Objective: To report the experience lived during the Integrated Multiprofessional Residency in Family Health at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Pernambuco – FCM/UPE – at the interface with the Residency in Hospital Dentistry with a focus on Oncology at the University of Pernambuco developed at the Oncology Center at the Oswaldo Cruz University Hospital of the University of Pernambuco – CEON/HUOC/UPE. Methods: This is an experience report of dental practice in the context of professional training, in SUS, both in primary, secondary and tertiary care. Results: It is noticeable the need for greater professional qualification of the graduate, their integration in the Services of the institutionalized network and their performance with efficiency in multiprofissional teams, emphasizing the importance of professional training through Residencies, allowing the dental surgeon to improve in the diferente fields of Dentistry activities and, in particular, rescuing the inter-trans-multidisciplinary performance in both primary and hospital care and in the area of oncology. It was noticed that the integrated performance of the dental surgeon in a multidisciplinar team in low and medium complexity with resolvability in oral care is essential for the quality of care in the hospital context. Conclusion: Dental care directly impacts the quality of care and patient’s lives. The training of the dental surgeon throug the Residencies can provide skills and contribute with the other professions to the patient’s quality of life. In addition to its assistance character, the Dentistry Service – CEON/HUOC/UPE assumes an important education function, serving as a teaching research and extension field.

Objective: To assess serum vitamin D levels in patients living with the human immunodeficiency virus followed up at an Escola Hospital in Recife-Pernambuco. Material and Method: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study, carried out between the months of May and December 2018. The population was composed of patients living with the human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome who had the serum vitamin D levels measured in the last year. The reference values ​​for sufficiency of this vitamin were considered adequate when they were equal to or greater than 30 ng / mL, as suggested by the Brazilian Medical Societies. For statistical analysis, data were entered into the Microsoft Office Excel program. The research project was approved by the Ethics and Research Committee, obtaining a Presentation Certificate for Ethical Appreciation, number: 76950417.9.0000.52.01. Results: The sample consisted of 64 patients, with an average age of 40.0 ± 10.3 years, with only 4.7% of the population formed by the elderly. Regarding clinical and treatment characteristics, the most prevalent route of transmission was sexual (84.4%), with an infection diagnosis time greater than five years (68.3%). Regarding serum vitamin D levels, insufficiency was found in 35.9% of participants. Conclusion: With the present study, it was possible to verify that there is an expressive percentage of patients with vitamin D deficiency, emphasizing the importance of periodic dosage of serum levels of this vitamin, due to the physiological changes characteristic of the disease itself and types of drugs used in therapy.

Objective: describe the weight evolution of patients undergoing gastroplasty in a hospital in Pernambuco. Methods: A longitudinal, retrospective and descriptive study was carried out through the nutritional monitoring form, obtaining sociodemographic, clinical and nutritional data from patients over 18 years of age who underwent Roux-en-Y gastric bypass for the treatment of obesity and who were followed up during the pre and postoperative period at the IMIP Nutrition outpatient clinic between 2012 and 2017. Results: There was a decrease in BMI from 47.35 ± 7.09 kg / m² in the preoperative period to 29.65 ± 4.46 kg / m² in the 24 postoperative month and there was progressive weight loss in percentage according to the 6 months (45 , 23 ± 12.18), 12 (60.37 ± 13.98), 18 (64.80 ± 15.66), and finally, month 24 reaching 67.24 ± 20.38%. Conclusion: Roux-en-Y gastric bypass proved to be efficient in weight loss and decrease in BMI, helping in the long term in weight loss and, therefore, in a better quality of life. In addition, the nutritional monitoring, which is essential for adherence and maintenance of healthy eating habits in the pre- and postoperative period, is also noteworthy.

Objective: To analyze poisoning by domestic pesticides in the metropolitan region of Recife from 2014 to 2016. Methods: The research consisted of an analysis in the database of the National Toxic Information System (SINITOX), verifying the profile of poisoning in the metropolitan region from Recife in the period from 2014 to 2016. Result: The results found in the National Toxic Information System showed a total of 103 cases reported in the city of Recife in the state of Pernambuco. It was observed that about 60.19% of the intoxications were due to individual accidents, there was a predominance in children of 39.8% who had an age range between 1 to 4 years. It was shown that 57.3% were female and 82.5% were urban. Regarding the evolution, it was found that about 40.8% of the patients evolved to cure, 0.97% died, and 54.4% were classified as others. Conclusion: It is essential to make the population aware of the risks related to the toxicity of domestic pesticides, since many consumers are unaware of their real toxic effects, mainly for the safety of children, who in the region presented a greater number of reported cases, together with health professionals in notification of cases of intoxication and thus reduce the risk of death and contamination in the home environment.
