Fifty one okra F1 hybrids (using 17 lines as female and 3 testers as male parent) were evaluated in RCBD design during two different consecutive seasons (summer and rainy). Phenotypic coefficient of variability (PCV) was higher than genotypic coefficient of variability (GCV) for all studied character exhibiting environmental effects on the expression of characters. Heritability (h2b) along with genetic advance per cent of mean was found highest for character YVMV (86.95% and 150.61%). All the 51 okra hybrids were grouped into 4 distinct clusters in which Cluster II was the largest cluster having 28 F1s (54.90% of total F1s) followed by Cluster I with 14 F1s (27.45% of total F1s). Out of the major 6 PCs, 4 principal components (PC1, PC2, PC3 and PC4) accounted with proportionate values of 22.61, 17.22, 11.87 and 10.63%, respectively and contributed 62.33 % of the cumulative variation having Eigen value more than one. Moreover, based on PCs and genetic divergence in Cluster I and Cluster IV for plant height, YVMV and number of fruit per plant is important to identify the best cross combination (Arka Abhay × Arka Anamika) in okra. Therefore, the best cross combinations for improvement in various economic traits can be recommended on the basis of genetic divergence and principal component analysis in okra.

The Eigen-FLS approach using an eigenspace-based scheme for fast fuzzy logic system (FLS) establishments has been attempted successfully in speech pattern recognition. However, speech pattern recognition by Eigen-FLS will still encounter a dissatisfactory recognition performance when the collected data for eigen value calculations of the FLS eigenspace is scarce. To tackle this issue, this paper proposes two improved-versioned Eigen-FLS methods, incremental MLED Eigen-FLS and EigenMLLR-like Eigen-FLS, both of which use a linear interpolation scheme for properly adjusting the target speaker’s Eigen-FLS model derived from an FLS eigenspace. Developed incremental MLED Eigen-FLS and EigenMLLR-like Eigen-FLS are superior to conventional Eigen-FLS especially in the situation of insufficient data from the target speaker.

The shaft misalignment, even being a common fault in rotating machinery, is not sufficiently studied. The present work addresses effects of misalignment in rotating machinery. An attempt to give a theoretical model for a rotor-coupling-bearing system has been done. The rotor-bearing system including the flexible coupling is modelled using the finite elements. The reaction forces and moments developed due to flexible coupling misalignment both for parallel and angular are derived and introduced in the model. Vibration analyses such as eigen value analysis and unbalance response are carried out for the rotor system with misaligned shafts.

Dalam  pelaksanaan  proyek  konstruksi  tepat waktu,  dapat dipastikan menguntungkan  kedua  belah  pihak,  oleh  sebab  itu  perusahaan  yang  baik  akan  selalu berusaha melaksanakan sesuai waktu yang telah ditetapkan atau berusaha meminimalkan keterlambatan  dengan  memilih  tindakan  koreksi  yang  perlu  dilakukan  dan mengambil keputusan berdasarkan  analisa dari berbagai faktor. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi  dan menganalisa  faktor-faktor  yang mempengaruhi  pelaksanaan proyek.     Hasil  analisa  data  menunjukan  ada  enam  sub  faktor    utama  yang  sangat berpengaruh terhadap kinerja waktu pelaksanaan proyek konstruksi gedung di kota Bukittinggi,   sub faktor tersebut adalah Keterlambatan  pengiriman  Barang dengan nilai Eigen Value sebesar 28,269 %, Kekurangan Bahan Konstruksi dengan nilai Eigen Value sebesar 16,294 %, Kualitas Bahan yang kurang baik dengan nilai Eigen Value sebesar 13,492%, Kerusakan bahan ditempat penyimpanan dengan nilai Eigen Value sebesar 7,796 %, Ketidak tepatan waktu pemesanan dengan nilai Egien Valua sebesar 6,648 %, Keterlambatan pengiriman / penyediaan peralatan dengan nilai Eigen Value sebesar 6,466 % Untuk mengatasi keterlambatan  ini,  pihak - pihak yang  terlibat dalam pembangunan proyek  konstruksi  gedung  harus  melakukan  beberapa  cara atau  strategi  diantaranya    : Penjadwalan  pengiriman  material  yang harus  benar  benar  tersusun  dengan  teratur  dan efektif , mengantisipasi dengan cepat terhadap kekurangan maerial dilapangan,   menjaga kualitas barang yang dikirim ke proyek agar mengikuti spesifikasi yang ada,  menyediakan tempat  penyimpanan  material  yang layak  dan  memadai,  menyusun  jadwal  permintaan material dari lapangan yang tepat, menyediakan peralatan utama yang dibutuhkan sesuai dengan waktu pelaksanaan pekerjaan .Kata Kunci : Management konstruksi, Faktor keterlambatan waktu

Abstract A two dimensional Cartesian model of a generalized thermo-microstretch elastic solid subjected to impulsive force has been studied. The eigen value approach is employed after applying the Laplace and Fourier transforms on the field equations for L-S and G-L model of the plain strain problem. The integral transforms have been inverted into physical domain numerically and components of normal displacement, normal force stress, couple stress and microstress have been illustrated graphically.

