Career development literature that tested the career construction model of adaptation has, thus far, examined adaptability resource as a mediator in the relationship between adaptive readiness and adaptation results; however, there remains a need to elaborate the links between adaptive resources, adapting response, and adaptation results. This research tested a path model among 331 Filipino senior high school students using hope, career adaptability, career engagement, and life satisfaction as measures of adaptive readiness, adaptability resources, adaptive response, and adaptation results, respectively. Analyses revealed a significant serial relationship from hope to life satisfaction through career adaptability and career engagement. Findings suggest that having career-related abilities may not be enough to promote well-being; rather proactive career behaviors may be taken as a route to a satisfying life. Implications on theory, research, and practice are discussed.

This research was aimed to find out ICT media are preferred by high school students in South Bengkulu in learning reading and to describe the reading materials should be used with ICT media. The research design was mixed method quantitative and qualitative with the subjects of this research were 302 high school students and 11 English teachers in South Bengkulu. The instruments of this research were questionairre and open-ended interview. The findings of the research revealed that (1) online ICT media was prefered  by high school students in South Bengkulu in learning reading  and (2)  kinds of text became the reading material that should be used with ICT media. To suggest, a broader field test still needed to be done to achieve a better result and other researchers who are interested in the incorporation of ICT in learning teaching are suggested to conduct further investigation which possibly deals with other language skills.

This study evaluates the empirical applicability of the career construction model of adaptation (CCMA) by collecting evidence about the validity of the Student Career Construction Inventory (SCCI) from a sample of Turkish high school students and examining the relations between adaptive readiness, adaptability resources, adapting responses, and adaptation results. To test the model, we conducted two studies with samples of high school students in Ankara, Turkey ( n 1 = 251; n 2 = 694). In the first study, the SCCI was translated into Turkish and psychometric properties of the inventory were assessed. To validate the four-factor structure of the SCCI Turkish High School Form, two different levels of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were applied to 251 participants. The results of CFA demonstrated that the data for the SCCI Turkish high school sample fit the theoretical model very well. The internal consistency of the SCCI was determined as 0.72 for crystallizing, 0.75 for exploring, 0.85 for deciding, 0.73 for preparing, and 0.90 for the total. In the second study, the CCMA, consisting of four dimensions (adaptive readiness, adaptability resources, adapting responses, and adaptation results), was empirically tested by using the SCCI, which had been tested for validity in the first study. The results of serial mediation analysis supported the CCMA, indicating that adaptive readiness indirectly influenced adaptability resources, adapting responses, and adaptation results.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi berdasarkan pendekatan PBM bagi siswa SMP yang layak, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu pada langkah yang dikembangkan oleh Borg and Gall. Desain pengembangan dikelompokkan dalam lima tahap prosedur pengembangan yang meliputi: studi pendahuluan, desain produk, validasi produk, uji coba terbatas dan luas, dan produk akhir. Subjek uji coba terbatas terdiri atas 10 siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Jawai, sedangkan subjek uji coba luas terdiri atas 20 siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Jawai Selatan Kabupaten Sambas. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi untuk ahli materi dan ahli pembelajaran, lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar respon siswa, angket penilaian guru, dan instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi meliputi: silabus, RPP, buku ajar siswa (BAS), dan instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran (IEP) masuk dalam kategori “baik”; perangkat yang dikembangkan untuk aspek keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, aspek penilaian guru, dan lembar respon siswa dinyatakan praktis dengan seluruh lembar penilaian masuk dalam kategori “baik”; dan dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar aspek sikap, aspek pengetahuan, dan aspek keterampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran berdasarkan pendekatan PBM layak, praktis, dan praktis digunakan sebagai salah satu sumber belajar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks eksposisi. Developing of writing exposition-text teaching kits based on Problem based learning approach for junior high school students AbstractThis study aims to develop of a writing exposition-text teaching kit based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Approach for junior high school students which is appropriate and valid, the feasibility, and the effectiveness. This study used the research and development model developed by Borg and Gall. It consisted of five steps consisting of: preliminary study, product design, validation, limited-test of the product design and field-test of the primary developed-product, and final products. Ten grade VII students of SMPN 1 Jawai involved in limited test, and 20 students of SMPN 2 Jawai Selatan Sambas Regency involved in the field-test of the products. The instruments used to gather the data included a set of validation sheets for the expert (pedagogical and content aspects), observation sheet of teaching-learning process, questionnaire for students’ response, evaluation sheet for the teacher, and a test. The results of the study are the writing exposition-text teaching kit consists of syllabi, lesson plan, students’ book and the assessment in a ‘good’ category; the developed teaching kit is in a ‘good’ category based on the students achievement in teaching learning processes, evaluation from the teacher, and students’ response to the questionnaire; and teaching kit effective in improving students’ achievement in cognitif aspect, students’ skill in writing exposition-text. Hence, the teaching kit based on PBL approach is valid, effective and feasible as learning sources to improve students’ skill in writing exposition-text.

