AbstractThis chapter aims to put creative methods into the context of wider trends in university institutions. As managerialism—here understood as the application of corporate values and practices into all sectors of society—continues to play a large role in the production and creation of knowledge, we argue that creative methods have the potential to either subvert or reinforce these trends. We see the entrenchment of managerialism as contradictory to the stated aims of the application of creative methods in knowledge production. In an attempt to avoid this, we provide a picture and discuss the institutional framework in which creative methods are deployed to understand and critique the values and practices of managerialism in academia. We point towards the constraints it places on those who wish to take a creative approach. First, we provide an historical accounting of how managerial values have contributed to de-politicization in the wider public sphere, with a particular focus on academia. Second, we outline the fundamental properties of the managerial university, summarized as: (i) accountability, (ii) competition, and (iii) obedience. Third, we sketch out a definition of forced creativity and illustrate two applied cases of how it might look in practice: “artwashing” and “funding tricks”. This section is meant to contribute to defining “truly” creative methods by spelling out what they are not. Finally, we summarize our main points and provide future directions of discussion.

The psychology of forgiveness originated from the creative and important work on the development of justice initiated by Piaget in 1932 and extended by Kohlberg in 1969. The scientific study of forgiveness is quite new, having emerged in print in 1989, with an examination of the developmental progression in children’s, adolescents’, and adults’ thinking about the necessary conditions for them to offer forgiveness to another person. In this chapter, the authors first review the definition of forgiveness, followed by this early cognitive work. They then turn to a discussion of the measurement of forgiveness correlates of forgiveness. The practical application of this construct is seen in the development of forgiveness therapy and forgiveness education, which the authors discuss in light of the empirical findings. Future directions for forgiveness studies are considered.

AbstractIn this short note we present a new general definition of local fractional derivative, that depends on an unknown kernel. For some appropriate choices of the kernel we obtain some known cases. We establish a relation between this new concept and ordinary differentiation. Using such formula, most of the fundamental properties of the fractional derivative can be derived directly.

This paper aims to mark out new concepts of r-single valued neutrosophic sets, called r-single valued neutrosophic £-closed and £-open sets. The definition of £-single valued neutrosophic irresolute mapping is provided and its characteristic properties are discussed. Moreover, the concepts of £-single valued neutrosophic extremally disconnected and £-single valued neutrosophic normal spaces are established. As a result, a useful implication diagram between the r-single valued neutrosophic ideal open sets is obtained. Finally, some kinds of separation axioms, namely r-single valued neutrosophic ideal-Ri (r-SVNIRi, for short), where i={0,1,2,3}, and r-single valued neutrosophic ideal-Tj (r-SVNITj, for short), where j={1,2,212,3,4}, are introduced. Some of their characterizations, fundamental properties, and the relations between these notions have been studied.

ABSTRACTThe recent attempt at a physical interpretation of non-Riemannian spaces by Einstein (1, 2) has stimulated a study of these spaces (3–8). The usual definition of a non-Riemannian space is one of n dimensions with which is associated an asymmetric fundamental tensor, an asymmetric linear affine connexion and a generalized curvature tensor. We can also consider an n-dimensional space with which is associated a complex symmetric fundamental tensor, a complex symmetric affine connexion and a generalized curvature tensor based on these. Some aspects of this space can be compared with those of a Riemann space endowed with two metrics (9). In the following the fundamental properties of this non-Riemannian manifold will be developed, so that the relation between the geometry and physical theory may be studied.

