The purpose of this study was to determine the application of self-regulated learning interventions to increase learning motivation and learning abilities in junior high school students who come from families with low socioeconomic levels. The intervention was given for five sessions through psychoeducation and assignments. The subject of this study is a male, 15 years old. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data analysis using triangulation techniques. The results of the analysis of observations, interviews, and assignment documents show that there are differences before and after the subject was given intervention. In general, self-regulated learning intervention has a positive impact on learning motivation and learning abilities of the subject. Several factors that support and inhibit intervention were explained. Some suggestions are given to develop the further intervention.

The purposes of this study are to describe the enhancement and the achievement of students’ Mathematical Creative Thinking Skills (MCTS) and Self Regulated Learning (SRL) through implementation of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) and Conventional Learning (CL). The population of this study were Junior High School students in Tasikmalaya City. The sample of this study were eighth grade students representing the high school level and the medium school level. This research is a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group. The instrument used is a test MCTS, scale independence of learners, and the observation sheet. Analysis of data using Kruskal Wallis test. The final conclusion: 1) Achievement and improvement of MCTS RME group is better than CL group; and 2) Achievement and improvement of Self Regulated Learning (SRL) RME group is better than CL group.

AbstractThis research aimed at knowing positive relationship between family functioning with self-regulated learning of Pangudi Luhur Van Lith Muntilan Senior High School students. This research was conducted on 80 students by using random sampling technique. The method used in this research is quantitative method. Measuring instrument used for family functioning is The McMaster Model of Family Functioning with alpha cronbach’s coefficient is 0,927 and self-regulated scale with alpha cronbach’s coefficient is 0,899. From the data analysis obtained the result of coefficient correlation is 0,366 with the significance amount 0,000 (p < 0,05), so it can be concluded that there is a positive correlation between family functioning and self-regulated learning of Pangudi Luhur Van Lith Muntilan Senior High School students, so the hypothesis pruposed in this study is accepted.

This research was aimed to develop Hypermedia as an alternative learning resources that support self-regulated learning implementation for English Debating Training in Highschool. The product was developed by the framework of web-based learning environment development model. To ensure the effectivity of the product, hypermedia was tested on formative and sumative evaluation involving expert, teacher, and students as participants. At the end of the study, the product was found effective which is indicated by (1) 80% of students often use this hypermedia at their home as self-regulated learning resources, (2) the improvement of students debating knowledge which indicated by the improvement test result by 3.3 poin, and (3) outstanding the students’ achievement of debating competencies that 50% of the students have above average debating skills after learning with hypermedia “Enjoy Your Debate!”

Transitioning from high school to university presents a significant challenge for many students on multiple fronts, including language learning. This mixed-method study draws on an ecological perspective to investigate students’ English learning experiences during the transition from high school to university in China, focusing on teaching content, teaching approach, assessment and feedback, and self-regulated learning. Data is collected from six universities at three different academic levels in China, and analyzed using both statistical and thematic analysis. The research finds that there are differences between high school and university English language education in the above-mentioned four areas, and students’ ecopotentials are of critical importance for their adaptation to university English learning. These findings suggest the necessity of the continuity of teaching content, the promotion of individualized curricula, and the cultivation of self-regulated learning capacities to support students’ sustainable English learning during the transition from high school to university.
