  Law on National Development Planning System (Number 25/2004) mandates that Development planning must refer to the consideration that the goal of development of all government levels is the same, namely the welfare of the community. Empowerment is a concept to give people greater responsibility for how to do work. The potential of Sukaratu village consists of agriculture, livestock, tourism objects, handicrafts, cultivation and plantations. Among these potentials, the authors take the economic empowerment potential of cultivating black soldier fly maggot as an alternative ingredients for fish feed and reducing organic waste, so that it can increase the income of the people of Sukaratu. The research method used is qualitative and quantitative research; observation and interviews in an effort to obtain data. The results showed that the potential of Sukaratu village consisted of agriculture, animal husbandry, tourism objects, handicrafts, cultivation and plantations, the potential of human resources in terms of age and education was good, but in terms of business creativity and business skills, need to be improved. Maggot cultivation can reduce organic waste. The capital is not large enough because it only requires terraced media and houses that are given nets for broodstock to lay eggs.

Concrete with various variants is a basic requirement in building a building. The concrete mixture is diverse depending on the planning made beforehand. The cement mixture is usually in the form of a mixture of artificial stone, cement, water and fine aggregates and coarse aggregates. Aggregates (fine aggregates and coarse aggregates) function as fillers in concrete mixtures. (Subakti, A., 1994). However, in building construction, additives are often added, but there is still a sense of uncertainty at the time of dismantling the mold and the reference before the concrete reaches sufficient strength to carry its own weight and the carrying loads acting on it. To overcome the time of carrying out work related to concrete, it is necessary to find an alternative solution, for example by looking for alternative ingredients of concrete mixture on the basis of consideration without reducing the quality of the concrete. From the results of previous studies it was stated that due to the partial replacement of cement with Fly Ash, the strength of the pressure and tensile strength of the concrete had increased (Budhi Saputro, A., 2008). Based on the description above, the author seeks to examine how the compressive strength of concrete characteristics that occur by adding additives Addition H.E in the concrete mixture and is there any additive Additon H.E effect on the increase in the compressive strength characteristic of the concrete. From the results of the study, it was found that the compressive strength of the concrete with the addition of additives HE was that after the compressive strength test of the concrete cube was carried out and the analysis of concrete compressive strength of 10 specimens, in each experiment a cube specimen was made with the addition of additons. HE with a dose of 80 cc, 120 cc, and 200 cc can accelerate and increase the compressive strength of concrete characteristics.

Since long ago Indonesia used nutritious plants as traditional medicines. Various types of plants in Indonesia can be used as alternative ingredients, one of which is aloe vera. Aloe vera contains saponin and anthraquinone, so aloe vera leaves function as antiseptic and antibacteria. Staphylococcus aureus is a gram-positive coccus bacteria. This bacterium is often found as a normal germ flora in humans. Staphylococcus aureus can cause infections in humans and animals. This study aims to determine the effect of ethanolic extract of Aloe vera leaves in inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus by using maceration extract method. The concentrations used were 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% with positive control (Erytromycin) and negative control (aquades). The inhibitory zone analysis is done using the table method. Test of ethanol extract of Aloe vera leaves in inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus produced inhibition zones at concentrations of 60%, 80% and 100% with average diameter of 6.94 mm, 6.22 mm and 9.5 mm. The conclusion of this research is the ethanolic extract of Aloe vera leaves can inhibit Staphylococcus aureus in high concentrations

The continued growth of intensive aquaculture is dependent on the development of sustainable protein sources to replace conventional fish meals in aquafeeds. Practical alternatives are plant-derived protein, protein from micro-organisms and protein from under-utilized marine resources. The challenges are to find alternative ingredients with high protein, suitable amino acid content, high palatability and absence of anti-nutritional factors. There is considerable biotechnology-based research in this area, including genetic modification of plant-based proteins, use of probiotics to enhance digestibility and the renewed application of fermentation technologies to produce single cell proteins. Research in Oman is focused on the utilization of marine protein resources. Fisheries by-catch and processing waste have been evaluated as liquid hydrolysates and as meals for inclusion in aquafeeds and new research is planned on the utilization of meso-pelagic fish (myctophids), which occur in abundance in the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman. Initial studies have been conducted on the biochemical composition of the lantern fish, Benthosema pterotum, which revealed favorable protein, amino acid and long-chain PUFA content. Potential limiting factors were high levels of saturated lipids and the heavy metals arsenic and cadmium. These results will be discussed within a general review of marine resources and aquafeed development in Oman.

As cereal and protein sources suffer a price increase worldwide, the use of alternative ingredients in feeds has become increasingly appealing to the animal industry. Dried distillers' grain and solubles (DDGS) have been one of the ingredients which demand has dramatically increased over the last few years. In fact, the supply of maize DDGS is expected to increase to about 38.6 mmt by 2019-2020. The presence of mycotoxins in these by-products has been a matter of concern raised by their ubiquitous use. A rule of thumb typically used in the field is that the concentration of mycotoxins in the final by-product is about three times higher than that of the original raw material, which may be scientifically backed up by the fact that the remaining portions within the by-product are those which had a higher concentration of mycotoxins (outer portions of the grain). This paper is the outcome of a five-year study during which a total of 409 maize DDGS samples sourced worldwide were analysed for the mycotoxins of major importance which cause the great negative impacts in animal performance and health: aflatoxins (a sum of aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, G2), zearalenone, deoxynivalenol, a sum fumonisins B1 and B2 and ochratoxin A. From the total of samples tested, only 2% of the analysed DDGS showed contamination levels below the limit of detection (negative samples). 6% of samples had the presence of 1 mycotoxin only and the majority (92% of the samples) was contaminated with 2 or more mycotoxins.

The effects of feeding concentrates with alternative ingredients to cereal and soybean meal on growth performance, carcass characteristics and meat quality traits of feedlot lambs were studied. A total of 105 non-castrated male lambs were randomly assigned to one of three treatments (5 replicates per treatment): Control (CON, similar to commercial concentrates), Camelina (CAM, where camelina meal replaced 50% of the crude protein from the soybean meal in the CON concentrate), and Fibrous (FIB, concentrate without cereals and soybean meal, with camelina meal in addition to several by-products, and 20% less energy). The CAM treatment performed as well as the CON one. The FIB treatment increased feed conversion rate and tended to improve the redness and the oxidative stability. The CAM and FIB were economically more favourable. We found that a concentrate for feedlot lambs based on alternative ingredients, including several by-products, could be a feasible alternative to typical cereal-soybean meal-based concentrates.