Simulation games, as a method of playful learning, have been used for more than 70 years in various disciplines with the economy as a leading application field. Their development has been tied with advances in computer science, and nowadays, hundreds of simulation games exist. However, simulation games are not just useful for encouraging disciplinary knowledge production; they also promise to be effective tools for interdisciplinary collaboration. To further explore these promises, we report on the design and playing of a simulation game on the boundary of geoinformatics and business and economics; an interdisciplinary field we have termed Spationomy. Within this game, students from different disciplinary (and cultural) backgrounds applied their knowledge and skills to tackle interdisciplinary problems. In this paper, we also analyze students’ feedback on the game to complement this aspect. The main goal is to discuss the design process that went into creating the game as well as experiences from play sessions in relation to this increase of interdisciplinary knowledge among students. In the end, we present a new gaming concept based on real-world data that can be played in other interdisciplinary situations. Here, students´ feedback on individual features of the game helped to identify future directions in the development of our simulation game.

AbstractThis paper considers the definition and the properties of the generalized natural transform on sets of generalized functions. Convolution products, convolution theorems, and spaces of Boehmians are described in a form of auxiliary results. The constructed spaces of Boehmians are achieved and fulfilled by pursuing a deep analysis on a set of delta sequences and axioms which have mitigated the construction of the generalized spaces. Such results are exploited in emphasizing the virtual definition of the generalized natural transform on the addressed sets of Boehmians. The constructed spaces, inspired from their general nature, generalize the space of integrable functions of Srivastava et al. (Acta Math. Sci. 35B:1386–1400, 2015) and, subsequently, the extended operator with its good qualitative behavior generalizes the classical natural transform. Various continuous embeddings of potential interests are introduced and discussed between the space of integrable functions and the space of integrable Boehmians. On another aspect as well, several characteristics of the extended operator and its inversion formula are discussed.

Сформулированы предложения, направленные на совершенствование данного института. The article deals with the problems of public finance. The definition of state financial resources is given. The process of development of interbudgetary relations in the Russian Federation, as a result of which the institution of regulation of financial resources of the state was formed, is characterized. Proposals are formulated aimed at improving this institution.

The authors review evidence and suggest future directions for research on the learning patterns of disadvantaged children. After a detailed description of a specific case of research, some implications for educational policy are discussed. The authors take issue with James S. Coleman's definition of the concept of "equal educational opportunity"and advance an alternative definition. The problem of achieving a useful definition of the term "disadvantaged"is addressed throughout the paper.

Policy assessment in Morocco is a recent method to measure the performance of public budget. It is considred as a new form of control of the effictiveness and efficiency of goverment expenditure. However, polemics have intensified about the content and the method of this new practice of control. The conception of an institutional framework of evaluation of public policy evaluation, has stood up to the multiplicity of its stakeholders. The double identity of the evaluative approach, proclaimed by public administration and parliament, made the definition of this practice problematic. Recently, The initiation of the ILDH programmes performance audit recently, has given gave a new path to follow, so as to get to the reality of the goverment evaluative action in Morocco.

. The review deals with the problem of Orthodox fundamentalism in the discussion of Englishspeaking authors of different denominations, representatives of canonical and non-canonical Orthodox churches, which took place in theological discussions, in journalism and at scientific conferences mainly in recent years. The main materials are first introduced into the scientific circulation in Russian. The concepts of fundamentalism in Orthodoxy in the foreign press are presented; the definitions of Orthodox fundamentalism, the main theses of opponents and their argumentation are given. Frequently, the word “fundamentalism” in relation to Orthodoxy is used as a banal nickname for those opponents who have traditional or conservative beliefs, are prone to “ritualism”, shows intolerance and lack of readiness for dialogue, including ecumenical. However, since the beginning of the 21st century, theologians, priests and scholars have been trying to give a stricter definition of such fundamentalism as a phenomenon of the modern era, especially in its demise. It is primarily about the attitude to the works of the holy fathers of the Church. It is expressed, in particular, the opinion that the veneration of patristic writings, along with the resolutions of the Councils (which constitutes the Holy Tradition) should be revised. However, the concept of “Orthodox fundamentalism”, as follows from the given review, has not yet been formed. But one can speak of such signs of it, connected, in particular, with a wide exit to the public sphere of mass consciousness, as the striving to minimize theological provisions, absolutization of some provisions of dogma to the detriment of others, and the logos (modern) reading of the myth.
