The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a recession in Indonesia. Islamic philanthropy is a solution offered by Islamic economics in an effort to overcome the impact of economic turmoil due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Islamic philanthropic institutions need to innovate, one of which is through digitalizing aid-raising (zakat, infaq, alms). This study aims to determine public interest in the philanthropic movement and the role of digitalization of Islamic philanthropy in reducing the impact of the economic recession in society. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the object of research is the ACT (Quick Response Action) in Surakarta. The data obtained were sourced from observations, interviews and related literature studies. Research informants came from donation institutions (ACT), donors and recipients of donations. The results showed that during the pandemic, people's motivation to share increased. This positive interest, coupled with the role of digitalizing donation payments, has made it easier for the public to pay for donations. This momentum has proven to trigger the optimization of fundraising for humanitarian aid donations in helping affected communities, so as to reduce the potential for economic turmoil by maintaining the stability of people's purchasing power.

The article considers the problem of determining the role of self-reflection in the process of adaptation of students to the conditions of study at university. It is suggested that the specifics of self-reflection depend on the outcomes of social psychological adaptation of students in the educational environment of university. The study involved 320 students (average age — 24.1 years old, SD = 6.8, males — 10.3%). The following standardized techniques were used: studies on student adaptation at university (T.D. Dubovitskaya, A.V. Krylova), diagnostics of social psychological adaptation (K. Rogers, R. Diamond), measures of selfreflection level (A.V. Karpov, V. V. Ponomaryova), and custom-developed scales for evaluating self-reflective activity. The study revealed that self-reflective activity and situational, retrospective, and perspective self-reflection are specific for welladapted students as well as for students with difficulties in adaptation. It is clear that regulation of dynamics of self-reflective images is important for the process of adaptation to university, allowing the individual to combine the dynamics necessary for quick response to changes in the situation and sufficient stability and clarity for understanding and creating motivation.

Thirty-three students used their personal mobile devices to access digital media in a paper-based textbook containing Quick Response (QR) codes. The students worked in small groups with minimal intervention from the course instructor to participate in activities and complete assignments. Information regarding student satisfaction with the course, as well as their perceptions of the benefits and disadvantages of the instructional method employed, were gathered through a questionnaire and a reflective writing activity. The results indicated that overall satisfaction was high (<em>M</em> = 3.38), especially regarding the role of the instructor (<em>M</em> = 3.35) and interaction (<em>M</em> = 3.35). However, participants indicated a lower level of satisfaction with the materials (<em>M</em> = 2.89). Further inquiry revealed that dissatisfaction with the course materials was due to the lack of a stable Wi-Fi connection at the university rather than the design or content of the textbooks.
