At present, a commercially available magnetic barrel machine equipped with permanent magnets has some faults arising from constructional reason. That is, grinding or finishing ability is different from place to place in the machining region, resulting in the limitation on the region we can use in the container of workpieces. Therefore, in this research, authors made the new magnetic barrel machine equipped with three dimensional (3D) magnet arrangement to overcome these faults. The grinding ability of the new 3D magnetic barrel machine converted was experimentally examined, and compared with that of the traditional magnetic barrel machine. As a result, it was shown that we can use much broader region in the new 3D machine. It was also shown that the grinding ability became higher. The distribution of barrel media in action was recorded by means of a high speed video camera. It was clarified that the media rose up higher and were distributed more uniformly in the container by the effect of the magnet block newly set up. It was supposed that this must be the reason for the above-mentioned improvement of grinding ability.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-indent: 35.45pt;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;" lang="ES-TRAD">In recent years difficulties in the field of teaching have increased considerably, due to what it is known as disruptive classroom behaviour. Proof of this can be seen in the fact that this topic is the focus of numerous recent studies and also in the fact that this question appears frequently in the media. The main purpose of this study is to validate a scale in order to know objectively the views of educational professionals about disruptive classroom behaviours. Taking into account previous literature and working with a </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;" lang="ES-TRAD">panel of experts, a new scale of 15 items was developed. </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;" lang="ES-TRAD">The scale was distributed to a sample composed of 346 professionals with an average age of 43. </span></span></p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'MS Mincho'; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-fareast-language: ES; mso-ansi-language: ES-TRAD; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;" lang="ES-TRAD">An exploratory factor analysis, a principal components analysis and an analysis of correlations between factors were applied. Such analyses </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: ES; mso-ansi-language: ES-TRAD; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;" lang="ES-TRAD">have confirmed that the factorial structure of the scales converges towards the anticipated factors and it reaffirms its weight and confidence level. It can be concluded from this that the scale is valid for measuring the perception of teachers regarding the question being studied. The data indicates an optimum fit of the three-dimensional structure to the items of the scale.</span>

Media merupakan sebuah alat atau objek yang berfungsi sebagai penghubung antara penerima dan pengirim pesan.Media pembelajaran merupakan suatu alat perantara antara pendidik dengan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran yang mampu menghubungkan, memberi informasi dan menyalurkan pesan sehingga tercipta proses pembelajaran efektif dan efisien. Media pembelajaran mengakibatkan terjadinya sebuah komunikasi antara pendidik dan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Apabila dalam proses pembelajaran tidak menggunakan media maka tidak akan terjadi proses pembelajaran.Pemanfaatan media pendidikan menggunakan Augmented Reality dapat merangsang pola pikir peserta didik dalam berpikiran kritis terhadap sesuatu masalah dan kejadian yang ada pada keseharian, karena sifat dari media pendidikan adalah membantu peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran dengan ada atau tidak adanya pendidik dalam proses pendidikan, sehingga pemanfaatan media pendidikan dengan augmented reality dapat secara langsung memberikan pembelajaran dimanapun dan kapanpun peserta didik ingin melaksanakan proses pembelajaran. The three-dimensional vibratory strengthening and polishing technology was used to strengthen and polish aeroengine blades with complicated surfaces. At first, the principle of the strengthening and polishing process was introduced, which combined strengthening process with polishing process. Then, the technological parameters influenced on the surface quality were investigated. The principal variables were the media hardness, the frequency and amplitude of the vibration, and duration of the vibratory strengthening and polishing. The optimum parameters were obtained. Experimental results revealed that, after strengthening and polishing, the surface roughness of aeroengine blades was reduced from Ra0.35-0.5μm to Ra0.1-0.12μm, and fatigue strength was increased by approximately 50%.

Between Day 10 and 12 of gestation, the pig embryo elongates from a sphere to a long thin, filament. During this time, the embryo increases the production of oestrogen via an increase in steroidogenic transcripts, which is critical for maternal recognition of pregnancy. To date, attempts to elongate porcine embryos in vitro have been unsuccessful. Therefore, the objective of this study was to utilise alginate hydrogels to establish a culture system that promotes in vitro embryo elongation with a corresponding increase in steroidogenic transcripts and oestradiol production. In 3 replicate collections, White crossbred gilts (n = 15) were bred at Day 0 of the oestrous cycle. At Day 9 of gestation, reproductive tracts were collected and flushed with RPMI-1640 containing antibiotics. Embryos were recovered, grouped according to size and washed with RPMI-1640 containing antibiotics and 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS). Embryos were randomly assigned to be encapsulated using a double encapsulation technique (0.7% sodium alginate and 1.5% calcium chloride solution) or used as controls. Encapsulated and control embryos were cultured for 96 h in CO2 -pretreated RPMI-1640 containing antibiotics and 10% FBS at 38°C, 5% CO2 in air and 100% humidity. Every 24 h, the embryos were imaged and half of the media was replaced. The removed media was stored at –20°C and used to assess oestradiol levels by radioimmunoassay. At the end of culture, a subset of encapsulated and control embryos were snap frozen and used to assess the expression level of steroidogenic transcripts (STAR, CYP11 and CYP19) using quantitative PCR. All data were analysed using general linear model (GLM) procedures for ANOVA. Cell survival, assessed by blastocyst fragmentation and confirmed by live/dead staining in representative embryos, was greater (P = 0.01) for encapsulated embryos (60.1 ± 4.8%) compared with controls (33.3 ± 4.8%). Of encapsulated embryos, 27% had some morphological change (minor flattening and tubal formation) and 14% had significant morphological changes (considerable flattening and tubal formation elongating through the gel), consistent with in vivo embryo elongation. In contrast, the control embryos had no morphological changes observed and remained spherical during culture. The expression levels of STAR, CYP11 and CYP19 were significantly (P < 0.05) greater in encapsulated embryos compared with control embryos. Furthermore, a significant (P < 0.01) time-dependent increase in oestradiol levels in the culture media of encapsulated embryos was identified compared with controls and culture media alone. These results illustrate that cultured pig embryos encapsulated in alginate hydrogels undergo limited morphological changes with increased expression of steroidogenic transcripts and oestrogen production. †USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.

