The purpose of this article is to present a general overview of the features of drug-induced movement disorders (DIMDs) comprised by Parkinsonism and extrapyramidal symptoms. Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) who work with patients presenting with these issues must have a broad understanding of the underlying disease process. This article will provide a brief introduction to the neuropathophysiology of DIMDs, a discussion of the associated symptomatology, the pharmacology implicated in causing DIMDs, and the medical management approaches currently in use.

The Impact

Enormous successes have been obtained against the control of major epidemic diseases, such as SARS, MERS, Ebola, Swine Flu in the past. Dynamic interplay of biological, socio-cultural and ecological factors, together with novel aspects of human-animal interphase, pose additional challenges with respect to the emergence of infectious diseases. The important challenges faced in the control and prevention of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases range from understanding the impact of factors that are necessary for the emergence, to development of strengthened surveillance systems that can mitigate human suffering and death. The aim of the current study is to assess the awareness of symptomatic differences between viral diseases like COVID-19, SARS, Swine flu and common cold among dental students that support the prevention of emergence or re-emergence. Cross-sectional type of study conducted among the undergraduate students comprising 100 Subjects. A questionnaire comprising 15 questions in total were framed, and responses were collected in Google forms in SPSS Software statistical analysis. The study has concluded that dental students have an awareness of the symptomatic differences between infectious viral disease. The study concluded that the awareness of symptomatic differences between viral diseases like COVID-19, SARS, Swine flu, Common cold is good among the dental students who would pave the way for early diagnosis and avoid spreading of such diseases. A further awareness can be created by regular webinars, seminars and brainstorming sessions among these healthcare professionals.

Abstract This paper analyzes canon 3 of the council of Pisa of 1135, with which the trade in persons is prohibited, pointing out that this prohibition must be considered valid also for the sale of inhabitants of Corsica, be they men or women. After having drawn up a general overview of the council, it will focus on the text of the third canon to understand the reasons that led the council fathers to deal with the subject of slavery, firmly defending the Corsican population, considered as a “minority” victim of a political and economic system. As we will try to show, the text of this canon is a unicum of its kind and is fully inserted within the panorama of the Church’s teaching on the subject of slavery, adding a new piece to the mosaic of what was already known about the work of the ecclesiastical institution on this subject.

Аннотация: В статье предлагается общий обзор двуязычия в Кыргызской Республике и необходимости изучения иностранных языков для развития толерантной личности. Особое внимание уделяется языковым навыкам обучающихся как одному из важных условий развития страны в целом. Соблюдение координации в преподавании иностранного, русского и родного языков является одним из главных стимулов поддержания и повышения интереса к изучению языков. Владение несколькими языками дает человеку способность осуществлять коммуникативную деятельность и стремиться к расширению лингвистического мировоззрения. Многоязыковая коммуникативная способность населения также может рассматриваться как одно из условий экономического роста в республике. The article offers a general overview of bilingualism in the Kyrgyz Republic and the need to learn foreign languages for advancing tolerance in a society. Special attention is paid to the language skills of people as one of the important development conditions of the country itself. Compliance with coordination in the teaching of the English, Russian and Kyrgyz languages is one of the main ways to maintain and increase interest in the study of languages. Knowledge of several languages gives a person an ability to carry out communicative activities and strive to expand own linguistic worldview. Multilingual communicative capacity of the local population can also be considered as one of the conditions for economic growth in the country.
