Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by high glycemic levels for long periods. This disease has a high prevalence in the world population, being currently observed an increase in its incidence. This fact is mainly due to the sedentary lifestyle and hypercaloric diets. Non-pharmacological interventions for glycemic control include exercise, which promotes changes in skeletal muscle and adipocytes. Thus, increased glucose uptake by skeletal muscle and decreased insulin resistance through modulating adipocytes are the main factors that improve glycemic control against diabetes. Conclusion: It was sought to elucidate mechanisms involved in the improvement of glycemic control in diabetics in front of the exercise.

Now a days due to sedentary lifestyle and lack of time, people cannot concentrate on their proper regimen and people undergo many unwanted practices like faulty dietary habits, improper sitting posture, continuous work in one posture and overexertion, load bearing movements during travelling and sports. All these factors lead to the increase in the incidents of Manyasthambha in a large population. In classics Manyasthambha is explained under Vataja Nanatmaja Vikaras and is mentioned as Kaphaavruta Vata in its Samprapthi. While explaining treatment of Manyasthambha, Acharya Susruta clearly explains about Rooksha Sweda and Nasya which helps in the Samprapti Vighatana of Avarana in Manyasthambha.

The potential ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic global shut down on physical education providers and youth sport coaches may be particularly severe due to substantial cutbacks on many of their normal activities. This population faces unique challenges in engaging in “virtual learning” given the physical nature of their job, potentially leading to sedentary lifestyle, weight gain, and the development of depressive mood disorders. This commentary aims to explore options to mitigate worsening of stress, depression, physical inactivity, and social disconnection in youth sport coaches following the guidelines of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and to call attention to this vulnerable demographic which has been substantially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

AbstractAs a means for investigating human mobility during late the Neolithic to the Copper Age in central and southern Italy, this study presents a novel dataset of enamel oxygen and carbon isotope values (δ18Oca and δ13Cca) from the carbonate fraction of biogenic apatite for one hundred and twenty-six individual teeth coming from two Neolithic and eight Copper Age communities. The measured δ18Oca values suggest a significant role of local sources in the water inputs to the body water, whereas δ13Cca values indicate food resources, principally based on C3 plants. Both δ13Cca and δ18Oca ranges vary substantially when samples are broken down into local populations. Statistically defined thresholds, accounting for intra-site variability, allow the identification of only a few outliers in the eight Copper Age communities, suggesting that sedentary lifestyle rather than extensive mobility characterized the investigated populations. This seems to be also typical of the two studied Neolithic communities. Overall, this research shows that the investigated periods in peninsular Italy differed in mobility pattern from the following Bronze Age communities from more northern areas.

Background: There has been an increase in rate of cesarean section over last five decades. This is a matter of international public health concern as it increases the cesarean section related maternal morbidity. The aim of the present study was to audit the increasing rate of caesarean section.Methods: In the present study, all cases delivered by cesarean section during the period of six months were recorded and classified according to Robson's 10 group classification system. This was an attempt to see which clinically relevant groups contributed most to the cesarean deliveries.Results: There was a trend of increased percentage of cesarean section in group 5 and 2 respectively in present study. Increasingly sedentary lifestyle and poor tolerance to pain are adding to cesarean delivery on maternal request.Conclusions: We should judiciously make use of vaginal birth after cesarean section but not at the cost of maternal or fetal health. Standardization of indication of cesarean deliveries, regular audits and definite protocols in                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 hospital will aid in curbing the rate of cesarean deliveries in hospitals.
