There are increasing traffic pollution issues in the process of urbanization in many countries; urban rail transit is low-carbon and widely regarded as an effective way to solve such problems. The passenger flow proportion of different transportation types is changing along with the adjustment of the urban traffic structure and a growing demand from passengers. The reduction of carbon emissions brought about by rail transit lacks specific quantitative research. Based on a travel survey of urban residents, this paper constructed a method of estimating carbon emissions from two different scenarios where rail transit is and is not available. This study uses the traditional four-stage model to forecast passenger volume demand at the city level and then obtains the basic target parameters for constructing the carbon emission reduction model, including the trip origin-destination (OD), mode, and corresponding distance range of different modes on the urban road network. This model was applied to Baoji, China, where urban rail transit will be available from 2023. It calculates the changes in carbon emission that rail transit can bring about and its impact on carbon emission reductions in Baoji in 2023.

Transferring plays an important role between different lines of urban rail transport and routine public transit. The convenience of a transfer station not only directly affects the efficiency of the whole traffic network, but also is a key factor that influences travel convenience. Based on GIS, through the study of the convenience at the 16 subway transfer stations in Beijing, the article tries to find the relationship of the evaluations on the transferring between metro-metro and metro-bus. Finally, by further clustering analysis on the spatial distributions of the transferring evaluations, this article reveals the existing problems of the layout of transfer stations and proposes several effective suggestions and countermeasures for them.

The work contributes to the development of the optimal solution of the horizontal and vertical gap between the platform edge and the tramway threshold in Wroclaw. General arguments for the development of urban rail transport have been described, and the basic features of an attractive system are discussed. Historical and current works focused on the position of the car floor with relation to the platform were collected, taking into account selected current foreign regulations. Suggested solutions possible for use in Wroclaw conditions were posed. The necessity of carrying out further detailed studies and considerations to be carried out in the second part of the work has been emphasized.

The article presents the concept of an integrated rail transport system in Radom, based on classical and dual-system trams, taking into account the role of regional rail in servicing urban and agglomeration transport. The development of the concept of the tram network in Radom was presented and then the analysis of the conditions for the development of urban rail transport was made. The article is a synthetic description of the author's version of the city transport service model, with an emphasis on the integration of various transport modes, as well as technical, operational and organizational aspects essential in planning the connection of the tram and railway layout in Polish conditions.

In recent decades, with the acceleration of population flowing in China, large and medium-sized cities to speed up the construction of urban rail. Relatively high speed railway, the requirement of the urban rail is relatively low, so it can be designed on the basis of high speed railway track structure for urban rail transport, this gives the designer the design of large space; Each city urban rail structure more or less differences. Especially fastening system is various, even in the same line also exist different fastening systems.Because Chinese fastening system in the subway is various, not a fixed is widely used fastening system; This paper, the DT series fastening in subway system has carried on the simple summary. Make a reference for fastening researchers.