The arteriovenous anastomoses (AVA) of the cutaneous microcirculation of the hands and feet are fundamental determinants of thermoregulatory blood flow and may be involved in cold intolerance. These direct microvascular studies are an initial characterization of adrenergic receptor subtypes participating in control of AVA in the ears of anesthetized male New Zealand White rabbits. Adrenergic alpha 1-stimulation with phenylephrine produced AVA constriction, whereas terazosin (an alpha 1-antagonist) produced dilation and attenuated the responses to phenylephrine. Adrenergic alpha 2-stimulation with UK-14304 produced constriction of the AVA, whereas atipamezole (an alpha 2-antagonist) produced dilation and attenuated the responses to UK-14304. When equimolar concentrations of antagonists were studied, the AVA dilation produced by alpha 2-blockade was greater than that produced by alpha 1-blockade. Norepinephrine (a mixed alpha 1- and alpha 2-agonist) also produced vasoconstriction, which was attenuated by both prazosin (an alpha 1-antagonist) and atipamezole. In summary, 1) AVA contain a heterogeneous mixture of both alpha 1- and alpha 2-receptors, and 2) alpha 2-receptors may have a greater influence than alpha 1-receptors on overall tone in AVA.

Mathematical simulation of industrial aluminium electrolytic cell operation allows us to predict and indicate the causes of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) instability and bath level skewing, as well as investigate other features of the aluminium electrolysis process. In order to analyse the MHD stability of the electrolytic cell, we adapted a three-dimensional mathematical model that uses a multi-phase approach to describing the media (aluminium, electrolyte and gas) and treats the hydrodynamic, electromagnetic, thermal and electrochemical processes in the bath as interrelated. Our test calculations confirmed that the model is adequate and that the numerical solution proposed converges with sufficient accuracy. The paper describes our numerical investigation results concerning MHD stability of a multi-anode electrolytic cell when its thermal conditions and working space shape configuration change; our simulation included the metal-electrolyte phase interfaces and took into account the MHD instability developing when replacing burnt-out anodes. We estimated how various initial crust configurations affect the MHD stability. We investigated how the process parameters affect the working space shape in the bath, which is a dynamic object, same as the metal-electrolyte interface and the reverse oxidation zone surface. We specifically studied the way changes in potential affect the MHD stable shape of the working space in the bath. We show that varying the potential between any given pair of anodes can change the shape of the working space, that is, crust melts as potential increases, while lowering potential leads to further accretion. As this happens, we note that there is an increase in the vibration magnitudes of the liquid metal and the lower reverse oxidation zone boundary, but these variations are still within the range acceptable in terms of MHD stability of the electrolysis process

The structure in which the welding process is performed highly affects the residual stresses generated in the welding. This effect is simulated by choosing the appropriate boundary conditions in modeling the welding process. The major parameters of the boundary conditions are the method by which the base metal is being fixed and the amount of heat being applied through the torch. Other parameters may include the coefficients of thermal heat loss from the plate which may simulate the media in which the welding is taking place. In modeling the welding process, two-dimensional forms of approximation were developed in analyzing most of the models of such problem. Three-dimensional models analyzing the welding process were developed in limited applications due to its high computation time and cost. With the development of new finite element tools, namely the element movement technique developed by the authors, full three-dimensional analysis of the welding process is becoming in hand. In the present work, three different boundary conditions shall be modeled comparing their effect on the welding. These boundary conditions shall be applied to two models of the welding process: one using the element birth technique and the other using the element movement technique showing the similarity in their responses verifying the effectiveness of the latter being accomplished in a shorter time.

Modeling by paraxial extrapolators is applicable to wave‐propagation problems in which most of the energy is traveling within a restricted angular cone about a principal axis of the problem. Using this technique, frequency‐domain finite‐difference solutions accurate for propagation angles out to 60° are readily generated for both two‐dimensional (2-D) and three‐dimensional (3-D) models. Solutions for 3-D problems are computed by applying the 2-D paraxial operators twice, once along the x‐axis and once along the y‐axis, at each extrapolation step. The azimuthal anisotropy inherent to this splitting technique is essentially eliminated by adding a phase‐correction operator to the extrapolation system. For heterogeneous models, scattering effects are incorporated by determining transmission and reflection coefficients at structural boundaries within the media. The direct forward‐scattered waves are modeled with a single pass of the extrapolation operator in the paraxial direction for each frequency. The first‐order backscattered energy is then modeled by extrapolation (in the opposite direction) of the reflected field determined on the first pass. Higher order scattering can be included by sweeping through the model with more passes. The chief advantages of the paraxial approach are (1) active storage is reduced by one dimension compared to solutions which must track both forward‐scattered and backscattered waves simultaneously; thus, realistic 3-D problems can fit on today’s computers, (2) the decomposition in frequency allows the technique to be implemented on highly parallel machines, (3) attenuation can be modeled as an arbitrary function of frequency, and (4) only a small number of frequencies are needed to produce movie‐like time slices.
