sepuluh bagian NaCl fisilogis (v/v). Fiksasi slide dengan cara mencampur satu tetes semen encer dengan satu tetes larutan Eosin-nigrosin, homogenkan dan keringkan diatas hot plate suhu 40°C selama beberapa menit. Biometri dan Morfometri spermatozoa diukur dengan mikroskop phase contras (CarlZeis, Jerman) pembesaran 400 kali. Semen dari setiap kambing dibuatkan satu slide dan setiap slide diambil 10 sampel spermatozoa hidup, sehingga sampel spermatozo untuk setiap jenis kambing adalah 50 spermatozoa. Signifikansi antar variabel diuji menggunakan T-test dengan pengujian independent samples test dengan tingkat signifikansi 0.05. Hasil penelitiann menunjukkan, tidak ada perbedaan nyata variabel biometri ketiga jenis kambing tersebut, kecuali konsentrasi, motilitas massa dan motilitas individu spermatozoa kambing PE secara signifikan lebih rendah dibanding kambing Boer dan Kacang. Panjang kepala spermatozoa kambing kacang, Ettawah dan Boer, tidak berbeda nyata. Sebaliknya, lebar kepala spermatozoa kambing Boer cendrung lebih lebar tetapi tidak berbeda nyata dibanding kambing Kacang dan kambing PE. Sedangkan panjang ekor spermatozoa kambing Boer secara signifikan lebih pendek dibanding kambing Kacang dan kambing PE. Disimpulkan, Morfomerti spermatozoa kambing Kacang PE dan Boer tidak berbeda nyata. Disarankan supaya hasilnya lebih akurat, pengukuran morfomerti spermatozoa hendaknya dilakukan pada spermatozoa dengan kromosom yang sama yaitu X atau Y saja

Studi dengan tujuan mengevaluasi kecukupan nutrisi sapi jantan muda Bali dilakukan selama 3 bulan sejak Juni hingga September 2020 di BPT-HMT Serading, Kabupaten Sumbawa. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap sepuluh ekor sapi bali jantan muda dengan berat badan awal rata-rata 114 kg. Variabel yang diamati termasuk jenis, kualitas dan konsumsi pakan, dan kenaikan berat badan harian. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BPT-HMT Serading menerapkan sistem pemeliharaan semi intensif pada sapi jantan muda Bali dengan memberi mereka makan rumput raja, lamtoro, sedotan jagung, dan gamal. Selain ditulis, ternak juga dilepaskan di padang rumput bintang. Konsumsi BK adalah 2,56, PK adalah 0,253 dan TDN adalah 1,53 kg/ kepala / hari, sedangkan kebutuhan BK adalah 3,19, PK adalah 0,331 dan TDN adalah 1,92 kg / kepala / hari. Kenaikan berat badan harian 0,08 kg / kepala / hari. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa jumlah pakan yang dikonsumsi tidak mencukupi untuk sapi jantan muda Bali. Dianjurkan untuk memperhatikan kualitas dan kuantitas pakan yang diberikan kepada ternak, untuk menerapkan teknologi silase dan fermentasi pada cadangan pakan stok di musim kemarau.

Penelitian berjudul Evaluasi Kecukupan Nutrisi sapi Bali dara yang dipelihara di BPT-HMT Serading Kabupaten Sumbawa ini telah dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan dari bulan April hingga Juni 2019 di BPT-HMT Serading. Penelitian menggunakan 10 ekor sapi dara dengan bobot badan rata-rata 146,86 ± 4,2 kg yang ditempatkan dalam sistem kandang kolektif yang dilengkapi bak pakan dan air minum. Pengambilan data untuk produksi hijauan menggunakan metode survey serta pengukuran dan pengamatan langsung dilapangan dengan menggunakan quadran dengan ukuran 1 m x 1 m. Penempatan quadran pada padang rumput dilakukan dengan cara acak sistematis sedangkan komposisi botani dilakukan, dengan metode pengukuran Summed Dominance Ratio (SDR) berdasarkan frekuensi (keseringan), berdasarkan density (kepadatan), berdasarkan area cover (penutupan tanah). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi pengamatan sistem pemeliharaan, jumlah dan jenis pakan yang diberikan, Produksi hijauan dan komposisi botani di padang penggembalaan dan pertambahan bobot badan ternak. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif (Mean dan Standart Deviasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pemeliharaan sapi dara bali yang dipelihara di HMT Serading adalah sistem semi intensif, pakan yang diberikan dalam kandang adalah rumput raja (50,6%), lamtoro (16,3%), jerami padi (22,6%), dan jerami jagung (10,5%). Pakan yang tersedia dipadang penggembalaan adalah rumput bintang, rumput para dan ilalang dan termasuk dalam komposisi botani padang penggembalaan yang kurang baik dengan kapasitas daya tampung 0,4 UT/Ha/Tahun.

