This paper is based on a Senior Scholar presentation delivered at the 2020 annual meeting of the North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity. The paper begins with a summary of the research work completed by the author and coinvestigators in regard to the influences that significant others (parents, peers, and coaches) exert on the psychosocial well-being of individuals in sport and physical activity. In each of these three areas, illustrative research studies are summarized in a predominantly chronological order with a commentary at the end of each section that identifies unanswered questions and suggests future research directions. In the second section, four particular lessons learned by the author over the course of a scholarly career are identified and explained.

In this paper it is proposed that similarly with the evolution and maturation of any organization, the Linking and Management of Technology Office (L & MoT) of a public R&D Mexican Centre has been evolved and is in the way to be transformed into a Technology Transfer Office (TTO). Case of fifteen year evolution of the Centro de Ciencias Aplicadas y Desarrollo Tecnológico L & MoT presents empirical evidence to identify the main phases and actions that have been driving this process along this time. Standard results obtained through the years using the L & MoT Management of Technology Model (MoT) are presented. Emphasis is placed in a final section with the lessons obtained from non-standard results coming from unsuccessful negotiations and failed link actions between the Center and some external organizations. Experience has shown that not all negotiations are successful but curiously, the best lessons for the personnel of a technology transfer office are probably derived from these problematic cases.

Abstract BACKGROUND A3-A3 side-to-side bypass is an intracranial-to-intracranial (IC-IC) revascularization option when aneurysm treatment involves occlusion of one anterior cerebral artery (ACA). OBJECTIVE To describe applications of A3-A3 side-to-side bypass in the management of ACA true and pseudoaneurysms along with a review of pertinent literature. METHODS Six consecutive patients undergoing an A3-A3 bypass as part of their aneurysm management, representing a single-surgeon experience in a 2-yr period, were included in this retrospective review of a prospectively collected database. RESULTS Three male and three female patients with a median (range) age of 41.5 (11-69) years representing four ruptured and two unruptured aneurysms were included. Two of the aneurysms were communicating while four were postcommunicating from which three were pseudoaneurysms. Complete aneurysm obliteration was achieved in 5/6 cases. Bypass patency was evaluated in all cases intra- and postoperatively. Good outcomes (modified Rankin Scale score ≤ 2) at follow-up were observed in 4/6 patients. An improvement in mRS scores at the most recent follow-up as compared to preoperative status was achieved in three while scores remained the same in two patients. Ischemic complications related to aneurysm treatment were observed in two patients, both of which achieved good functional recovery upon follow-up. One patient deceased postoperatively due to progression of vasospasm-related infarcts. CONCLUSION A3-A3 bypass in the management of true as well as pseudoaneurysms of the ACA can achieve good postoperative outcomes in selected patients. Prompt diagnosis and aggressive surgical treatment needs to be pursued if a vessel injury with pseudoaneurysm formation is suspected.

The routing protocol for low-power and lossy networks (RPL) has gained prominence as the standard IoT routing protocol. However, it faces like many other routing protocols diverse attacks. Many studies have been proposed to secure the RPL protocol, and simulation studies have been put forward as the main research method, while testbed experiments, though an authentic research and testing method, have been ignored. Although testbed experiments and simulation studies have their strengths and limitations, testbed techniques could be used as a verifiable validation method for simulation studies. This study is a follow up research work to validate our simulation study, which addressed Blackhole attacks in the RPL routing protocol. In addition, Selective Forwarding attacks are also addressed. It implements a testbed while embedding our Trust-based RPL protocol and the standard RPL protocol in a smart environment configuration. Based on the test experiments, we provide a proof-of-concept of the validity of our claim that our Trust-based RPL protocol provides a comprehensive defence (simulation and testbed) against Blackhole and Selective Forwarding attacks.

Abstract : The communities regard this tradition as an heritage from ancestor that must be kept and preserved, because in this culture there is point must be keeping, so the younger’s in this village follow up this merariq tradition, although have been  moving in this custom a little, but this tradition keep moving by the society. This is special thing that interesting to get research from merariq tradition that is how the custom concept organizing the community thinking concept to preserving and receiving merariq compared with the developing situation now.The focus in this research is how the custom or tradition of merariq is done, what is the meaning of custom of merariq by Batunyala’s communities and what caused this tradition have been doing by Batunyala’s communities.. The method is used in this research is qualitative and using descriptive type to describe the social phenomena is happened in the site of research. The data collecting technique’s are used like observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this research are got is the ceremonials of custom of merariq are started with doing merariq, sejati/selabar, mbait wali, nikahang mbait janji, sorong serah, nyongkolan, and the last is balik lampak nae ceremony by community. The merariq tradition have much meaning that is: merariq have the value to make special for woman, have social messages, have messages to respect one another and grateful to god, have message to educate, and moral messages, merariq is the way to show brave and responsibility attitudes. And then, in this research, the communities factors are cause the preserving of merariq tradition are: 1) custom factors, 2) parent factors, 3) religion factors, 4) economic factors (fee), and 5) willing factors from the woman.