This article describes how proficiency tests administered to senior high school students in the Los Angeles Unified School District were modified for visually handicapped students with the aid of a committee composed of experts in the fields of education and blindness, students, and parents. The authors discuss (1) the legislative mandate for the revisions, (2) concerns with the validity of administering the regular tests to visually handicapped students, (3) the committee's resolution of controversial issues, (4) its recommendations concerning proficiency tests in general and the SHARP and WRITE tests in particular, and (5) the procedures followed to develop, modify, and field test the SHARP.

The aims of this study were (1) to generate PISA mathematics quetions of uncertaint context with the integrated data from LRT, Damri and Transmusi (Trialmusi). (2) is there any potential effect from PISA mathematics questions of uncertain context with the integrated data from LRT, Damri and Transmusi (Trialmusi) towards students’ mathematical literacy abilities of junior high school students. The subjects of this research are the students of junior high school number 1 Palembang. This research applied design research with development study type, with 2 steps, preliminary and formative evaluaions steps. In preliminary step, there were analazying the subject research, curriculum, PISA framework, and designing instrumental questions. In formative evaluation step, there were self evaluation, expert reviews and one to one, small group and field test. The data collection in this research apllied walk trough, documentation, observation, interview and test. This research generated PISA math questions of uncertain context. With the valid and practical integrated data from trialmusi. The validation came from the result of validation assessment, which were from context, construct, language and one to one students’ assessment. Practical came from the result of student understanding towards small group question. Then from the students’ answers in the field test steps.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model-model permainan Aktivitas Luar kelas (ALK) yang layak digunakan sebagai materi pembelajaran penjas, serta efektif untuk mengembangkan ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik siswa SMA. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: (1) pengumpulan informasi di lapangan, (2) menganalisis informasi yang telah dikumpulkan, (3) mengembangkan produk awal, (4) validasi ahli dan revisi, (5) uji coba skala kecil dan  revisi, (6) uji coba skala besar dan revisi, dan (7) pembuatan produk final. Uji coba skala kecil dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas X-D dan XI-IPA 4 dari SMA N I Prambanan berjumlah 66 orang. Uji coba skala besar dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas X-G, X-H, XI-IPS 3, dan XI-BHS dari SMA N I Prambanan berjumlah 132 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu; (1) pedoman wawancara, (2) skala nilai, (3) pedoman observasi permainan, (4) pedoman observasi keefektifan permainan, (5) pedoman observasi terhadap guru pelaku uji coba, dan (6) rubrik penilaian siswa. Teknik analisis data dengan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian berupa tujuh model permainan yang layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran penjas, hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan persentase sebesar 100% dari data hasil kuesioner skala nilai, observasi model permainan, observasi keefektifan permainan, dan observasi guru pelaku uji coba. Model permainan juga efektif untuk mengembangkan ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik, yang dibuktikan dengan terjadinya peningkatan persentase nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 21%. Kata kunci: model, permainan, aktivitas luar kelas, kognitif, afektif, psikomotorik THE OUTDOOR ACTIVITY GAME MODEL TO DEVELOP THE ASPECT OF COGNITIVE, AFFECTIVE, AND PSYCHOMOTOR OF THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS Abstract This study aims at producing outdoor activity game models which are proper to be used for physicall education learning and developing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains for senior high school students. This educational research and development was carried out following the steps of developing research, consisting of: (1) collecting information, (2) information analysis, (3) developing initial product, (4) expert validation and revision, (5) preliminary field test and revision, (6) main field test and revision, and (7) making the final product. The small field try out is done for the students of the class X-H and XI-IPA 3 from SMA N 1 Prambanan, with the total number of students 66. The big field try out is done for the students of class X-G, X-H, XI-IPS, and XI Bahasa from SMA N 1 Prambanan, with the total number students 132. The data instruments collecting which were used were: (1) interview guide, (2) rating scale, (3) observation guide for games observation, (4) observation guide for games effectiveness, and (5) observation guide for perpetrator teachers, (6) scoring rubric for measuring student’s work. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study in the form of seven models of the game are proper and effective to be used in physicall education, this is proved by percentage result about 100% from score scale questioner data, game model observation, observation for the offender trial teacher. Besides, the game is also effective for developing the aspect of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor which is proved by the increasing of percentage average of the students about 21%. A modification of the Paired-Stimuli Parent Program (Florance, 1977) was adapted for the treatment of articulatory errors of visually handicapped children. Blind high school students served as clinical aides. A discussion of treatment methodology, and the results of administrating the program to 32 children, including a two-year follow-up evaluation to measure permanence of behavior change, is presented.