Background: Etawa's crossbreed goat milk is one of the alternatives chosen by the community as a substitute for cow's milk, people in Indonesia believe in milk, it increases antibodies. to find out whether the demand for goat's milk increases or decreases during the presence of COVID-19. Methods: This study used a questionnaire-based descriptive method. The sample consisted of 5 breeders of Etawa crossbred goats, communicated via cellphone to interview 5 breeders. This research was conducted in May 2020 and data analysis used the BEP test. Results: During the Covid-19 pandemic the demand for Eatawa crossbreed goat milk increased. The existence of this pandemic has had a positive impact seen from the demand for consumers that has not decreased, and the increase in demand for milk which was originally sold from 50L to 75L in one month after the pandemic. Conclusion: It is necessary to carry out organoleptic and mastitis tests so that consumers who consume this etawa cross breed goat's milk avoid disease -milk-borne diseases. The aim of this study was to assess the effects of dietary probiotic enhanced liquid acidifier combined with mannan-rich fraction on growth performance, nutrients digestibility in growing pigs. Thirty [(Duroc×Yorkshire)×Landrace] pigs with the average initial BW of 36.75±1.57 kg were allocated into three treatments by a randomized complete block design. There were five pens per treatment with six pigs per pen. Dietary treatments include: 1) CON (basal diet); 2) T1 (basal diet+probiotic 0.1%) and 3) T2 (basal diet+probiotic+mannan rich fraction 0.2%). the data were analyzed as a randomized complete block design using of SAS University Version 4.0. The model included the effects of block (replication) and treatment. Pen served as the experimental unit. During the entire experimental period of 6 weeks, results showed that addition of complex probiotic at the level of 0.2% to diet increased ADG significantly (p<0.05). Also, digestibility of DM and N tended to increase. To sum up, results in this experiment indicated that dietary [(probiotik×acidifier)×mannan-rich-fraction]  supplementation had a positive effect on growing pigs performance and nutrient digestibility

The study was designed to determine the size of some body parts of the Super Kampong chicken and its relationship with body weight. The study was conducted at the Teaching Farm of Animal Science Faculty, University of Mataram, in Lingsar Village, West Lombok. The study used 60 male and 96 female Super Kampong chickens which were maintained intensively. The variables observed were body weight, head circumference, neck length, wing length, back length, chest circumference, chest width, upper and lower thigh length, metatarsus length, metatarsus circumference, and third finger length. Measurements were made for each individual bird at 13 weeks of age using yarn then measured with a tape measure, while the dimension of chest width was assigned  by measuring the distance between the right and right sides of the chest using calipers. The results found that the body parts that had the biggest contribution to the body weight of the Super Kampong chickens at 13 weeks old were the size of the lower thigh length in the male chicken and the size of the chest circumference in the female chicken.

Penelitian dilaksanakan untuk mengevaluasi kejadian semen motil dan non-motil kerbau lumpur jantan. Sebanyak tiga ekor kerbau jantan umur 2.5  sampai 3,0 tahun dan berat badan 441 sampai 477 kg yang dipelihara di Teaching dan Experimental Farm, Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Mataram digunakan dalam penelitian. Sembilan puluh delapan ejakulat (52 motil dan 46 statik) ditampung selama periode penelitian. Kejadian ejakulat statik adalah sekitar 47 persen yang bervariasi dari pejantan ke pejantan. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan di antara kerbau jantan didapati tidak signifikan untuk semua karakteristik semen statik, kecuali volume semen. Ketika data karakteristik semen dari ketiga kerbau jantan disatukan, ejakulat statik menunjukkan pH, total spermatozoa abnormal dan ekor bengkok yang lebih tinggi (p<0,05) dibandingkan dengan ejakulat motil. Sebaliknya, ejakulat statik menunjukkan penurunan volume ejakulat, konsentrasi sperma dan spermatozoa hidup yang signifikan (p<0,05). Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang kesesuaian semen motil kerbau lumpur yang dipreservasi dalam keadaan cair dan beku.

This research aims were to analyze The Contribution analysis of Broiler Chicken Business on breeders’ income in Central Lombok. This research used survey method. The data was analyzed using analysis of charge and income, B-C Ratio, Break Even Point, Rentability and contribution of broiler chicken business. This research was conducted since August until November 2019 in Central Lombok Regency. The selection of those villages as the sample area was carried out purposively. The result of the research showed that the contribution of broiler chicken business on breeders’ income was about 89.06% per year with gross farm income (GFI) on broiler chicken business was about IDR. 126.782.390,04 per breeder and per period, and net farm income (NFI) on broiler chicken breeding in Central Lombok Regency, was about IDR. 13,389,115,00 per breeder and per period. The breeding business of broiler chicken in Central Lombok was proper to be conducted. This matter was showed by the average value of B-C Ratio in the amount of 1.2, BEP value in the amount of IDR. 16.481,01/kg, and rentability value in the amount of 15.79%.

Sausages are crushed meat mixed with spices, then put in casings from animal intestine or oval shaped plastic, slightly flattened and elongated. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the level of tapioca flour addition on the physical characteristics of the chicken cull egg sausage. The research material is the rejected laying hen meat taken in the muscles of the chest and thighs, tapioca flour and a number of seasonings. 2,000 grams of chicken meat were randomly divided into parts into 4 treatments with 3 replications: 0% (P1), 10% (P2), 20% (P3) and 30% (P4). The research began with the provision of commercial tapioca flour and continued with the production of sausages using conventional methods. Testing the physical characteristics of sausages: The water binding capacity (DIA) was carried out by the Hamm method, cooking losses by the boiling method, tenderness by the Warner-Bratzler method and the pH value by the Ockerman method. The sausage physical characteristics data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance based on a Completely Randomized Directional Pattern design and continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the level of tapioca flour addition in the process of making chicken sausage had a significant effect (P <0.05) on DIA and cooking losses, while pH and tenderness had no significant effect (P> 0.05). The addition of tapioca flour at the level of 10% gives a normal sausage pH of 6.03 ± 0.06 and cooking losses of 13.33 ± 5.77%.
