A self-contained mechanical system for circulating nutrient fluid through 12 tissue culture chambers is described in detail. This system utilizes nonperforated cellophane membranes in the chambers which separate the circulating nutrient from the tissue culture environments. The nutrient, therefore, is dialyzed through the cellophane of each chamber; some cell products are retained in the microenvironment between the closely apposed cellophane and cover slip, whereas the other cell products move from chamber to chamber in the circulating nutrient. The resultant environmental conditions directed by the circumfusion systems are highly favorable for maintaining the differentiation of chick embryo tissues over protracted periods; a number of micrographs are shown.

The trend of scientific development in the future cannot fail to mention the great influence of the space field, but in the immediate future, the observational satellite systems are related to communication technology. In fact, in some countries with strong development of communication technology and space technology, the mechanical system of geostationary satellite monitoring antennas has certainly been thoroughly resolved. However, because of a specific technology, the sharing and transferring of design and manufacturing technology to developing countries is a great challenge. It is almost difficult to find published works related to mechanical design calculation and manufacture of geostationary satellite monitoring antenna systems. The problem of proactive grasping of technology, step by step autonomy in manufacturing technology of telecommunications equipment related to space technology has always been the goal of developing countries like Vietnam to limit technology dependence, minimizing technology transfer costs, ensuring national security. The first step in these problems is the autonomous construction of terrestrial transceivers such as geostationary satellite monitoring antennas. This paper presents the kinematics modeling analysis of the mechanical system of the geostationary satellite monitoring antenna. Each component of the antenna system is assumed a rigid body. The mathematical model is built based on multi-bodies kinematics and dynamics theory. The DENAVIT-HARTENBERG (D-H) homogeneous matrix method was used to construct the kinematics equations. The forward kinematics problem is analyzed to determine the position, velocity, acceleration, and workspace of the antenna system with given system motion limits. The inverse kinematics problem is mentioned to determine the kinematics behaviors of the antenna system with a given motion path in the workspace. The numerical simulation results kinematics were successfully applied in practice, especially for dynamics and control system analysis of geostationary satellite antenna systems.

In recent years, with electron microscopes coming into wider use, their installation environments do not necessarily give their performance full play. Their environmental conditions include air-conditioners, magnetic fields, and vibrations. We report a jointly developed entirely new vibration isolator which is effective against the vibrations transmitted from the floor.Conventionally, large-sized vibration isolators which need the digging of a pit have been used. These vibration isolators, however, are large present problems of installation and maintenance because of their large-size.Thus, we intended to make a vibration isolator which1) eliminates the need for changing the installation room2) eliminates the need of maintenance and3) are compact in size and easily installable.

To form a necessary geometry of a hollow billet to be rolled at a pipe rolling line, stable dynamics of the base equipment of the automatic mill working stand has a practical meaning. Among the forces, acting on its parts and elements, significant by value short-time dynamic loads are the least studied phenomena. These dynamic loads arise during transient interaction of the hollow billet, rollers, mandrel and other mill parts at the forced grip of the hollow billet. Basing of the calculation scheme and dynamic model of the mechanical system of the ТПА 350 automatic mill working stand was accomplished. A mathematical model of dynamics of the system “hollow billet (pipe) – working stand” within accepted calculation scheme and dynamic model of the mechanical system elaborated. Influence of technological load of the rolled hollow billet variation in time was accounted, as well as variation of the mechanical system mass, and rigidity of the ТПА 350 automatic mill working stand. Differential equations of oscillation movement for four-mass model of forked sub-systems of the automatic mill working stand were made up, results of their digital calculation quoted. Dynamic displacement of the stand elements in the inter-roller gap obtained, which enabled to estimate the results of amplitude and frequency characteristics of the branches of the mill rollers setting. It was defined by calculation, that the maximum amplitude of the forced oscillations of elements of the ТПА 350 automatic mill working stand within the inter-roller gap does not exceed 2 mm. It is much higher than the accepted value of adjusting parameters of the deformation center of the ТПА 350 automatic mill. A scheme of comprehensive modernization of the rollers setting in the ТПА 350 automatic mill working stand was proposed. It was shown, that increase of rigidity of rollers setting in the ТПА 350 automatic mill working stand enables to stabilize the amplitude of forced oscillations of the working stand elements within the inter-rollers gap and considerably decrease the induced nonuniform hollow billet wall thickness and increase quality of the rolled pipes at ТПА 350.

The influence of environmental conditions on a sound pressure reproduced by the primary method in the measuring chambers of the Pistonphone in the frequency range from 1 mHz to 250 Hz is estimated. Numerical estimations of influence of environmental conditions on sound pressure in pistonphone measuring chambers are given and special requirements to system of maintenance of required external conditions are specified.

Stable carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) isotopes in plants are important indicators of plant water use efficiency and N acquisition strategies. While often regarded as being under environmental control, there is growing evidence that evolutionary history may also shape variation in stable isotope ratios (δ13C and δ15N) among plant species. Here we examined patterns of foliar δ13C and δ15N in alpine tundra for 59 species in 20 plant families. To assess the importance of environmental controls and evolutionary history, we examined if average δ13C and δ15N predictably differed among habitat types, if individual species exhibited intraspecific trait variation (ITV) in δ13C and δ15N, and if there were a significant phylogenetic signal in δ13C and δ15N. We found that variation among habitat types in both δ13C and δ15N mirrored well-known patterns of water and nitrogen limitation. Conversely, we also found that 40% of species exhibited no ITV in δ13C and 35% of species exhibited no ITV in δ15N, suggesting that some species are under stronger evolutionary control. However, we only found a modest signal of phylogenetic conservatism in δ13C and no phylogenetic signal in δ15N suggesting that shared ancestry is a weaker driver of tundra wide variation in stable isotopes. Together, our results suggest that both evolutionary history and local environmental conditions play a role in determining variation in δ13C and δ15N and that considering both factors can help with interpreting isotope patterns in nature and with predicting which species may be able to respond to rapidly changing environmental conditions.