This research is aimed at identifying the amount of the ability dimensions contained in the Test of English Proficiency (TOEP), particularly in the listening section. This study is an explorative descriptive quantitative research. The data of the study are the responses of the TOEP participants in the whole Indonesia in 2010, in some TOEP components. The participants are grade IX students of senior high schools. The collected data were gained from the data documentation of the Diretorate of Senior High Schools Founding of the National Education Ministry, Jakarta. The data analysis for identifying the dimension was done by implementing exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The exploratory factor analysis was done by using SPSS computer program. The result of the research shows that of the seven sets of listening which were analyzed, all of them contain listening dominant dimension if they are analyzed using graphics method, explainable variance, and Eigen value ratio.

DKI Jakarta selain merupakan Ibukota Negara Indonesia juga menjadi pusat bisnis dan pemerintahan dengan jumlah penduduk mencapai 10.374.235 jiwa dan kepadatan penduduk mencapai 15.663 orang per . Dinamika kota-kota besar dengan karakter pertumbuhan penduduk dan kepadatan lalu lintas yang tinggi membuat kebutuhan terhadap pengembangan sistem transportasi terutama transportasi massal cepat (Mass Rapid Transportation-MRT) menjadi cukup besar. Selain itu, pengembangan sistem transportasi ini juga untuk mengimbangi pertumbuhan kendaraan pribadi yang terus mengalami peningkatan sedangkan sistem moda shares angkutan umum cenderung mengalami penurunan hingga 3% sejak tahun 2002. Saat ini, terdapat upaya pengembangan sistem angkutan umum massal berbasis jalan dan berbasis rel berdasarkan RTRW DKI Jakarta 2010-2030. Berkaitan dengan kondisi tersebut perlu adanya kajian terhadap penilaian pelayanan transportasi umum guna menarik masyarakat dalam menggunakannya agar permasalahan lalu lintas yang ada dapat terselesaikan. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain adalah mengetahui karakteristik masyarakat yang memiliki preferensi dalam menggunakan moda MRT dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi preferensi masyarakat dalam menggunakan moda MRT. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis statistic deskriptif dan analisis faktor. Berdasarkan hasil analisa diketahui masyarakat yang memiliki preferensi untuk menggunakan moda MRT sebesar 98% dengan karakter sebagian besar berjenis kelamin Laki-laki, rentang usia 25-35 Tahun, jenis pekerjaan pegawai swasta, dan tingkat penghasilan ≥Rp.4.000.000. Tujuan perjalanan menuju perkantoran, dan memiliki keperluan perjalanan untuk bekerja. Selanjutnya dari analisis faktor dihasilkan 17 kelompok faktor yang mempengaruhi preferensi masyarakat dalam menggunakan moda MRT, dengan kelompok faktor nomor 1 yang memiliki tingkat variasi eigen value tertinggi.

Abstract This paper deals with deformation in homogeneous, thermally conducting, single-crystal orthotropic twins, bounded symmetrically along a plane containing only one common crystallographic axis. The Fourier transforms technique is applied to basic equations to form a vector matrix differential equation, which is then solved by the eigen value approach. The solution obtained is applied to specific problems of an orthotropic twin crystal subjected to triangular loading. The components of displacement, stresses and temperature distribution so obtained in the physical domain are computed numerically. A numerical inversion technique has been used to obtain the components in the physical domain. Particular cases as quasi-static thermo-elastic and static thermoelastic as well as special cases are also discussed in the context of the problem.


Many damping controller devices based on other techniques have been proposed time to time. For the study of the damping performance, it has been proposed a power systems model with ‘UPFC’ and power oscillation damping controller in the present article. The proposed controller performance has been studied under different simulation condition results and that also includes various loading condition, i.e., normal with 100 percent, under loading 80 percent and overloading with 120 percent at different operational points. Finally, a better result has been observed by using the proposed damping controlling device than earlier available existing devices. However, the result obtained by using Eigen value analysis is supported by the facts obtained by the settling time analysis and the analysis of simulation results
